Romans 8
1 There is then now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Dlatego teraz żadnego potępienia nie ma dla tych, którzy są w Jezusie Chrystusie, [którzy] nie postępują według ciała, ale według Ducha.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life set me free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
Gdyż prawo Ducha życia, [które jest] w Jezusie Chrystusie, uwolniło mnie od prawa grzechu i śmierci.
3 For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God hath done, who on account of sin sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and passed sentence of condemnation on sin in the flesh;
Co bowiem [było] niemożliwe dla prawa, w czym było [ono] słabe z powodu ciała, Bóg, posławszy swego Syna w podobieństwie grzesznego ciała i z powodu grzechu, potępił grzech w ciele;
4 so that what is required by the Law might be accomplished in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Aby sprawiedliwość prawa wypełniła się w nas, którzy postępujemy nie według ciała, ale według Ducha.
5 For they who are according to the flesh have their mind on the things of the flesh; but they who are according to the Spirit, on the things of the Spirit.
Ci bowiem, którzy żyją według ciała, myślą o tym, co cielesne, ale ci, którzy [żyją] według Ducha, [myślą] o tym, co duchowe.
6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace.
Gdyż zamysł ciała [to] śmierć, ale zamysł Ducha [to] życie i pokój;
7 Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it doth not submit itself to the Law of God, neither indeed can it.
Dlatego, że zamysł ciała jest nieprzyjacielem Boga, bo nie poddaje się prawu Bożemu, gdyż i nie może.
8 And they who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Ci więc, którzy są w ciele, nie mogą podobać się Bogu.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any one hath to not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Lecz wy nie jesteście w ciele, ale w Duchu, gdyż Duch Boży mieszka w was. A jeśli ktoś nie ma Ducha Chrystusa, ten do niego nie należy.
10 And if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Ale jeśli Chrystus jest w was, to ciało jest martwe z powodu grzechu, a duch jest żywy z powodu sprawiedliwości.
11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he who raised up Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
A jeśli Duch tego, który Jezusa wskrzesił z martwych, mieszka w was, ten, który wskrzesił Chrystusa z martwych, ożywi i wasze śmiertelne ciała przez swego Ducha, który w was mieszka.
12 So then, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
Tak więc, bracia, jesteśmy dłużnikami, [ale] nie ciała, abyśmy [mieli] żyć według ciała.
13 For if ye live according to the flesh, ye are sure to die; but if by the Spirit ye make an end of the deeds of the body, ye will live.
Jeśli bowiem żyjecie według ciała, umrzecie, ale jeśli Duchem uśmiercacie uczynki ciała, będziecie żyć.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God.
Wszyscy bowiem ci, którzy są prowadzeni przez Ducha Bożego, są synami Bożymi.
15 For ye did not receive the spirit of bondage so as to be again in fear; but ye received the spirit of adopted children, whereby we cry, Abba, Father!
Gdyż nie otrzymaliście ducha niewoli, aby znowu się bać, ale otrzymaliście Ducha usynowienia, przez którego wołamy: Abba, Ojcze!
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God;
Ten to Duch poświadcza naszemu duchowi, że jesteśmy dziećmi Bożymi.
17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and fellow-heirs with Christ; if indeed we are suffering with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
A jeśli dziećmi, [to] i dziedzicami, dziedzicami Boga, a współdziedzicami Chrystusa, jeśli tylko z nim cierpimy, abyśmy też z nim byli uwielbieni.
18 For I esteem the sufferings of the present time as of no account, when compared with the glory which is about to be revealed to us.
Uważam bowiem, że cierpienia teraźniejszego czasu nie są godne [porównywania z] tą przyszłą chwałą, która ma się w nas objawić.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Stworzenie bowiem z gorliwym wypatrywaniem oczekuje objawienia synów Bożych.
20 For the creation was brought into subjection to vanity not of its own will, but by reason of him who put it into subjection,
Gdyż stworzenie jest poddane marności, nie dobrowolnie, ale z powodu tego, który je poddał, w nadziei;
21 in hope that even the creation itself will be set free from the bondage of corruption and brought into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
Że i samo stworzenie będzie uwolnione z niewoli zniszczenia do chwalebnej wolności dzieci Bożych.
22 For we know that the whole creation is together groaning and suffering the pains of labor, up to this time;
Wiemy bowiem, że całe stworzenie razem jęczy i razem cierpi w bólach [rodzenia] aż dotąd.
23 and not only so, but even we ourselves also, though having the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption as sons, for the redemption of our body.
A nie tylko [ono], ale i my, którzy mamy pierwsze plony Ducha, i my sami w sobie wzdychamy, oczekując usynowienia, odkupienia naszego ciała.
24 For we were saved only in hope. But hope which is seen is not hope; how can a man hope for that which he seeth?
Nadzieją bowiem jesteśmy zbawieni. A nadzieja, którą się widzi, nie jest nadzieją, bo jakże ktoś [może] spodziewać się [tego], co widzi?
25 But if we hope for that which we do not see, then do we with patience wait for it.
Ale jeśli spodziewamy się tego, czego nie widzimy, [to] oczekujemy [tego] z cierpliwością.
26 In like manner the Spirit also helpeth our weakness; for we know not what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedeth with groans which cannot be expressed in words.
Podobnie i Duch dopomaga naszej słabości. Nie wiemy bowiem, o co powinniśmy się modlić, jak trzeba, ale sam Duch wstawia się za nami w niewysłowionych westchnieniach.
27 But he that searcheth the hearts knoweth the mind of the Spirit, because it intercedeth for the holy according to the will of God.
A ten, który bada serca, wie, jaki jest zamysł Ducha, ponieważ według [woli] Boga wstawia się za świętymi.
28 We know moreover that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
A wiemy, że wszystko współdziała dla dobra tych, którzy miłują Boga, [to jest] tych, którzy są powołani według postanowienia [Boga].
29 For he determined beforehand that those whom he foreknew should be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren.
Tych bowiem, których on przedtem znał, [tych] też przeznaczył, aby stali się podobni do obrazu jego Syna, żeby on był pierworodny między wieloma braćmi.
30 And those whom he before appointed, he also called; and those whom he called, he also accepted as righteous; and those whom he accepted as righteous, he also glorified.
Tych zaś, których przeznaczył, tych też powołał, a których powołał, tych też usprawiedliwił, a których usprawiedliwił, tych też uwielbił.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Cóż więc na to powiemy? Jeśli Bóg za nami, któż przeciwko nam?
32 He who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?
On, który nawet własnego Syna nie oszczędził, ale wydał go za nas wszystkich, jakże nie [miałby] z nim darować nam wszystkiego?
33 Who shall bring any charge against the chosen of God? God is he who accepteth them as righteous.
Któż będzie oskarżał wybranych Bożych? Bóg [jest tym], który usprawiedliwia.
34 Who is he that condemneth? Christ is he that died, yea rather, who rose again, who is also at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Któż potępi? Chrystus jest tym, który umarł, więcej, zmartwychwstał, który też jest po prawicy Boga i wstawia się za nami.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ for us? Shall affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?
Któż nas odłączy od miłości Chrystusa? [Czy] utrapienie, czy ucisk, czy prześladowanie, czy głód, czy nagość, czy niebezpieczeństwo, czy miecz?
36 As it is written, “For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we were accounted as sheep for slaughter.”
Jak jest napisane: Z powodu ciebie przez cały dzień nas zabijają, uważają nas za owce [przeznaczone] na rzeź.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us.
Ale w tym wszystkim całkowicie zwyciężamy przez tego, który nas umiłował.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
Jestem bowiem pewien, że ani śmierć, ani życie, ani aniołowie, ani zwierzchności, ani moce, ani teraźniejsze, ani przyszłe [rzeczy];
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God for us, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ani wysokość, ani głębokość, ani żadne inne stworzenie nie będzie mogło nas odłączyć od miłości Boga, która jest w Jezusie Chrystusie, naszym Panu.
