< Romans 5 >

1 Therefore being accepted as righteous through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
Nítorí náà, níwọ̀n ìgbà tí a ti dá wa láre nípa ìgbàgbọ́, àwa ní àlàáfíà lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run nípasẹ̀ Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi.
2 through whom also we have had admission into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory which God will confer.
Nípasẹ̀ ẹni tí àwa sì ti rí ọ̀nà gbà nípa ìgbàgbọ́ sí inú oore-ọ̀fẹ́ yìí nínú èyí tí àwa gbé dúró. Àwa sì ń yọ̀ nínú ìrètí ògo Ọlọ́run.
3 And not only so, but we rejoice in afflictions also, knowing that affliction produceth endurance,
Kì í sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ nìkan, ṣùgbọ́n àwa tún ń ṣògo nínú ìjìyà pẹ̀lú, bí a ti mọ̀ pé ìjìyà ń ṣiṣẹ́ sùúrù;
4 and endurance proof [[of faith]], and proof [[of faith giveth]] hope;
àti pé sùúrù ń ṣiṣẹ́ ìwà rere; àti pé ìwà rere ń ṣiṣẹ́ ìrètí.
5 and hope will not disappoint us; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which hath been given to us.
Ìrètí kì í sì í dójúti ni nítorí a ti dá ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run sí wa lọ́kàn láti ọwọ́ Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ tí a fi fún wa.
6 For while we were yet without strength, in due season Christ died for the ungodly.
Nítorí ìgbà tí àwa jẹ́ aláìlera, ní àkókò tí ó yẹ, Kristi kú fún àwa aláìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run.
7 Now hardly for a righteous man will one die; perhaps, however, for a benefactor one might even dare to die.
Nítorí ó ṣọ̀wọ́n kí ẹnìkan tó kú fún olódodo, ṣùgbọ́n fún ènìyàn rere bóyá ẹlòmíràn tilẹ̀ lè dábàá láti kú.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run fi ìfẹ́ òun pàápàá sí wa hàn nínú èyí pé, nígbà tí àwa jẹ́ ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, Kristi kú fún wa.
9 Much more then, being now accepted as righteous through his blood, we shall be saved through him from the [[coming]] wrath.
Mélòó mélòó sì ni tí a dá wa láre nísinsin yìí nípa ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀ ni a ó gbà wá là kúrò nínú ìbínú nípasẹ̀ rẹ̀.
10 For if while enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more having been reconciled shall we be saved by his life;
Ǹjẹ́, nígbà tí àwa wà ní ọ̀tá, a mú wa, ba Ọlọ́run làjà nípa ikú Ọmọ rẹ̀, mélòó mélòó, nígbà tí a là wá ní ìjà tan, ni a ó gbà wá là nípa ìyè rẹ̀.
11 and not this only, but also having joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Kì sì í ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ nìkan, ṣùgbọ́n àwa ń ṣògo nínú Ọlọ́run nípa Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi, nípasẹ̀ ẹni tí àwa ti rí ìlàjà gbà nísinsin yìí.
12 So then as through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin death, and thus [[death]] came through unto all men, because all sinned—
Nítorí gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ti tipa ọ̀dọ̀ ènìyàn kan wọ ayé, àti ikú nípa ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ikú sì kọjá sórí ènìyàn gbogbo, láti ọ̀dọ̀ ẹni tí gbogbo ènìyàn ti dẹ́ṣẹ̀.
13 (for all the time before the Law sin was in the world; but sin is not set to one's account when there is no law.
Nítorí kí òfin tó dé, ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ti wà láyé; ṣùgbọ́n a kò ka ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ sí ni lọ́rùn nígbà tí òfin kò sí.
14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the manner in which Adam transgressed; who is a type of him who was to come.—
Ṣùgbọ́n ikú jẹ ọba láti ìgbà Adamu wá títí fi di ìgbà ti Mose, àti lórí àwọn tí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn kò dàbí irú ìrékọjá Adamu, ẹni tí í ṣe àpẹẹrẹ ẹni tí ń bọ̀.
15 But the free gift was not as the transgression. For if through the offence of the one the many died, much more hath the grace of God, and the gift which is by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ, abounded to the many.
Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀bùn ọ̀fẹ́ kò dàbí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀. Nítorí bí nípa ẹ̀ṣẹ̀. Nítorí bí o bá jẹ pé ẹnìkan ẹni púpọ̀ kú, mélòó mélòó ni oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Ọlọ́run, àti ẹ̀bùn nínú oore-ọ̀fẹ́ ọkùnrin kan, Jesu Kristi, di púpọ̀ fún ẹni púpọ̀.
16 And the free gift is not like what happened through one man who sinned. For sentence of condemnation followed one offence; but the free gift is a justification after many offences.
Kì í ṣe nípa ẹnìkan tí ó sẹ̀ ni ẹ̀bùn náà, nítorí ìdájọ́ ti ipasẹ̀ ẹnìkan wá fún ìdálẹ́bi, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀bùn ọ̀fẹ́ ti inú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ púpọ̀ wá fún ìdáláre.
17 For if by one trespass death reigned through the one man, much more will they who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.)—
Ǹjẹ́ bí o bá jẹ pé nípa ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ọkùnrin kan, ikú jẹ ọba nípasẹ̀ ẹnìkan náà; mélòó mélòó ni àwọn tí ń gba ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ oore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti ẹ̀bùn òdodo yóò jẹ ọba nínú ìyè nípasẹ̀ ẹnìkan, Jesu Kristi.
18 As then through one trespass all men have come under condemnation, so through one act of righteousness all obtain the gift of righteousness unto life.
Ǹjẹ́ bí o bá jẹ pé nípa ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ẹnìkan ìdájọ́ dé bá gbogbo ènìyàn sí ìdálẹ́bi; gẹ́gẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀ ni nípa ìwà òdodo ẹnìkan, ẹ̀bùn ọ̀fẹ́ dé sórí gbogbo ènìyàn fún ìdáláre sí ìyè.
19 For as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of the one man will the many be made righteous.
Nítorí gẹ́gẹ́ bí nípa àìgbọ́ràn ọkùnrin kan, ènìyàn púpọ̀ di ẹlẹ́ṣẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni nípa ìgbọ́ràn ẹnìkan, a ó sọ ènìyàn púpọ̀ di olódodo.
20 Moreover the law came in in addition, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded much more;
Ṣùgbọ́n òfin bọ́ sí inú rẹ̀, kí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ lè di púpọ̀, ṣùgbọ́n ni ibi ti ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ di púpọ̀, oore-ọ̀fẹ́ di púpọ̀ rékọjá.
21 that as sin reigned in death, so grace might reign through righteousness to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
Pé, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ti jẹ ọba nípa ikú bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ sì lè jẹ ọba nípa òdodo títí ìyè àìnípẹ̀kun nípasẹ̀ Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa. (aiōnios g166)
