< Romans 3 >

1 What then is the advantage of the Jew? or what the benefit of circumcision?
Ɛnneɛ na Yudaniyɛ ho mfasoɔ ne sɛn, anaasɛ twetiatwa ho wɔ mfasoɔ bi?
2 Great, every way. In the first place, because they were entrusted with the oracles of God.
Aane mfasoɔ wɔ so. Deɛ ɛdi ɛkan no, Onyankopɔn de ne nsɛm ahyɛ wɔn nsa.
3 For what? If some were unfaithful, shall their unfaithfulness make God unfaithful?
Na sɛ ebinom nni gyidie ɛ? Gyidie a wɔnni no kyerɛ sɛ Onyankopɔn nyɛ ɔnokwafoɔ anaa?
4 Far be it! yea, let God be true, and every man a liar; as it is written, “That thou mayst be justified in thy words, and mayst overcome when thou art arraigned.”
Ɛnte saa koraa! Sɛ obiara yɛ ɔtorofoɔ a, Onyankopɔn deɛ, ɔyɛ ɔnokwafoɔ, sɛdeɛ wɔatwerɛ sɛ, “Wodi bem wɔ wo kasa mu na wotene wɔ wʼatemmuo mu.”
5 But if our unrighteousness serve to display the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who inflicteth punishment? (I am speaking as men do.)
Na obi bɛka sɛ, “sɛ yɛn bɔne a yɛyɛ no da Onyankopɔn tenenee adi kann a, adɛn enti na ɛsɛ sɛ Onyankopɔn abufuhyeɛ ba yɛn so?” (Merekasa sɛ onipa)
6 Far be it! For then how shall God judge the world?
Dabi! Sɛ Onyankopɔn nyɛ ɔteneneeni a, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na watumi abu ewiase atɛn?
7 For if, through my being false, the truth of God hath been more abundantly manifested to his glory, why am I still judged as a sinner?
Obi bɛgye akyinnyeɛ aka sɛ, “Sɛ me nkontompo ma Onyankopɔn nokorɛ da adi na nʼanimuonyam boro so a, ɛnneɛ adɛn enti na Onyankopɔn bu me fɔ sɛ ɔdebɔneyɛfoɔ?”
8 And why do you not say, as some slanderously charge us with saying, Let us do evil, that good may come? The condemnation of such men is just.
Ebinom nso bɛka sɛ, “Ɛnneɛ momma yɛnyɛ bɔne sɛdeɛ biribi pa bɛfiri mu aba!” Nnipa bi mpo ka sɛ saa asɛm yi na yɛka. Onyankopɔn bɛbu wɔn atɛn.
9 What then? Are we better than others? By no means! For we have already brought a charge both against Jews and Greeks, that they are all under sin.
Ɛnneɛ, ɛdeɛn na yɛnka? Yɛn Yudafoɔ yɛ nnipa sene amanamanmufoɔ no anaa? Ɛnte saa! Makyerɛ mu dada sɛ Yudafoɔ ne amanamanmufoɔ nyinaa yɛ pɛ wɔ bɔne tumi ase.
10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;
Sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Obiara nyɛ ɔteneneeni;
11 there is none that hath understanding, there is none that diligently seeketh God;
obiara nyɛ ɔbadwemma; na obiara nni hɔ a ɔhwehwɛ Onyankopɔn akyiri kwan.
12 they have all turned aside from the right way, they have become worthless together; there is none that doeth good, not even one.
Nnipa nyinaa atwe wɔn ho afiri Onyankopɔn ho; wɔn nyinaa ayɛ bɔne. Obiara nni hɔ a ɔyɛ papa. Ɔbaako mpo nni hɔ.”
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have practised deceit. The poison of asps is under their lips.
“Wɔn anom te sɛ damena a abue; na wɔn tɛkrɛma ka atorɔsɛm.” “Wɔn anofafa ka nsɛm a ɛte sɛ ɔwɔ ano borɔ.”
14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
“Nnome a ɛyɛ hu na ɛfiri wɔn anom ba.”
15 Swift are their feet to shed blood;
“Wɔnkyɛre opira ne awudie ho;
16 destruction and misery are in their ways;
baabiara a wɔbɛkɔ no, wɔsɛe hɔ pasaa,
17 and the way of peace they know not.
na wɔnnim asomdwoeɛ kwan.”
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
“Na wɔnnsuro Onyankopɔn.”
19 Now we know that whatever the Law saith, it saith to those who are under the Law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world become subject to condemnation before God.
Yɛnim sɛ biribiara a ɛwɔ Mmara no mu no, wɔtwerɛ maa wɔn a wɔhyɛ Mmara no tumi ase. Mmara no ka yeinom sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a obiara rennya anoyie, na ama Onyankopɔn akyerɛ sɛ ewiase nyinaa di fɔ.
20 Because by works of the Law no flesh shall be accepted as righteous: for by the Law is the knowledge of sin.
Ɛfiri sɛ, obiara nni hɔ a sɛ ɔyɛ deɛ Mmara no hyɛ sɛ ɔnyɛ a, Onyankopɔn bɛbu no bem. Deɛ Mmara no yɛ ara ne sɛ, ɛma onipa hunu sɛ wayɛ bɔne.
21 But now, apart from the Law, the righteousness which is of God, to which the Law and the Prophets bear testimony,
Wɔada teneneeyɛ a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn, na ɛmfiri mmara no adi. Ɛno na Mmara no ne Adiyifoɔ no di ho adanseɛ.
22 even the righteousness which is of God through faith in Jesus Christ, hath been made manifest to all and for all believers. For there is no distinction.
Saa teneneeyɛ a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn yi nam gyidie a yɛwɔ wɔ Yesu Kristo mu. Ɛwɔ hɔ ma agyidifoɔ nyinaa. Nsonsonoeɛ biara nni mu.
23 For all have sinned, and fail of obtaining the glory which cometh from God;
Na nnipa nyinaa ayɛ bɔne ama Onyankopɔn animuonyam abɔ wɔn,
24 being accepted as righteous freely, by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
nanso ɔnam Kristo adom nkwagyeɛ no so abu wɔn nyinaa bem kwa.
25 whom, in his blood, through faith, God hath set forth as a propitiatory sacrifice, in order to manifest his righteousness, on account of his passing by, in his forbearance, the sins committed in former times;
Onyankopɔn somaa Kristo sɛ ɔmfa ne ho mmɛbɔ afɔdeɛ mma yɛn. Kristo de ne mogya maaeɛ, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, gyidie a yɛbɛnya wɔ ne mu enti wɔbɛgye yɛn. Saa afɔdeɛ yi ma yɛhunu sɛ, mmerɛ a atwa mu no, Onyankopɔn nam boasetɔ ne adom so de bɔne kyɛeɛ.
26 in order to manifest his righteousness at the present time, so that he may be righteous, and accept as righteous him who hath faith.
Ɛfiri sɛ na Onyankopɔn rehwɛ ɛkwan na ɔde wɔn abɛka deɛ ɔreyɛ saa ɛberɛ yi no ho. Onyankopɔn yɛɛ yei de kyerɛɛ ne tenenee, ɛfiri sɛ ɔno ankasa nyɛ nyiyimu, na ɔbu atɛntenenee nso, na sɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ gye Yesu di a, ɔbu wɔn sɛ wɔtene wɔ nʼani so.
27 Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay; but by the law of faith.
Ɛnneɛ ɛdeɛn na yɛde bɛhoahoa yɛn ho? Biribiara nni hɔ! Na adɛn nti? Mmara no a yɛdi so no enti na wagye yɛn anaa? Dabi. Gye a ɔgye yɛn no nnyina mmara a yɛdi so, na mmom, ɛgyina gyidie a yɛwɔ wɔ Yesu mu.
28 We conclude therefore, that a man is accepted as righteous through faith, without the works of the Law.
Ne tiawatwa ne sɛ, wɔnam gyidie so na wɔbu onipa bem, na ɛnyɛ Mmara a ɔdi so no enti.
29 Or is God [[the God]] of Jews alone? Is he not also the God of gentiles? Yea, of gentiles also.
Onyankopɔn yɛ Yudafoɔ nko ara Onyankopɔn anaa? Ɔnyɛ amanamanmufoɔ nso Onyankopɔn bi anaa? Ɛyɛ nokorɛ turodoo sɛ ɔyɛ amanamanmufoɔ nso Onyankopɔn.
30 Seeing there is but one God, who will accept the circumcised as righteous by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.
Onyankopɔn yɛ baako, na ɔnam gyidie nko ara a Yudafoɔ wɔ so bɛbu wɔn bem. Na saa ara nso na ɔnam gyidie nko ara so bɛbu amanamanmufoɔ bem.
31 Do we then make void the Law through faith? Far be it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.
Enti, yei kyerɛ sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛfa saa gyidie no so gyae Mmara no so di anaa? Dabi, na mmom, sɛ yɛwɔ gyidie a, yɛfoa Mmara no adanseɛ so.
