Romans 15
1 We then who are strong ought to hear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Povinniť jsme pak my silní mdloby nemocných snášeti, a ne sami sobě se líbiti.
2 Let each one of us please his neighbor, to promote what is good, for edification.
Ale jeden každý z nás bližnímu se lib k dobrému pro vzdělání.
3 For Christ did not seek his own pleasure, but, as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me.”
Nebo i Kristus ne sám se sobě líbil, ale jakož psáno jest: Hanění hanějících tebe připadla jsou na mne.
4 For whatever things were written aforetime, were written for our instruction; that we through the patience and the consolation of the Scriptures might have hope.
Nebo kteréžkoli věci napsány jsou, k našemu naučení napsány jsou, abychom skrze trpělivost a potěšení Písem naději měli.
5 And may the God of patience and consolation grant that ye may be of the same mind one with another, according to Christ Jesus;
Bůh pak dárce trpělivosti a potěšení dejž vám jednomyslným býti vespolek podle Jezukrista,
6 that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Abyste jednomyslně jedněmi ústy oslavovali Boha a Otce Pána našeho Jezukrista.
7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ received you to the glory of God.
Protož přijímejte se vespolek, jakož i Kristus přijal nás v slávu Boží.
8 For I say that Christ became a minister to the circumcised for the sake of God's truth, in order to make sure the promises given to the fathers;
Neboť pravím vám, že Kristus Ježíš byl služebníkem obřízky pro Boží pravost, aby potvrzeni byli slibové otcům učinění,
9 and that the gentiles glorified God for his mercy, as it is written, “For this cause I will give praise to thee among the gentiles, and sing to thy name.”
A aby pohané z milosrdenství slavili Boha, jakož psáno jest: Protož vyznávati tebe budu mezi pohany, a jménu tvému plésati budu.
10 And again he saith: “Rejoice, ye gentiles, with his people.”
A opět dí: Veselte se pohané s lidem jeho.
11 And again: “Praise the Lord, all ye gentiles, and let every people praise him.”
A opět: Chvalte Hospodina všickni národové, a velebtež ho všickni lidé.
12 And again Isaiah saith: “There shall be the shoot from Jesse, and he that riseth up to rule the gentiles; in him shall the gentiles hope.”
A opět Izaiáš dí: Budeť kořen Jesse, a ten, jenž povstane, panovati nad pohany; v němť pohané doufati budou.
13 And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Bůh pak naděje naplňujž vás všelikou radostí a pokojem u víře, tak abyste se rozhojnili v naději skrze moc Ducha svatého.
14 But I myself am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are even of yourselves full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Vím zajisté, bratří moji, i já také o vás, že i vy jste plní dobroty, naplněni jsouce všelikou známostí, takže se i napomínati můžete vespolek.
15 But I have written to you, brethren, in a manner somewhat bold on some subjects, as putting you in mind, on account of the grace given me by God
Ale však proto psal jsem vám, bratří, poněkud směle, jako ku paměti přivodě vám, podle milosti, kteráž jest mi dána od Boha,
16 that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles, performing the office of a priest in respect to the gospel of God, that the oblation of the gentiles may be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
K tomu, abych byl služebníkem Ježíše Krista mezi pohany, slouže evangelium Božímu, aby byla obět pohanů vzácná, posvěcena jsuci skrze Ducha svatého.
17 I have then ground for glorying in Christ Jesus in regard to the things pertaining m God.
Mám se tedy čím chlubiti v Kristu Ježíši, v Božích věcech.
18 For I will not be bold to say anything hut of what Christ hath actually wrought by me to bring the gentiles to obedience by word and deed,
Neboť bych se neodvážil mluviti toho, čehož by skrze mne neučinil Kristus, k tomu, aby ku poslušenství přivedeni byli pohané slovem i skutkem,
19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and in the country around even to Illyricum, I have fully made known the gospel of Christ;
V moci divů a zázraků, v síle Ducha Božího, takže jsem od Jeruzaléma vůkol až k Ilyrické zemi naplnil evangelium Kristovým,
20 but always earnestly desirous to preach it in this manner, —not where Christ had been named, that I might not build on another's foundation,
A to tak žádostiv jsa kázati evangelium, kdež ani jmenován nebyl Kristus, abych na cizí základ nestavěl,
21 but, as it is written: “They, to whom no tidings concerning him came, shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.”
Ale jakož psáno jest: Kterýmž není zvěstováno o něm, uzří, a ti, jenž neslýchali, srozumějí.
22 For which cause also, for the most part, I have been hindered from coming to you.
A tímť jest mi mnohokrát překaženo přijíti k vám.
23 But now having no more opportunity in these regions, and having had for many years a great desire to come to you,
Nyní pak nemaje již více místa v těchto krajinách a žádost maje přijíti k vám od mnoha let,
24 when I go to Spain, I will come to you; for I hope to see you on my way, and to be helped forward thither by you, after I have in some degree satisfied myself with your company.
Kdyžkoli půjdu do Hišpanie, přijdu k vám. Mámť zajisté naději, že tudy jda, uzřím vás, a že vy mne provodíte tam, avšak až bych prve u vás poněkud pobyl.
25 But now I am going to Jerusalem on a service of relief to the saints.
Nyní pak beru se do Jeruzaléma, službu čině svatým.
26 For Macedonia and Achaia have thought it good to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
Nebo za dobré se vidělo Macedonským a Achaiským, aby sbírku nějakou učinili na chudé svaté, kteříž jsou v Jeruzalémě.
27 They have thought it good, and they owed it to them. For if the gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they ought in return to minister to them in temporal things.
Takť sobě to oblíbili, a také povinni jsou jim to. Nebo poněvadž duchovních věcí jejich byli účastni pohané, povinniť jsou jim také sloužiti tělesnými.
28 When therefore I have completed this business, and secured to them this fruit, I shall set out to pass through you to Spain.
A protož když to vykonám a jim odvedu užitek ten, půjduť skrze vás do Hišpanie.
29 And I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
A vímť, že přijda k vám, v hojnosti požehnání evangelium Kristova přijdu.
30 But I beseech you, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love produced by the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers to God for me;
Prosímť pak vás, bratří, skrze Pána našeho Jezukrista a skrze lásku Ducha svatého, abyste spolu se mnou modlili se za mne Bohu snažně,
31 that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judaea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;
Abych vysvobozen byl od protivníků, kteříž jsou v Judstvu a aby služba tato má příjemná byla svatým v Jeruzalémě,
32 so that, through the will of God, I may come to you in joy, and may with you be refreshed.
Abych k vám bohdá s radostí přišel, a s vámi poodpočinul.
33 And may the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Bůh pak pokoje budiž se všemi vámi. Amen.
