Romans 15
1 We then who are strong ought to hear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
আমরা যারা বলবান, আমাদের উচিত দুর্বলদের ব্যর্থতা বহন করা এবং নিজেদের সন্তুষ্ট না করা।
2 Let each one of us please his neighbor, to promote what is good, for edification.
আমাদের প্রত্যেকেরই উচিত প্রতিবেশীকে গঠন করার উদ্দেশে তার মঙ্গলের জন্য তাকে সন্তুষ্ট করা।
3 For Christ did not seek his own pleasure, but, as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me.”
কারণ, এমনকি খ্রীষ্টও নিজেকে সন্তুষ্ট করলেন না, কিন্তু যেমন লেখা আছে, “যারা তোমাকে অপমান করে, তাদের করা সব অপমান আমার উপরে এসে পড়েছে।”
4 For whatever things were written aforetime, were written for our instruction; that we through the patience and the consolation of the Scriptures might have hope.
এই কারণে, অতীতে যা কিছু লেখা হয়েছিল, তা আমাদের শিক্ষার জন্যই লেখা হয়েছিল, যেন সহিষ্ণুতা ও শাস্ত্রবাণীর আশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে আমরা প্রত্যাশা লাভ করি।
5 And may the God of patience and consolation grant that ye may be of the same mind one with another, according to Christ Jesus;
যে ঈশ্বর সহিষ্ণুতা ও আশ্বাস দেন, তিনি তোমাদের মধ্যে পরস্পরের সঙ্গে ঐক্যের মনোভাব নিয়ে বাস করার ক্ষমতা প্রদান করুন যা খ্রীষ্ট যীশুর বিশ্বাসীদের পক্ষে মানানসই।
6 that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
তখন তোমরা এক মনে ও একস্বরে আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের ঈশ্বর ও পিতার মহিমাকীর্তন করতে পারবে।
7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ received you to the glory of God.
অতএব খ্রীষ্ট যেমন তোমাদের গ্রহণ করেছেন, তেমনই ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসার জন্য তোমরা একে অপরকে গ্রহণ করো।
8 For I say that Christ became a minister to the circumcised for the sake of God's truth, in order to make sure the promises given to the fathers;
কারণ আমি তোমাদের বলি, খ্রীষ্ট ইহুদিদের দাস হয়ে এসেছিলেন যেন পিতৃপুরুষদের প্রতি ঈশ্বরের দেওয়া প্রতিশ্রুতিসমূহকে প্রমাণ করেন।
9 and that the gentiles glorified God for his mercy, as it is written, “For this cause I will give praise to thee among the gentiles, and sing to thy name.”
তিনি এই কারণেও এসেছিলেন যেন অইহুদি জাতিরাও ঈশ্বরের করুণার জন্য তাঁর মহিমাকীর্তন করে, যেমন লেখা আছে: “অতএব, অইহুদি জাতিবৃন্দের মাঝে, আমি তোমার প্রশংসা করব; আমি তোমার নামের উদ্দেশে সংকীর্তন গাইব।”
10 And again he saith: “Rejoice, ye gentiles, with his people.”
আবার তা বলে, “ওহে অইহুদি জাতিরা, তাঁর প্রজাদের সঙ্গে উল্লসিত হও।”
11 And again: “Praise the Lord, all ye gentiles, and let every people praise him.”
আবারও, “তোমরা সব অইহুদি জাতি, প্রভুর প্রশংসা করো, আর সমস্ত প্রজাবৃন্দ, তোমরাও তাঁর সংকীর্তন করো।”
12 And again Isaiah saith: “There shall be the shoot from Jesse, and he that riseth up to rule the gentiles; in him shall the gentiles hope.”
আবার যিশাইয় বলেন, “যিশয়ের মূল অঙ্কুরিত হবে, যিনি সব জাতির উপরে কর্তৃত্ব করতে উত্থিত হবেন, অইহুদিরা তাঁরই উপরে প্রত্যাশা রাখবে।”
13 And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
প্রত্যাশার ঈশ্বর তোমাদের সমস্ত আনন্দ ও শান্তিতে পূর্ণ করুন, যেমন তোমরা তাঁর উপরে বিশ্বাস করো, যেন তোমরা পবিত্র আত্মার পরাক্রমের দ্বারা প্রত্যাশায় উপচে পড়ো।
14 But I myself am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are even of yourselves full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
আমার ভাইবোনেরা, আমি নিজে নিশ্চিত যে, তোমরা নিজেরা সদগুণে পূর্ণ, পূর্ণজ্ঞানী ও পরস্পরকে শিক্ষা দেওয়ার যোগ্য।
15 But I have written to you, brethren, in a manner somewhat bold on some subjects, as putting you in mind, on account of the grace given me by God
আমি কতগুলি বিষয়ে সম্পূর্ণ সাহসের সঙ্গে তোমাদের কাছে লিখেছি, যেন সেগুলি পুনরায় তোমাদের স্মরণ করিয়ে দিই। এর কারণ হল, ঈশ্বর আমাকে অনুগ্রহ প্রদান করেছেন,
16 that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles, performing the office of a priest in respect to the gospel of God, that the oblation of the gentiles may be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
যেন আমি অইহুদিদের কাছে খ্রীষ্ট যীশুর একজন সেবক হই ও ঈশ্বরের সুসমাচার ঘোষণা করার জন্য যাজকীয় কর্তব্য পালন করি। এর পরিণামে, অইহুদিরা যেন পবিত্র আত্মা দ্বারা শুচিশুদ্ধ হয় এবং ঈশ্বরের কাছে গ্রহণযোগ্য নৈবেদ্যস্বরূপ হয়।
17 I have then ground for glorying in Christ Jesus in regard to the things pertaining m God.
সেই কারণে, আমি ঈশ্বরের জন্য আমার পরিচর্যায় খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে গর্বপ্রকাশ করি।
18 For I will not be bold to say anything hut of what Christ hath actually wrought by me to bring the gentiles to obedience by word and deed,
আমি অন্য কিছু বলার দুঃসাহস করি না, কেবলমাত্র এই বিষয় ছাড়া, যা আমার কথা ও কাজের দ্বারা অইহুদিদের ঈশ্বরের আজ্ঞবহ হওয়ার জন্য চালিত করতে খ্রীষ্ট আমার মাধ্যমে সাধন করেছেন।
19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and in the country around even to Illyricum, I have fully made known the gospel of Christ;
তিনি তা করেছেন চিহ্নকাজ ও অলৌকিক নিদর্শনের ক্ষমতার দ্বারা ও পবিত্র আত্মার পরাক্রমের দ্বারা। তাই আমি জেরুশালেম থেকে ইল্লুরিকা পর্যন্ত সমস্ত অঞ্চলে খ্রীষ্টের সুসমাচার পূর্ণরূপে ঘোষণা করেছি।
20 but always earnestly desirous to preach it in this manner, —not where Christ had been named, that I might not build on another's foundation,
সবসময়ই এ আমার উচ্চাকাঙ্ক্ষা ছিল যে, খ্রীষ্টকে যেখানে প্রচার করা হয়নি, সেখানে সুসমাচার প্রচার করি, যেন আমি অন্য কারও ভিত্তিমূলের উপর নির্মাণ না করি।
21 but, as it is written: “They, to whom no tidings concerning him came, shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.”
বরং, যেমন লেখা আছে: “তাঁর সম্পর্কে যাদের কাছে বলা হয়নি, তারা দেখতে পাবে, আর যারা শুনতে পায়নি, তারা বুঝতে পারবে।”
22 For which cause also, for the most part, I have been hindered from coming to you.
এই কারণেই, আমি তোমাদের কাছে যেতে চেয়েও প্রায়ই বাধা পেয়েছি।
23 But now having no more opportunity in these regions, and having had for many years a great desire to come to you,
কিন্তু এখন, এই সমস্ত অঞ্চলে কাজ করার জন্য, আমার আর কোনও স্থান নেই এবং যেহেতু আমি বহু বছর যাবৎ তোমাদের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করার জন্য আকুল হয়ে আছি,
24 when I go to Spain, I will come to you; for I hope to see you on my way, and to be helped forward thither by you, after I have in some degree satisfied myself with your company.
আমি স্পেনে যাওয়ার সময় তা করার পরিকল্পনা করেছি। ওই পথ অতিক্রম করার সময় আমি আশা করি তোমাদের পরিদর্শন করব, যেন কিছু সময় তোমাদের সান্নিধ্য উপভোগের পর তোমরা আমার সেখানে যাওয়ার ব্যবস্থা করে দাও।
25 But now I am going to Jerusalem on a service of relief to the saints.
এখন, আমি অবশ্য জেরুশালেমের পবিত্রগণের পরিচর্যা করার জন্য আমার যাত্রাপথে আছি।
26 For Macedonia and Achaia have thought it good to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
কারণ জেরুশালেমের পবিত্রগণের মধ্যে যারা দীনদরিদ্র, তাদের জন্য ম্যাসিডোনিয়া ও আখায়ার লোকেরা কিছু অনুদান সংগ্রহ করেছিল।
27 They have thought it good, and they owed it to them. For if the gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they ought in return to minister to them in temporal things.
তারা খুশি হয়েই এ কাজ করেছে এবং বাস্তবিকই এই ব্যাপারে তারা ওদের কাছে ঋণী। কারণ অইহুদিরা যদি ইহুদিদের আত্মিক সব আশীর্বাদের অংশীদার হয়েছে, তাহলে তাদের পার্থিব আশীর্বাদসমূহ ভাগ করে দেওয়ার জন্য তারা ইহুদিদের কাছে ঋণী।
28 When therefore I have completed this business, and secured to them this fruit, I shall set out to pass through you to Spain.
তাই, আমি এ কাজ সম্পূর্ণ করার পর এবং তারা এই ফল প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে, এ বিষয়ে সুনিশ্চিত হওয়ার পরই আমি স্পেন দেশে যাব ও যাত্রাপথে তোমাদের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করব।
29 And I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
আমি জানি যে, আমি যখন যাব, তখন আমি পূর্ণমাত্রায় খ্রীষ্টের আশীর্বাদের সঙ্গেই যাব।
30 But I beseech you, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love produced by the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers to God for me;
ভাইবোনেরা, আমি আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের কারণে ও পবিত্র আত্মার প্রেমের কারণে তোমাদের কাছে অনুনয় করছি, তোমরা আমার জন্য ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করে আমার সঙ্গে আমার সংগ্রামে যোগদান করো।
31 that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judaea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;
প্রার্থনা করো, আমি যেন যিহূদিয়ার অবিশ্বাসীদের হাত থেকে উদ্ধারলাভ করি এবং জেরুশালেমে আমার সেবাকাজ যেন সেখানকার পবিত্রগণের কাছে গ্রহণযোগ্য হয়।
32 so that, through the will of God, I may come to you in joy, and may with you be refreshed.
এর পরিণামে, আমি যেন ঈশ্বরের ইচ্ছায় সানন্দে তোমাদের কাছে যেতে পারি ও একত্র তোমাদের সঙ্গে প্রাণ জুড়াতে পারি।
33 And may the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
শান্তির ঈশ্বর তোমাদের সকলের সঙ্গে থাকুন। আমেন।
