< Romans 14 >
1 Him that is weak in his faith receive with kindness, and not to pass judgment on his thoughts.
Tambula kufumbwa muntu mutete kulusyomo, kamutapi lubeta ataa akukazanya.
2 One man hath faith to eat every kind of food; another, who is weak, eateth herbs only.
Umwi muntu ulalusyomo kukulya kufumbwa, awumwi mutete ulya chisyu kupela.
3 Let not him who eateth, despise him that eateth not; and let not him who eateth not, judge him that eateth; for God hath received him.
Oyo ulya zintu zintu zyoonse atanyansyi oyo utalyi; alimwi alakwe utalyi zintu zyonse atabeteki oyo ulya zintu zyoonse. Nkambo leza wamutambula.
4 Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? To his own lord he standeth or falleth; and he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand.
Nduweni, iwe nobeteka mulanda wawumwi? Ezi zilikuli simalelo wakwe nkwayimvwi kana kuwida. Asi ulakonzya kwima, nkambo Mwami ulamukonzyezya kuti amwimike.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike: let each one be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it to the Lord;
Umwi muntu ulalemya limwi zuba kwinda limwi. Awumwi ulalemya mazuba oonse mukwelene umwi awumwi ngabe akasimpe mumiyeyo yakwe.
6 and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. And he that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth thanks to God; and he that doth not eat, to the Lord he doth not eat, and giveth thanks to God.
Oyo ubamba buzuba, ulibambila Mwami; alimwi oyo ulya, ulyida Mwami, nkambo upabulumbu kuliLeza oyo utalyi, ulikachizizya kulya nkambo kaMwami, akulumbayizya Leza.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no one dieth to himself.
Aboobo takwe wesu uliponena mwini, alimwi takwe ulifwida mwini.
8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether then we live or die, we are the Lord's.
Anu kuti nkatupona tuponena Mwami, alimwi kuti twafwa, tufwida Mwami. Ninsya nkatupona kana kufwa, tuli baMwami.
9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.
Akaambo kazezi Kkilisitu wakafwa alimwi wakapona lubo, kuti abe mwami wabo boonse bafwide alimwi abaabo bapona.
10 But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? And thou, too, why dost thou despise thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God.
Asi nywe, kambonzi nimubeteka munyokwe? Alimwi nywe kambonzi nimunyansya munyokwe? Kaambo swe tuyoyima kuchuuno chalubeta chaLeza.
11 For it is written, “As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall give praise to God.”
Nkambo kulilembedwe, “Mbuli mbepona,”mbawamba Mwami, “kulindime mazwi ayofugama, alimwi ndimi zyoonse ziyowamba kuliLeza.”
12 So then every one of us will give account of himself to God.
Aboobo, umwi awumwi wesu uyopa makkani alangene anguwe kuliLeza.
13 Let us then no longer judge one another; but let this rather be your judgment, not to put a stumbling-block, or an occasion to fall, in a brother's way.
Aboobo, katutachibetekani, asi tuyeye ezi, kutabi ubika chilebyo kana kakole kumwenzinyina.
14 I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him that accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Ndilizi alimwi me ndasungilizigwa muMwamiJesu, kuti takwe chintu chisalala achilike. Kupela kuloyo uyeya kuti nchibi, kuloyo nchibi.
15 For if on account of food thy brother is made to mourn, thou art no longer walking according to love. Do not with thy food destroy him for whom Christ died.
Ikuti nkambo kakulya munakwanu kula mutyola, tochendi muluyando. Utamujayi akulya kwako nkambo Kkilisitu wakamufwida.
16 Let not then the blessing which ye enjoy be evil spoken of.
Kamutazuminini echo nchimuti nchibi chambwe bubi.
17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;
Nkambo bwami bwaLeza tabwensi bwakulya na kunywa, pesi mbwabululami, lulumuno, alimwi akubotelwa muMuuya uSalala.
18 for he who in this matter serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved by men.
Aboobo oyo ubelekela Kkilisitu munzila eyi ulatambulika kuliLeza alimwi ulazumininwa abantu.
19 Let us then strive to promote peace, and the edification of each other.
Aboobo, atusungwalile zintu zyalumuno alimwi zintu ziyaka umwi awumwi.
20 Do not for the sake of food undo the work of God. All things indeed are clean; but that which is pure is evil for that man who eateth so as to be an occasion of sin.
Mutajayi mulimu waLeza kumakkani akulya. Zyoonse zisalala, asi nchibi kumuntu ulya kufumbwa chintu chilebya mwenzinyina.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is put in danger of falling, or is made weak.
Tachili kabotu kuti ulye nyama, kana kunywa wayini, kana kuchita chintu chileba munyokwe.
22 Thou hast faith; have it to thyself before God. Happy is he who doth not condemn himself in that which he alloweth.
Lusyomo ndomulalo, alubambwe akati kanu aLeza. Ulilongezegwe oyo utapi mulandu kulecho nchazumina.
23 But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he doeth it not from faith; but every thing which is not from faith is sin.
Oyo udoneka ulalibeteka kuti walya, nkambo tachizwi kulusyomo. Alimwi choonse chitali chalusyomo nchibi.
