Revelation 4
1 After this I saw, and lo! an open door in heaven; and the former voice, which I heard as of a trumpet speaking with me, said, Come up hither, and I will show thee what things must take place after these.
Po tym wszystkim zobaczyłem otwarte drzwi do nieba. A głos, który usłyszałem na początku, brzmiący jak dźwięk trąby, przemówił: —Wejdź tutaj, chcę ci bowiem pokazać, co ma się wydarzyć w przyszłości.
2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and lo! a throne was set ha heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Wtedy nagle ogarnął mnie Duch—znalazłem się w niebie i zobaczyłem tron oraz Tego, który na nim zasiada. Jego blask był podobny do jaspisu i rubinu, a Jego tron otaczała tęcza, mieniąca się jak szmaragd.
3 And he who sat was in appearance like a jasper stone and a sardius; and there was a rainbow around the throne like in appearance to an emerald.
4 And around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw the twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and on their heads crowns of gold.
Wokół Jego tronu stały dwadzieścia cztery inne trony, na których siedziało dwudziestu czterech starszych. Byli oni ubrani w białe szaty, a na głowach mieli złote wieńce.
5 And out of the throne proceed lightnings, and voices and thunders; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God;
Z głównego tronu wydobywały się błyskawice i grzmoty oraz dobiegały głosy. Przed nim zaś płonęło siedem ognistych pochodni, przedstawiających siedem Bożych Duchów,
6 and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass like to crystal; and in the middle before the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.
i rozpościerało się morze, które wyglądało jak kryształ. Na środku tronu i wokół niego znajdowały się cztery istoty, które miały mnóstwo oczu—zarówno z przodu, jak i z tyłu.
7 And the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had the face of a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.
Pierwsza była podobna do lwa, druga—do byka, trzecia miała ludzką twarz, a czwarta przypominała lecącego orła.
8 And the four living creatures, having each of them six wings, around and within are full of eyes; and they have no rest day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.
Istoty te miały po sześć skrzydeł i mnóstwo oczu—na całym ciele. Bez wytchnienia, dniem i nocą, wołały one:
9 And when the living creatures give glory, and honor, and thanksgiving to him that sitteth on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn g165)
Podczas gdy istoty te otaczały chwałą, czcią oraz wdzięcznością Tego, który zasiada na tronie i żyje na wieki, (aiōn g165)
10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him that sitteth on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn g165)
dwudziestu czterech starszych padało przed Nim na twarz i oddawało Mu pokłon. Składali oni swoje wieńce przed tronem Tego, który żyje na wieki, i mówili: (aiōn g165)
11 Worthy art thou, O Lord, and our God, to receive the glory, and the honor, and the power; for thou didst create all things, and on account of thy will they were, and were created.
„Panie nasz, Boże, Tobie należy się chwała, cześć i moc. Ty bowiem stworzyłeś wszechświat i wszystko zaistniało z Twojej woli”.
