Revelation 2
1 To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks:
ESCRIBE al ángel de la iglesia de Efeso: El que tiene las siete estrellas en su diestra, el cual anda en medio de los siete candeleros de oro, dice estas cosas:
2 I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy endurance, and that thou canst not bear evil men; and thou didst try those who say they are apostles, and are not, and didst find them liars;
Yo sé tus obras, y tu trabajo, y paciencia; y que tú no puedes sufrir los malos, y has probado á los que se dicen ser apóstoles, y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos:
3 and thou hast endurance, and hast borne on account of my name, and hast not become weary.
Y has sufrido, y tienes paciencia, y has trabajado por mi nombre, y no has desfallecido.
4 But I have this against thee, that thou hast left thy first love.
Pero tengo contra tí que has dejado tu primer amor.
5 Remember therefore whence thou hast fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come to thee, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, unless thou repent.
Recuerda por tanto de donde has caido, y arrepiéntete, y haz las primeras obras; pues si no, vendré presto á tí, y quitaré tu candelero de su lugar, si no te hubieres arrepentido.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Mas tienes esto, que aborreces los hechos de los Nicolaítas, los cuales yo tambien aborrezco.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of my God.
El que tiene oido, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias: Al que venciere, daré á comer del árbol de la vida, el cual está en medio del paraiso de Dios.
8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and lived again:
Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia de Smirna: El primero y postrero que fué muerto, y vivió, dice estas cosas;
9 I know thy affliction and poverty, (but thou art rich, ) and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
Yo sé tus obras, y tu tribulacion, y tu pobreza, (pero tú eres rico, ) y la blasfemia de los que se dicen ser Judíos, y no lo son, mas [son] sinagoga de Satanás.
10 Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer. Behold, now, the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye will have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.
No tengas ningun temor de las cosas que has de padecer. Hé aquí, el diablo ha de enviar [algunos] de vosotros á la cárcel, para que seais probados, y tendréis tribulacion de diez dias. Sé fiel hasta la muerte, y yo te daré la corona de la vida.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. He that overcometh shall not be hurt by the second death.
El que tiene oido, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias: El que venciere, no recibirá daño de la muerte segunda.
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamus write: These things saith he that hath the sharp two-edged sword:
Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia [que está] en Pérgamo: El que tiene la espada aguda de dos filos, dice estas cosas:
13 I know where thou dwellest, where the throne of Satan is; and thou holdest fast my name, and didst not deny my faith, even in the days in which Antipas was my witness, my faithful one, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
Yo sé tus obras, y donde moras, donde [está] la silla de Satanás; y retienes mi nombre, y no has negado mi fé aun en los dias que fué Antipas mi testigo fiel, el cual ha sido muerto entre vosotros, donde Satanás mora.
14 But I have a few things against thee; thou hast there them that hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling-block in the way of the sons of Israel, and to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.
Pero tengo unas pocas cosas contra tí: porque tú tienes ahí los que tienen la doctrina de Balaam, el cual enseñaba á Balac á poner escándalo delante de los hijos de Israel, á comer de cosas sacrificadas á los ídolos, y á cometer fornicacion.
15 So thou also hast men holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans, in like manner.
Así tambien tu tienes á los que tienen la doctrina de los Nicolaítas, lo cual [yo] aborrezco.
16 Repent therefore; or else I will come to thee quickly, and will make war with them with the sword of my mouth.
Arrepiéntete; porque de otra manera vendré á tí presto, y pelearé contra ellos con la espada de mi boca.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh, I will give of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knoweth but he that receiveth it.
El que tiene odio, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias: Al que venciere daré á comer del maná escondido, y le daré una piedrecita blanca, y en la piedrecita un nombre nuevo escrito, el cual ninguno conoce sino aquel que [lo] recibe.
18 And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass:
Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia que está en Tiatira: El Hijo de Dios, que tiene sus ojos como llama de fuego, y sus piés semejantes al laton fino, dice estas cosas:
19 I know thy works, and love, and faith, and service, and thy endurance, and that thy last works are more than the first.
Yo he conocido tus obras, y caridad, y servicio, y fé, y tu paciencia, y tus obras postreras, [que son] mas que las primeras:
20 But I have this against thee, that thou sufferest thy wife Jezebel, who calleth herself a prophetess, and she teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
Mas tengo unas pocas cosas contra tí: porque permites aquella mujer Jezabel (que se dice profetisa) ensenar, y engañar á mis siervos, á fornicar, y á comer cosas ofrecidas á los ídolos.
21 And I gave her time to repent, and she will not repent of her fornication.
Y le he dado tiempo para que se arrepienta de la fornicacion, y no se ha arrepentido.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who together with her commit adultery into great distress, unless they repent of her deeds.
Hé aquí yo la echo en cama, y á los que adulteran con ella, en muy grande tribulacion, si no se arrepintieren de sus obras:
23 And her children I will slay with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give to every one of you according to your works.
Y mataré sus hijos con muerte; y todas las iglesias sabrán que yo soy el que escudriño los riñones, y los corazones: y daré á cada uno de vosotros segun sus obras.
24 But to you I say, the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as have not this teaching, such as have not known “the depths” of Satan, as they speak; I put upon you no other burden;
Pero yo digo á vosotros, y á los demás que estais en Tiatira: Cualesquiera que no tienen esta doctrina, y que no han conocido las profundidades de Satanás, (como dicen, ) yo no enviaré sobre vosotros otra carga.
25 but that which ye have, hold fast till I come.
Empero la que teneis, tenedla hasta que yo venga.
26 And he that overcometh, and he that keepeth my works to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, —
Y al que hubiere vencido, y hubiere guardado mis obras hasta el fin, yo le daré potestad^ sobre las gentes;
27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter are broken to shivers, —as I also have received of my Father.
Y las regirá con vara de hierro, y serán quebrantados como vaso de alfarero, como tambien yo [la] he recibido de mi Padre:
28 And I will give him the morning star.
Y le daré la estrella de la mañana.
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
El que tiene oido, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias.
