Psalms 1

1 “BOOK I” Happy the man who walketh not in the counsel of the unrighteous, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers;

౧దుర్మార్గుల సలహా ప్రకారం నడుచుకోనివాడు, పాపాత్ముల దారిలో నిలవనివాడు, అల్లరి మూకలతో కూర్చోని వాడు ధన్యుడు.

2 But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, And who meditateth on his precepts day and night.

౨అతడు యెహోవా ధర్మశాస్త్రంలో ఆనందిస్తాడు. అతడు రేయింబవళ్ళు దాన్ని ధ్యానం చేస్తూ ఉంటాడు.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaves also do not wither: All that he doeth shall prosper.

౩అతడు నీటికాలువల ఒడ్డున నాటి, ఆకు వాడకుండా తగిన కాలంలో ఫలించే చెట్టులాగా ఉంటాడు. అతడు ఏది చేసినా వర్ధిల్లుతాడు.

4 Not so the unrighteous; They are like chaff, which the wind driveth away.

౪దుర్మార్గులు అలా ఉండరు. వాళ్ళు గాలికి ఎగిరిపోయే ఊకలాగా ఉంటారు.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the just.

౫కాబట్టి తీర్పులో దుర్మార్గులు నిలవరు. అలానే నీతిమంతుల సభలో పాపులు నిలవరు.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked leadeth to ruin.

౬నీతిపరుల మార్గం యెహోవాకు ఆమోదం. దుర్మార్గుల మార్గం నాశనం.
