Psalms 1

1 “BOOK I” Happy the man who walketh not in the counsel of the unrighteous, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers;

Bienaventurado el varón, que no anduvo en consejo de malos, ni estuvo en camino de pecadores, ni se asentó en silla de burladores.

2 But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, And who meditateth on his precepts day and night.

Mas antes en la ley de Jehová es su voluntad: y en su ley meditará de día y de noche.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaves also do not wither: All that he doeth shall prosper.

Y será como el árbol plantado junto a arroyos de aguas, que da su fruto en su tiempo: y su hoja no se marchita, y todo lo que hace, prosperará.

4 Not so the unrighteous; They are like chaff, which the wind driveth away.

No así los malos: sino como el tamo, que lo lanza el viento.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the just.

Por tanto no se levantarán los malos en el juicio: ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked leadeth to ruin.

Porque Jehová conoce el camino de los justos: y el camino de los malos se perderá.
