Psalms 1

1 “BOOK I” Happy the man who walketh not in the counsel of the unrighteous, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers;

೧ಯಾರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆಯದೆ, ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ, ಧರ್ಮನಿಂದಕರೊಡನೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ,

2 But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, And who meditateth on his precepts day and night.

೨ಯೆಹೋವನ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಅದನ್ನೇ ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವವನು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಧನ್ಯನು.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaves also do not wither: All that he doeth shall prosper.

೩ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವ ಮರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನಿರುವನು. ಅಂಥ ಮರವು ಸೂಕ್ತಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಲಕೊಡುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ. ಅದರ ಎಲೆ ಬಾಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಂತೆ ಅವನ ಕಾರ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಫಲವಾಗುವುದು.

4 Not so the unrighteous; They are like chaff, which the wind driveth away.

೪ದುಷ್ಟರೋ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ; ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the just.

೫ಆದುದರಿಂದ ದುಷ್ಟರು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮರು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked leadeth to ruin.

೬ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಾರ್ಗವೋ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದು.
