Psalms 9
1 “For the leader of the music; to be sung in the manner or with the voice of maidens. To the Benites, or to Ben. A psalm of David.” I will praise thee, O LORD! with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.
Alabaré a Jehová con todo mi corazón: contaré todas tus maravillas.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High!
Alegrarme he, y gozarme he en ti: cantaré a tu nombre, o! Altísimo.
3 All my enemies are turned back; They fall and perish at thy presence.
Por haber sido mis enemigos vueltos atrás: caerán y perecerán delante de ti.
4 For thou dost defend my right and my cause; Thou sittest upon the throne, a righteous judge.
Porque has hecho mi juicio y mi causa: sentástete en trono juzgando justicia.
5 Thou rebukest the nations; Thou destroyest the wicked; Thou blottest out their name for evermore!
Reprendiste gentes, destruiste al malo, raíste el nombre de ellos para siempre y eternalmente.
6 The enemy is fallen, —a desolation for ever! Thou, O LORD! hast destroyed their cities; Their memory itself hath perished!
O! enemigo, acabados son los asolamientos para siempre: y las ciudades que derribaste, su memoria pereció con ellas.
7 The LORD reigneth for ever; He hath prepared his throne for judgment.
Y Jehová quedará para siempre, él ha aparejado para juicio su trono.
8 He judgeth the world in righteousness; He administereth judgment to the nations with uprightness.
Y él juzgará al mundo con justicia, juzgará a los pueblos con rectitud.
9 Yea, the LORD is a refuge for the oppressed; A refuge in times of trouble.
Y será Jehová refugio al pobre, refugio en tiempos de la angustia.
10 They who know thy name put their trust in thee; For thou, O LORD! forsakest not them that seek thee!
Y confiarán en ti los que saben tu nombre, por cuanto no desamparaste a los que te buscaron, o! Jehová.
11 Sing praises to the LORD, who reigneth in Zion; Declare his doings among the people!
Cantád a Jehová, el que habita en Sión: notificád en los pueblos sus obras.
12 As the avenger of blood, he remembereth the distressed; He forgetteth not their complaint.
Porque, demandando las sangres se acordó de ellos: no se olvidó del clamor de los pobres.
13 “Have pity upon me, [[said I, ]] O LORD! Look upon my affliction through them that hate me; Lift me up from the gates of death:
Ten misericordia de mí, Jehová: mira la aflicción que sufro de los que me aborrecen, ensalzador mío de las puertas de la muerte.
14 That I may show forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion; That I may rejoice in salvation by thee.”
Para que cuente yo todas tus alabanzas en las puertas de la hija de Sión: y me regocije en tu salud.
15 The nations have sunk into the pit which they made; In the net, which they hid, is their own foot taken.
Hundiéronse las gentes en el foso que hicieron: en la red que escondieron fue tomado su pie.
16 Thus it is known that the LORD executeth judgment; The wicked are ensnared in the work of their own hands. [[Stringed instruments. (Pause)
Jehová fue conocido en el juicio que hizo: en la obra de sus manos fue enlazado el malo: Consideración. (Selah)
17 The wicked shall be driven into the underworld; Yea, all the nations that forger God. (Sheol h7585)
Volverse han los malos al infierno: todas las gentes que se olvidan de Dios. (Sheol h7585)
18 For the poor shall not always be forgotten; The hopes of the afflicted shall not perish for ever.
Porque no para siempre será olvidado el necesitado: ni la esperanza de los pobres perecerá para siempre.
19 Arise, O LORD! Let not man prevail; Let the nations be judged by thee!
Levántate, o! Jehová, no se fortalezca el hombre: sean juzgadas las naciones delante de ti.
20 Strike terror into them, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men! (Pause)
Pon, o! Jehová, temor en ellos: conozcan las gentes que son hombres. (Selah)
