Psalms 84
1 “For the leader of the music. On the Gittith. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” How lovely are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
Przewodnikowi chóru, na Gittyt. Psalm dla synów Korego. O, jak miłe [są] twoje przybytki, PANIE zastępów!
2 My soul longeth, yea, fainteth, for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry aloud for the living God.
Moja dusza wzdycha i omdlewa z tęsknoty do przedsionków PANA; moje serce i ciało wołają radośnie do Boga żywego.
3 The very sparrow findeth an abode, And the swallow a nest, where they may lay their young, By thine altars, O LORD of hosts, My king and my God!
Oto nawet wróbel znalazł sobie dom i jaskółka gniazdo, gdzie składa swe pisklęta, u twoich ołtarzy, PANIE zastępów, mój Królu i mój Boże!
4 Happy they who dwell in thy house, Who are continually praising thee! (Pause)
Błogosławieni ci, którzy mieszkają w twoim domu, nieustannie będą cię chwalić. (Sela)
5 Happy the man whose glory is in thee, In whose heart are the ways [[to Jerusalem]]!
Błogosławiony człowiek, którego siła [jest] w tobie, w którego sercu są twoje drogi;
6 Passing through the valley of Baca, they make it a fountain; and the early rain covereth it with blessings.
Ci, którzy przechodząc przez dolinę Baka, zmieniają ją w źródło, a deszcz okrywa [ją] błogosławieństwem.
7 They go on from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.
I idą z mocy w moc, i ukażą się przed Bogiem na Syjonie.
8 Hear my prayer, O LORD, God of hosts! Give ear, O God of Jacob! (Pause)
O PANIE, Boże zastępów, wysłuchaj mojej modlitwy, nakłoń ucha, Boże Jakuba. (Sela)
9 Look down, O God! our shield, And behold the face of thine anointed!
Spójrz, Boże, nasza tarczo, i wejrzyj na oblicze twego pomazańca.
10 For a day spent in thy courts is better than a thousand: I would rather stand on the threshold of the house of my God, Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Lepszy bowiem jest jeden dzień w twoich przedsionkach niż tysiąc gdzie indziej; wolę raczej stać w progu domu mego Boga, niż mieszkać w namiotach niegodziwców.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; The LORD giveth grace and glory; No good thing doth he withhold From them that walk uprightly.
PAN Bóg bowiem jest słońcem i tarczą, PAN obdarza łaską i chwałą, nie odmawia dobra tym, którzy postępują nienagannie.
12 O LORD of hosts! Happy the man who trusteth in thee!
PANIE zastępów, błogosławiony człowiek, który ufa tobie.
