Psalms 56
1 “For the leader of the music. To be sung to the tune of “The dumb dove among strangers.” A psalm of David, when the Philistines took him in Gath.” Have pity upon me, O God! for man panteth for my life; My adversary daily oppresseth me!
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; રાગ યોનાથ-એલેમ રહોકીમ. દાઉદનું મિખ્તામ. ગાથમાં પલિસ્તીઓએ તેને પકડયો તે વખતનું. હે ઈશ્વર, તમે મારા પર દયા કરો, કેમ કે માણસ તો મને ગળી જાય છે; તે આખો દિવસ લડીને મારા પર જુલમ કરે છે.
2 Mine enemies daily pant for my life, And many are they who war proudly against me.
૨મારા શત્રુઓ તો આખો દિવસ મને ગળી જાય છે; કેમ કે જેઓ મારી સામે અહંકારથી લડે છે તેઓ ઘણા છે.
3 When I am in fear, I will put my trust in thee!
૩જ્યારે મને બીક લાગશે, ત્યારે હું તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખીશ.
4 Through God shall I praise his word; In God do I put my trust; I will not fear; What can flesh do to me?
૪હું ઈશ્વરની મદદથી તેમના વચનની પ્રશંસા કરીશ, ઈશ્વર પર મેં ભરોસો રાખ્યો છે; હું બીવાનો નથી; મનુષ્યમાત્ર મને શું કરનાર છે?
5 Every day they wrest my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.
૫તેઓ આખો દિવસ મારા શબ્દોનો અનર્થ કરે છે; તેઓના વિચારો મારું ખરાબ કરવાના છે.
6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they watch my steps, Lying in wait for my life.
૬તેઓ એકઠા થાય છે, તેઓ સંતાઈ રહે છે અને તેઓ મારાં પગલાંને ધ્યાનમાં રાખે છે, તેઓ મારો જીવ લેવાની રાહ જુએ છે.
7 Shall they escape by their iniquity? In thine anger cast down the people, O God!
૭તેઓની દુષ્ટતાથી તેમને બચાવશો નહિ. હે ઈશ્વર, તમારા ગુસ્સાથી લોકોને નીચે પાડી નાખો.
8 Count thou my wanderings; Put my tears into thy bottle! Are they not recorded in thy book?
૮તમે મારું ભટકવું જાણો છો અને મારાં આંસુઓ તમારી કુપ્પીમાં રાખો; શું તેઓ તમારા પુસ્તકમાં નોંધેલાં નથી?
9 When I cry to thee, my enemies shall turn back; This I know, that God is for me.
૯જે સમયે હું વિનંતી કરું, તે સમયે મારા શત્રુઓ પાછા ફરશે; હું જાણું છું કે ઈશ્વર મારા પક્ષમાં છે.
10 Through God shall I praise his word; I shall glory in the promise of Jehovah.
૧૦ઈશ્વરની મદદથી હું તેમનાં વચનની સ્તુતિ કરીશ, યહોવાહની મદદથી હું તેમનાં વચનની સ્તુતિ કરીશ.
11 In God do I put my trust; I will not fear: What can man do to me?
૧૧ઈશ્વર પર મેં ભરોસો રાખ્યો છે; હું બીવાનો નથી; માણસ મને શું કરનાર છે?
12 Thy vows are upon me, O God! I will render praises to thee!
૧૨હે ઈશ્વર, મેં તમારી સમક્ષ સંકલ્પો કરેલા છે; હું તમને આભારસ્તુતિનાં અર્પણ ચઢાવીશ.
13 For thou hast delivered me from death, Yea, my feet from falling, That I may walk before God in the light of the living.
૧૩કારણ કે તમે મારા આત્માને મરણથી બચાવ્યો છે; તમે મારા પગને લથડવાથી બચાવ્યા છે, કે જેથી હું ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ, જીવતાઓના અજવાળામાં ચાલું.
