Psalms 51
1 “For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after his intercourse with Bathsheba.” Be gracious unto me, O God! according to thy loving kindness; According to the greatness of thy mercy, blot out my transgressions!
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત; બાથશેબાની પાસે ગયા પછી તેની પાસે નાથાન પ્રબોધક આવ્યો, તે વખતનું. હે ઈશ્વર, તમારી કૃપા પ્રમાણે મારા પર દયા કરો; તમારી પુષ્કળ કૃપાથી મારા અપરાધો માફ કરો.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin!
૨મારા અપરાધથી મને પૂરો ધૂઓ અને મારા પાપોથી મને શુદ્ધ કરો.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me.
૩કેમ કે હું મારા અપરાધો જાણું છું અને મારું પાપ નિત્ય મારી આગળ છે.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, And in thy sight have I done evil; So that thou art just in thy sentence, And righteous in thy judgment.
૪તમારી, હા, તમારી જ વિરુદ્ધ મેં પાપ કર્યું છે અને જે તમારી દ્રષ્ટિમાં ખરાબ છે તે મેં કર્યું છે; તેથી જ્યારે તમે બોલો, ત્યારે તમે ન્યાયી ઠરો; અને તમે ન્યાય કરો, ત્યારે તમે નિર્દોષ ઠરો.
5 Behold! I was born in iniquity, And in sin did my mother conceive me.
૫જુઓ, હું અન્યાયીપણામાં જન્મ્યો હતો; મારી માતાએ પાપમાં મારો ગર્ભ ધારણ કર્યો હતો.
6 Behold! thou desirest truth in the heart; So teach me wisdom in my inmost soul!
૬તમે તમારા હૃદયમાં અંત: કરણની સત્યતા માગો છો; મારા હૃદયને તમે ડહાપણ શીખવશો.
7 Purge me with hyssop, until I be clean; Wash me, until I be whiter than snow!
૭ઝુફાથી મને ધોજો એટલે હું શુદ્ધ થઈશ; મને નવડાવો એટલે હું હિમ કરતાં સફેદ થઈશ.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, So that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice!
૮મને હર્ષ તથા આનંદ સંભળાવો એટલે જે હાડકાં તમે ભાંગ્યાં છે તેઓ આનંદ કરે.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities!
૯મારાં પાપ તરફ નજર ન કરો અને મારા સર્વ અન્યાય ક્ષમા કરો.
10 Create within me a clean heart, O God! Renew within me a steadfast spirit!
૧૦હે ઈશ્વર, મારામાં શુદ્ધ હૃદય ઉત્પન્ન કરો અને મારા આત્માને નવો અને દ્રઢ કરો.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence, And take not thy holy spirit from me!
૧૧મને તમારી સંમુખથી દૂર ન કરો અને તમારો પવિત્ર આત્મા મારી પાસેથી લઈ લેશો નહિ.
12 Restore to me the joy of thy protection, And strengthen me with a willing spirit!
૧૨તમારા ઉદ્ધારનો હર્ષ મને પાછો આપો અને ઉદાર આત્માએ કરીને મને નિભાવી રાખો.
13 Then will I teach thy ways to transgressors, And sinners shall be converted to thee.
૧૩ત્યારે હું ઉલ્લંઘન કરનારાઓને તમારા માર્ગ શીખવીશ અને પાપીઓ તમારા તરફ ફરશે.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of blood, O God, the God of my salvation! That my tongue may sing aloud of thy goodness!
૧૪હે ઈશ્વર, મારા ઉદ્ધારનાર, ખૂનના દોષથી મને માફ કરો અને હું મારી જીભે તમારા ન્યાયીપણા વિષે મોટેથી ગાઈશ.
15 O Lord! open thou my lips, That my mouth may show forth thy praise!
૧૫હે પ્રભુ, તમે મારા હોઠ ઉઘાડો એટલે મારું મુખ તમારી સ્તુતિ પ્રગટ કરશે.
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice, else would I give it; Thou delightest not in burnt-offerings.
૧૬કેમ કે તમે બલિદાનોથી રીઝતા નથી, નહિ તો હું તે અર્પણ કરત; તમે દહનીયાર્પણથી આનંદ પામતા નથી.
17 The sacrifice which God loveth is a broken spirit; A broken and contrite heart, O God! thou wilt not despise!
૧૭હે ઈશ્વર, મારો બલિદાનો તો રાંક મન છે; હે ઈશ્વર, તમે રાંક અને નમ્ર હૃદયને ધિક્કારશો નહિ.
18 Do good to Zion according to thy mercy; Build up the walls of Jerusalem!
૧૮તમે કૃપા કરીને સિયોનનું ભલું કરો; યરુશાલેમના કોટોને ફરી બાંધો.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with sacrifices of righteousness, With burnt-offerings and complete offerings; Then shall bullocks be offered upon thine altar.
૧૯પછી ન્યાયીપણાના બલિદાનોથી, દહનાર્પણ તથા સર્વ દહનીયાર્પણથી તમે આનંદ પામશો; પછી તેઓ તમારી વેદી પર બળદોનું અર્પણ કરશે.
