Psalms 5

1 “For the leader of the music; to be accompanied with wind instruments. A psalm of David.” Give ear to my words, O LORD; Have regard to my cry!

【虔誠的早禱】 達味詩歌，交與樂官，和以管樂。 上主，求你傾聽我的語言，上主，求你細聽我的悲歎!

2 Listen to the voice of my supplication, my King and my God! For to thee do I address my prayer.

我的君王，我的天主，請聽我祈禱的聲音！上主，我在向你哀懇，

3 In the morning shalt thou hear my voice, O LORD! In the morning will I address my prayer to thee, and look for help.

你一早便俯聽了我的呼聲；我清晨向你傾訴我的禱文，滿懷希望地靜候你的應允。

4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; The unrighteous man dwelleth not with thee.

你絕不是喜愛罪惡的天主，惡人決不能在你面前存留，

5 The haughty shall not stand in thy sight; Thou hatest all that do iniquity.

傲慢人也不能在你前站立。對作惡的人你也深惡厭棄，

6 Thou destroyest them that speak falsehood; The man of blood and deceit the LORD abhorreth.

說謊不實的人，你全予以消除；奸詐好殺的人，上主一律厭惡。

7 But I, through thy great goodness, will come to thy house; In thy fear will I worship at thy holy temple.

我得進入你的殿宇，專賴你豐厚的慈愛，滿懷敬愛你的心，向你的聖所肅然跪拜。

8 Lead me, O LORD! in thy righteousness, because of mine enemies; Make thy path straight before my face!

上主，為了我的仇雔敵人，求你常以正向導我遵循，在我面前鋪平你的路程。

9 For in their mouth there is no truth; Their heart is malignity; Their throat is an open sepulchre; They flatter with their tongue.

因為他們的口中毫無真誠，他們的內心全是虛偽滿盈；他們的咽喉是敞開的墳塋，他們的舌頭只顧美語逄迎。

10 Requite them, O God! Let them be confounded in their devices; Cast them out for the multitude of their transgressions; For against thee have they rebelled!

天主，願你懲罰他們，使他們的詭計落空！為他們的罪過，請驅逐他們，因為他們直接對你叛逆不忠。

11 But let all, that put their trust in thee, rejoice; Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them; Let them, that love thy name, be joyful in thee!

但願投奔你的人，興高彩烈，永遠歡愉；願愛慕你名的人，歡樂於你，蒙你護祐!

12 For thou, O LORD! dost bless the righteous; With favor dost thou encompass him, as with a shield.

上主，你原來只向義人祝福。你的仁愛如盾牌，把他掩護。
