Psalms 49
1 “For the leader of the music. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” Hear this, all ye nations; Give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world;
ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ କୋରହ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଗୀତ। ହେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀସକଳ, ଏହା ଶୁଣ, ହେ ଜଗନ୍ନିବାସୀଗଣ,
2 Both high and low, rich and poor alike!
ନୀଚ ଓ ଉଚ୍ଚ, ଧନୀ ଓ ଦରିଦ୍ର ସମସ୍ତେ, ଏକତ୍ର କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର।
3 My mouth shall speak wisdom, And the meditation of my mind shall be understanding.
ମୋହର ମୁଖ ଜ୍ଞାନର କଥା କହିବ ଓ ମୋʼ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣର ଧ୍ୟାନ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ବିଷୟକ ହେବ।
4 I will incline mine ear to a poem; I will utter my song upon the harp.
ମୁଁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କରିବି; ମୁଁ ବୀଣା ଯନ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଆପଣା ଗୁପ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ବ୍ୟାଖ୍ୟା କରିବି।
5 Why should I fear in the days of adversity, When the iniquity of my adversaries encompasseth me;
ଯେତେବେଳେ ଅଧର୍ମ ମୋʼ ଗୋଇଠି ପାଖରେ ମୋତେ ଘେରେ, ଏପରି ବିପଦ ସମୟରେ କାହିଁକି ଭୟ କରିବି?
6 They who trust in their riches, And glory in the greatness of their wealth?
ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିରେ ନିର୍ଭର ରଖନ୍ତି; ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଧନର ବାହୁଲ୍ୟରେ ଦର୍ପ କରନ୍ତି;
7 No one can redeem his brother from death, Nor give a ransom for him to God,
ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ନିତ୍ୟଜୀବୀ ହେବା ପାଇଁ, କ୍ଷୟ ନ ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ କୌଣସିମତେ ତାହାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ନ ପାରେ।
8 That he should live to eternity, And not see the pit.
କିଅବା ତାହା ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ ଦେଇ ନ ପାରେ;
9 Too costly is the redemption of his life, And he giveth it up for ever.
କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣର ମୁକ୍ତି ଦୁର୍ମୂଲ୍ୟ ଓ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ଅସାଧ୍ୟ।
10 For he seeth that wise men die, As well as the foolish and the ignorant; They perish alike, And leave their wealth to others.
ଯେଣୁ ସେ ଦେଖେ ଯେ, ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ମରନ୍ତି, ମୂର୍ଖ ଓ ପଶୁବତ୍ ଲୋକେ ଏକତ୍ର ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଛାଡ଼ିଯାʼନ୍ତି।
11 They imagine that their houses will endure for ever, And their dwelling-places from generation to generation: Men celebrate their names on the earth.
ସେମାନଙ୍କ କବର ସ୍ଥାନ ଯେ ଚିରକାଳ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ଯେ ପୁରୁଷାନୁକ୍ରମେ ରହିବ, ଏହା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଆନ୍ତରିକ ବିଚାର; ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ନାମାନୁସାରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଭୂମିର ନାମ ରଖନ୍ତି।
12 Yet man, who is in honor, abideth not; He is like the beasts that perish.
ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ଥିର ରହେ ନାହିଁ; ସେ ବିନାଶ୍ୟ ପଶୁ ତୁଲ୍ୟ।
13 Such is the way which is their confidence! And they who come after them approve their maxims. (Pause)
ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଏହି ଗତି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମୂର୍ଖତା ଅଟେ; ତଥାପି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ପସନ୍ଦ କରନ୍ତି। (ସେଲା)
14 Like sheep they are cast into the underworld; Death shall feed upon them; And the upright shall soon trample upon them. Their form shall be consumed in the underworld, And they shall no more have a dwelling-place. (Sheol h7585)
ସେମାନେ ମେଷପଲ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ପାତାଳ ପାଇଁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ; ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପାଳକ ହେବ; ଆଉ, ସରଳ ଲୋକେ ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରିବେ; ଆଉ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶୋଭା ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ପାତାଳର ହେବ ଓ ତହିଁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଉ ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ନ ଥିବ। (Sheol h7585)
15 But God will redeem my life from the underworld; Yea, he will take me under his care. (Pause) (Sheol h7585)
ମାତ୍ର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ପାତାଳର ପରାକ୍ରମରୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରାଣ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବେ; କାରଣ ସେ ମୋତେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବେ। (ସେଲା) (Sheol h7585)
16 Be not thou afraid, when one becometh rich; When the glory of his house is increased!
କେହି ଧନବାନ ହେଲେ ଓ ତାହାର ଗୃହର ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ଯ୍ୟ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭୀତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ;
17 For, when he dieth, he will carry nothing away; His glory will not descend after him.
କାରଣ ମରଣକାଳରେ ସେ କିଛି ନେଇଯିବ ନାହିଁ; ତାହାର ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ଯ୍ୟ ତାହାର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
18 Though in his life he thought himself happy, —Though men praised thee, while thou wast in prosperity, —
ଯଦ୍ୟପି ସେ ଜୀବଦ୍ଦଶାରେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣର ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ କଲା, ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାର ଭଲ କଲେ, ଲୋକେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରନ୍ତି;
19 Yet shalt thou go to the dwelling-place of thy fathers, Who never more shall see the light!
ତଥାପି ସେ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ନିକଟକୁ ଯିବ; ସେମାନେ କଦାପି ଦୀପ୍ତି ଦେଖିବେ ନାହିଁ।
20 The man who is in honor, but without understanding, Is like the beasts that perish.
ଯେଉଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଐଶ୍ୱର୍ଯ୍ୟଶାଳୀ ହୋଇ ବିବେଚନା ନ କରେ, ସେ ବିନାଶ୍ୟ ପଶୁ ତୁଲ୍ୟ।
