Psalms 43

1 Judge me, O God! and defend my cause against a merciless nation! Deliver me from unjust and deceitful men!

Суди мене, Боже, і вступися за мене в суперечці моїй із невірним народом, від людини підступної й беззаконної визволи мене.

2 Thou art the God of my refuge: why dost thou cast me off? Why go I mourning on account of the oppression of the enemy?

Адже Ти – Бог, твердиня моя. Чому Ти відкинув мене? Чому я ходжу понуро, пригнічений ворогом?

3 O send forth thy light and thy truth; let them guide me; Let them lead me to thy holy mountain, and to thy dwelling-place!

Пошли Твоє світло й істину – нехай вони керують мною, нехай приведуть мене на гору святині Твоєї, до місця, де Ти мешкаєш.

4 Then will I go to the altar of God, To the God of my joy and exultation; Yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God!

Тоді я підійду до жертовника Божого, до Бога, Який [дарує] мені радість і втіху. І я прославлю Тебе [грою] на арфі, о Боже, Боже мій!

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him, Him, my deliverer and my God!

Чому ти сумуєш, душе моя, і чому журишся в мені? Сподівайся на Бога, адже я ще прославлятиму Його – Спасителя мого й Бога мого.
