Psalms 36
1 “For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, the servant of the Lord.” To speak of the ungodliness of the wicked is in my heart. He hath no fear of God before his eyes.
शरीर की बदी से मेरे दिल में ख़याल आता है, कि ख़ुदा का ख़ौफ़ उसके सामने नहीं।
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, Till his iniquity is found out and hated.
क्यूँकि वह अपने आपको अपनी नज़र में इस ख़याल से तसल्ली देता है, कि उसकी बदी न तो फ़ाश होगी, न मकरूह समझी जाएगी।
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; He neglecteth to be wise and to do good.
उसके मुँह में बदी और फ़रेब की बातें हैं; वह 'अक़्ल और नेकी से दस्तबरदार हो गया है।
4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; He persevereth in an evil way; He abhorreth not sin.
वह अपने बिस्तर पर बदी के मन्सूबे बाँधता है; वह ऐसी राह इख़्तियार करता है जो अच्छी नहीं; वह बुराई से नफ़रत नहीं करता।
5 Thy goodness, O LORD! reacheth to the heavens, And thy faithfulness to the clouds;
ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, आसमान में तेरी शफ़क़त है, तेरी वफ़ादारी फ़लाक तक बुलन्द है।
6 Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; Thy judgments are a great deep; Thou, O LORD! preservest man and beast!
तेरी सदाक़त ख़ुदा के पहाड़ों की तरह है, तेरे अहकाम बहुत गहरे हैं; ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, तू इंसान और हैवान दोनों को महफ़ूज़ रखता है।
7 How precious is thy loving-kindness, O God! Yea, the sons of men seek refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
ऐ ख़ुदा, तेरी शफ़क़त क्या ही बेशक़ीमत है! बनी आदम तेरे बाज़ुओं के साये में पनाह लेते हैं।
8 They are satisfied with the abundance of thy house, And thou causest them to drink of the full stream of thy pleasures.
वह तेरे घर की ने'मतों से ख़ूब आसूदा होंगे, तू उनको अपनी ख़ुशनूदी के दरिया में से पिलाएगा।
9 For with thee is the fountain of life; Through thy light we see light.
क्यूँकि ज़िन्दगी का चश्मा तेरे पास है; तेरे नूर की बदौलत हम रोशनी देखेंगे।
10 O continue thy loving-kindness to them that know thee, And thy favor to the upright in heart!
तेरे पहचानने वालों पर तेरी शफ़क़त हमेशा की हो, और रास्त दिलों पर तेरी सदाकत!
11 Let not the foot of the proud come upon me, Nor the hand of the wicked remove me!
मग़रूर आदमी मुझ पर लात न उठाने पाए, और शरीर का हाथ मुझे हाँक न दे।
12 Lo! already are the workers of iniquity fallen; They are cast down; they are unable to rise!
बदकिरदार वहाँ गिरे पड़े हैं; वह गिरा दिए गए हैं और फिर उठ न सकेंगे।
