< Psalms 36 >

1 “For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, the servant of the Lord.” To speak of the ungodliness of the wicked is in my heart. He hath no fear of God before his eyes.
সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। সদাপ্রভুর দাস দাউদের গীত। দুষ্টদের অপরাধ সম্পর্কে আমার হৃদয়ে এক প্রত্যাদেশ আছে: তাদের চোখে ঈশ্বরভয় নেই।
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, Till his iniquity is found out and hated.
তারা নিজেদের দৃষ্টিতে নিজেদের তোষামোদ করে, ভাবে যে তাদের অপরাধ ধরা পড়বে না বা নিন্দিত হবে না।
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit; He neglecteth to be wise and to do good.
তাদের মুখের কথা দুষ্টতা ও ছলনায় ভরা, তারা জ্ঞান ও সদাচরণ ত্যাগ করেছে।
4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; He persevereth in an evil way; He abhorreth not sin.
এমনকি তাদের বিছানায় শুয়েও তারা মন্দ পরিকল্পনা করে, অসৎ পথে তারা নিজেদের চালনা করে এবং যা মন্দ তা পরিত্যাগ করে না।
5 Thy goodness, O LORD! reacheth to the heavens, And thy faithfulness to the clouds;
হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার প্রেম গগনচুম্বী, তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা গগনস্পর্শী।
6 Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; Thy judgments are a great deep; Thou, O LORD! preservest man and beast!
তোমার ধার্মিকতা মহান পর্বতের তুল্য, তোমার ন্যায়বিচার অতল জলধির মতো। তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, মানুষ ও পশুকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখো।
7 How precious is thy loving-kindness, O God! Yea, the sons of men seek refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
হে ঈশ্বর, তোমার অবিচল প্রেম কত অমূল্য! মানুষ তোমার পক্ষছায়ায় আশ্রয় নেয়।
8 They are satisfied with the abundance of thy house, And thou causest them to drink of the full stream of thy pleasures.
তোমার গৃহের প্রাচুর্যে তারা পরিতৃপ্ত হয়, তোমার আনন্দ-নদীর জল তুমি তাদের পান করিয়ে থাকো।
9 For with thee is the fountain of life; Through thy light we see light.
কারণ তোমাতেই আছে জীবনের উৎস, তোমার আলোতে আমরা আলো দেখি।
10 O continue thy loving-kindness to them that know thee, And thy favor to the upright in heart!
যারা তোমাকে জানে, তাদের প্রতি তোমার প্রেম, এবং ন্যায়পরায়ণদের প্রতি তোমার ধর্মশীলতা, স্থায়ী করো।
11 Let not the foot of the proud come upon me, Nor the hand of the wicked remove me!
অহংকারীর চরণ যেন আমার বিরুদ্ধে না আসে, দুষ্টদের হাত যেন আমাকে বিতাড়িত না করে।
12 Lo! already are the workers of iniquity fallen; They are cast down; they are unable to rise!
দেখো, অনিষ্টকারীদের দল লুটিয়ে পড়েছে ভূমিতে পতিত হয়েছে, তাদের উঠে দাঁড়ানোর শক্তি নেই।
