< Psalms 3 >
1 “A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.” How many, O LORD, are mine enemies! How many are they who rise up against me!
Zabbuli ya Dawudi bwe yadduka mutabani we Abusaalomu. Ayi Mukama, abalabe bange nga beeyongedde obungi! Abanfubutukiddeko okunnumba nga bangi!
2 How many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him with God”! (Pause)
Bangi abanjogerako nti, “Katonda tagenda kumununula.”
3 But thou, O LORD! art my shield, My glory, and the lifter-up of my head.
Naye ggwe, Ayi Mukama, ggwe ngabo yange enkuuma; ggwe kitiibwa kyange, era gw’onzizaamu amaanyi.
4 I call upon the LORD with my voice, And he heareth me from his holy hill. (Pause)
Nkoowoola Mukama n’eddoboozi ery’omwanguka, n’annyanukula ng’asinziira ku lusozi lwe olutukuvu.
5 I lay me down and sleep; I awake, for the LORD sustaineth me.
Ngalamira ne neebaka, era ne nzuukuka bulungi, kubanga Mukama ye ampanirira.
6 I will not fear the ten thousands of people Who on every side set themselves against me.
Siityenga enkumi n’enkumi z’abalabe bange abanneetoolodde, okunnumba.
7 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For thou smitest the cheek of all my enemies; Thou breakest the teeth of the wicked.
Golokoka, Ayi Mukama, ondokole Ayi Katonda wange okube abalabe bange bonna omenye oluba lw’abakola ebibi.
8 Deliverance cometh from the LORD: May thy blessing be with thy people! (Pause)
Obulokozi buva gy’oli, Ayi Mukama. Emikisa gyo gibeerenga ku bantu bo.
