Psalms 29

1 “A psalm of David.” Give to Jehovah, O ye sons of God! Give to Jehovah glory and praise!

Псалом Давидів. Віддайте Господеві, о сини Божі, віддайте Господеві славу й могутність!

2 Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name; Worship Jehovah in holy attire!

Віддайте імені Господа славу, вклоніться Господеві в Його величному святилищі.

3 The voice of Jehovah is heard above the waters; The God of glory thundereth, -Jehovah above the great waters.

Голос Господа – над водами; Бог слави гримить, Господь – над водами могутніми.

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful; The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty;

Голос Господа сильний; Голос Господа величний.

5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; Yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon;

Голос Господа ламає кедри, Господь ламає кедри Лівану.

6 Yea, he maketh them to leap like a calf, —Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

Він змушує їх танцювати, як телят, а [гори] Ліван та Сиріон – немов молодого дикого бика.

7 The voice of Jehovah divideth the flames of fire.

Голос Господа викрешує язики полум’я.

8 The voice of Jehovah maketh the wilderness tremble; Yea, Jehovah maketh the wilderness of Kadesh tremble.

Голос Господа змушує тремтіти пустелю, Господь потрясає пустелю Кадеш.

9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds bring forth, And layeth bare the forests; While, in his palace, every one declareth his glory.

Голос Господа гне дуби й оголює ліси, а в Храмі Його всі вигукують: «Слава!»

10 Jehovah sitteth above the flood; Yea, Jehovah sitteth king for ever.

Господь сидів над [водами] потопу; Господь як Цар сидітиме навіки!

11 Jehovah will give strength to his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

Господь дає міць Своєму народові; Господь благословляє народ Свій миром.
