Psalms 29

1 “A psalm of David.” Give to Jehovah, O ye sons of God! Give to Jehovah glory and praise!

൧ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. സ്വര്‍ഗീയ ദൂതന്മാരെ, യഹോവയ്ക്ക് കൊടുക്കുവിൻ, യഹോവയ്ക്ക് മഹത്ത്വവും ശക്തിയും കൊടുക്കുവിൻ.

2 Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name; Worship Jehovah in holy attire!

൨യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അവിടുത്തെ നാമത്തിന് യോഗ്യമായ മഹത്ത്വം കൊടുക്കുവിൻ; വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യത്തോടെ യഹോവയെ ആരാധിക്കുവിൻ.

3 The voice of Jehovah is heard above the waters; The God of glory thundereth, -Jehovah above the great waters.

൩യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം സമുദ്രത്തിൻമീതെ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു; പെരുവെള്ളത്തിൻമീതെ യഹോവ, മഹത്ത്വത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നെ, ഇടിമുഴക്കുന്നു.

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful; The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty;

൪യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം ശക്തിയോടെ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം മഹിമയോടെ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു.

5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; Yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon;

൫യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം ദേവദാരുക്കളെ തകർക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുക്കളെ പിളർക്കുന്നു.

6 Yea, he maketh them to leap like a calf, —Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

൬അവൻ അവയെ കാളക്കുട്ടിയെപ്പോലെയും ലെബാനോനെയും സിര്യോനെയും കാട്ടുപോത്തിൻ കുട്ടിയെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളിക്കുന്നു.

7 The voice of Jehovah divideth the flames of fire.

൭യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം അഗ്നിജ്വാലകളെ ചിന്നിക്കുന്നു.

8 The voice of Jehovah maketh the wilderness tremble; Yea, Jehovah maketh the wilderness of Kadesh tremble.

൮യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം മരുഭൂമിയെ നടുക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ കാദേശ് മരുഭൂമിയെ നടുക്കുന്നു.

9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds bring forth, And layeth bare the forests; While, in his palace, every one declareth his glory.

൯യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ദം ഒക്ക് മരങ്ങളെ കുലുക്കുന്നു; അത് വനങ്ങളെ തോലുരിക്കുന്നു; കർത്താവിന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ സകലരും “മഹത്ത്വം” എന്ന് ചൊല്ലുന്നു.

10 Jehovah sitteth above the flood; Yea, Jehovah sitteth king for ever.

൧൦യഹോവ ജലപ്രളയത്തിനു മീതെ ഇരുന്നു; യഹോവ എന്നേക്കും രാജാവായി ഭരിക്കുന്നു.

11 Jehovah will give strength to his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

൧൧യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന് ശക്തി നല്കും; യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ സമാധാനം നല്കി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.
