Psalms 29

1 “A psalm of David.” Give to Jehovah, O ye sons of God! Give to Jehovah glory and praise!

מזמור לדוד הבו ליהוה בני אלים הבו ליהוה כבוד ועז׃

2 Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name; Worship Jehovah in holy attire!

הבו ליהוה כבוד שמו השתחוו ליהוה בהדרת קדש׃

3 The voice of Jehovah is heard above the waters; The God of glory thundereth, -Jehovah above the great waters.

קול יהוה על המים אל הכבוד הרעים יהוה על מים רבים׃

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful; The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty;

קול יהוה בכח קול יהוה בהדר׃

5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars; Yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon;

קול יהוה שבר ארזים וישבר יהוה את ארזי הלבנון׃

6 Yea, he maketh them to leap like a calf, —Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

וירקידם כמו עגל לבנון ושרין כמו בן ראמים׃

7 The voice of Jehovah divideth the flames of fire.

קול יהוה חצב להבות אש׃

8 The voice of Jehovah maketh the wilderness tremble; Yea, Jehovah maketh the wilderness of Kadesh tremble.

קול יהוה יחיל מדבר יחיל יהוה מדבר קדש׃

9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds bring forth, And layeth bare the forests; While, in his palace, every one declareth his glory.

קול יהוה יחולל אילות ויחשף יערות ובהיכלו כלו אמר כבוד׃

10 Jehovah sitteth above the flood; Yea, Jehovah sitteth king for ever.

יהוה למבול ישב וישב יהוה מלך לעולם׃

11 Jehovah will give strength to his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

יהוה עז לעמו יתן יהוה יברך את עמו בשלום׃
