Psalms 27

1 “A psalm of David.” The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the shield of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Un Salmo de David. ¡El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación! ¿Quién podrá asustarme? ¡El Señor es la fortaleza de mi vida! ¿De quién he de sentirme aterrorizado?

2 When the wicked came upon me to devour me, Even my persecutors and enemies, they stumbled and fell.

Cuando la gente mala viene a mí para destrozarme, cuando vienen mis enemigos, aquellos que están en contra mía, son ellos los que tropiezan y caen.

3 Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; Though war should rise against me, yet will I be confident.

Incluso si un ejército me rodeara, no tendré miedo. Incluso si soy atacado, seguiré confiando en Dios.

4 One thing have I desired of the LORD; that do I yet seek; That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the grace of the LORD, And to gaze upon his temple.

Solo le pido al Señor una cosa: quiero vivir en la casa del Señor toda mi vida, contemplando la bondad del Señor y pensando en su sano Templo.

5 For in the day of trouble he will hide me in his pavilion; Yea, in the secret place of his tabernacle will he shelter me; He will set me upon a rock.

Cuando los problemas vengan él me protegerá y me mantendrá a salvo, me esconderá en su casa, tan seguro como si me hubiera puesto en una gran roca.

6 Yea, already doth he lift my head above my enemies, who are around me; Therefore in his tabernacle will I offer sacrifices with the sound of trumpets; I will sing, yea, with instruments of music I will give praise to the LORD.

Sostendrá mi cabeza en alto sobre mis enemigos que me rodean. Ofreceré sacrificio en su casa con cantos de alegría, y cantaré alabanzas al Señor.

7 Hear my voice, O LORD! when I cry unto thee; Have pity upon me, and answer me!

Escúchame, Señor, cuando llamo pidiendo ayuda. Ten gracia conmigo y respóndeme.

8 When I think of thy precept, “Seek ye my face!” Thy face, LORD, do I seek.

Tú me dijiste, “Ven a mí”. Y estoy viniendo a ti, Señor.

9 O hide not thou thy face from me; Cast not thy servant away in displeasure! Thou hast been my help, do not leave me; Do not forsake me, O God, my helper!

No te rehúses a hablar conmigo. No te enojes con tu siervo ni te vayas. Eres el único que me ayuda, así que por favor no me niegues ni me abandones, Dios de mi salvación.

10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me; But the LORD will take me up.

Si mi padre y mi madre me abandonaran, el Señor me cuidará.

11 Teach me thy way, O LORD! And lead me in the right path, because of my enemies!

Señor, Enséñame tu camino y guíame por el camino correcto, porque mis enemigos están contra mí.

12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries! For false witnesses have risen up against me, And such as breathe out injustice.

No me dejes solo ante ellos y sus malas intenciones, porque ellos están levantando falsas acusaciones contra mí y me tratan con violencia.

13 I trust that I shall see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Hope thou in the LORD!

Sin embargo, estoy completamente seguro que veré la bondad del Señor, incluso en esta vida.

14 Be of good courage; let thy heart be strong; Hope thou in the LORD!

¡Confía en el Señor! Confía, ¡Él te dará fuerza! ¡Confía en el Señor!
