Psalms 24

1 “A psalm of David.” The earth is the LORD'S, and all that is therein; The world, and they who inhabit it.

Do Senhor é a terra e a sua plenitude, o mundo e aquelles que n'elle habitam.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.

Porque elle a fundou sobre os mares, e a firmou sobre os rios.

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place?

Quem subirá ao monte do Senhor, ou quem estará no seu logar sancto?

4 He that hath clean hands and a pure heart; Who hath not inclined his soul to falsehood, Nor sworn deceitfully.

Aquelle que é limpo de mãos e puro de coração, que não entrega a sua alma á vaidade, nem jura enganosamente,

5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, And favor from the God of his salvation.

Este receberá a benção do Senhor e a justiça do Deus da sua salvação.

6 This is the race of them that seek him; They that seek thy face are Jacob. (Pause)

Esta é a geração d'aquelles que buscam, d'aquelles que buscam a tua face, ó Deus de Jacob (Selah)

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates! Lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, That the king of glory may come in!

Levantae, ó portas, as vossas cabeças; levantae-vos ó entradas eternas, e entrará o Rei da Gloria.

8 “Who is this king of glory?” Jehovah, strong and mighty; Jehovah, mighty in battle.

Quem é este Rei da Gloria? O Senhor forte e poderoso, o Senhor poderoso na guerra.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates! Lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, That the king of glory may enter in!

Levantae, ó portas, as vossas cabeças, levantae-vos ó entradas eternas, e entrará o Rei da Gloria.

10 “Who is this king of glory?” Jehovah, God of hosts, he is the king of glory. (Pause)

Quem é este Rei da Gloria? O Senhor dos Exercitos, elle é o Rei da Gloria (Selah)
