Psalms 24

1 “A psalm of David.” The earth is the LORD'S, and all that is therein; The world, and they who inhabit it.

Psalm Dawida. Do PANA należy ziemia i wszystko, co ją napełnia, świat i jego mieszkańcy.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.

Na morzach bowiem ugruntował go i utwierdził na rzekach.

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place?

Któż wstąpi na górę PANA? Kto stanie w jego świętym miejscu?

4 He that hath clean hands and a pure heart; Who hath not inclined his soul to falsehood, Nor sworn deceitfully.

[Człowiek] rąk nieskalanych i czystego serca, który nie skłania swej duszy ku marności i nie przysięga podstępnie.

5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, And favor from the God of his salvation.

On otrzyma błogosławieństwo od PANA i sprawiedliwość od Boga, swego Zbawiciela.

6 This is the race of them that seek him; They that seek thy face are Jacob. (Pause)

To jest pokolenie tych, którzy go szukają, którzy szukają twego oblicza, [Boże] Jakuba. (Sela)

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates! Lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, That the king of glory may come in!

8 “Who is this king of glory?” Jehovah, strong and mighty; Jehovah, mighty in battle.

Któż jest tym Królem chwały? PAN mocny i potężny, PAN potężny w boju.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates! Lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, That the king of glory may enter in!

Podnieście, o bramy, wasze głowy; podnieście się, wrota odwieczne, aby wszedł Król chwały.

10 “Who is this king of glory?” Jehovah, God of hosts, he is the king of glory. (Pause)

Któż jest tym Królem chwały? PAN zastępów, on [jest] Królem chwały. (Sela)
