Psalms 131

1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up. Of David.” O LORD! my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; I employ not myself on great things, or things too wonderful for me!

Cantique de Mahaloth, de David. Ô Éternel! mon cœur ne s'est point élevé, et mes yeux ne se sont point haussés, et je n'ai point marché en des choses grandes et merveilleuses au-dessus de ma portée.

2 Yea, I have stilled and quieted my soul As a weaned child upon his mother; My soul within me is like a weaned child.

N'ai-je point soumis et fait taire mon cœur, comme celui qui est sevré fait envers sa mère; mon cœur est en moi, comme celui qui est sevré.

3 O Israel! trust in the LORD, Henceforth even for ever!

Israël attends-toi à l'Eternel dès maintenant et à toujours.
