Psalms 131

1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up. Of David.” O LORD! my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; I employ not myself on great things, or things too wonderful for me!

Herre! mit Hjerte er ikke hovmodigt, og mine Øjne ere ikke stolte, og jeg vandrer ikke i store Ting eller i dem, som ere mig for underlige.

2 Yea, I have stilled and quieted my soul As a weaned child upon his mother; My soul within me is like a weaned child.

Har jeg ikke tysset og beroliget min Sjæl; som et afvant Barn hos sin Moder, ja, som det afvante Barn er min Sjæl inden i mig.

3 O Israel! trust in the LORD, Henceforth even for ever!

Israel! haab paa Herren, fra nu og indtil evig Tid!
