< Psalms 127 >
1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up. By Solomon.” Except the LORD build the house, The builders labor in vain; Except the LORD guard the city, The watchman waketh in vain.
Yon chan pou monte vè tanp lan. Yon chan Salomon. Amwenske se SENYÈ a ki bati kay la, (sila) ki bati li yo, travay anven. Amwenske SENYÈ a veye pòtay la, gadyen an rete zye louvri anven.
2 In vain ye rise up early, and go to rest late, And eat the bread of care! The same giveth he his beloved one in sleep.
Se an ven pou ou leve bonè e ale dòmi ta, pou manje pen a travay di yo, paske se domi Li bay a moun li renmen.
3 Behold! sons are an inheritance from the LORD, And the fruit of the womb is his gift.
Veye byen, pitit se yon don SENYÈ a. Fwi a vant la se yon rekonpans.
4 As arrows in the hand of the warrior, So are the sons of young men:
Tankou flèch nan men a yon gèrye, Se konsa pitit a jèn yo ye.
5 Happy the man that hath his quiver full of them! They shall not be put to shame, When they speak with adversaries in the gate.
A la beni se nonm ke veso l plen ak yo. Yo p ap wont lè yo pale ak lènmi yo nan pòtay la.
