Psalms 125

1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” They who trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, which standeth for ever.

Nyanyian ziarah. Orang-orang yang percaya kepada TUHAN adalah seperti gunung Sion yang tidak goyang, yang tetap untuk selama-lamanya.

2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So the LORD is round about his people, Henceforth even for ever!

Yerusalem, gunung-gunung sekelilingnya; demikianlah TUHAN sekeliling umat-Nya, dari sekarang sampai selama-lamanya.

3 For the sceptre of the wicked shall not remain upon the portion of the righteous, Lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.

Tongkat kerajaan orang fasik tidak akan tinggal tetap di atas tanah yang diundikan kepada orang-orang benar, supaya orang-orang benar tidak mengulurkan tangannya kepada kejahatan.

4 Do good, O LORD! to the good, To them that are upright in heart!

Lakukanlah kebaikan, ya TUHAN, kepada orang-orang baik dan kepada orang-orang yang tulus hati;

5 But such as turn aside to their crooked ways, -May the LORD destroy them with the evil-doers! Peace be to Israel!

tetapi orang-orang yang menyimpang ke jalan yang berbelit-belit, kiranya TUHAN mengenyahkan mereka bersama-sama orang-orang yang melakukan kejahatan. Damai sejahtera atas Israel!
