Psalms 121

1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” I lift up mine eyes to the hills: Whence cometh my help?

Svoje oči bom povzdignil h goram, od koder prihaja moja pomoč.

2 My help cometh from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

Moja pomoč prihaja od Gospoda, ki je naredil nebo in zemljo.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to stumble; Thy guardian doth not slumber.

Ne bo trpel, da bi bilo tvoje stopalo premaknjeno. On, ki te varuje, ne bo dremal.

4 Behold, the guardian of Israel Doth neither slumber nor sleep.

Glej, kdor varuje Izraela, ne bo niti dremal niti spal.

5 The LORD is thy guardian; The LORD is thy shade at thy right hand.

Gospod je tvoj čuvaj; Gospod je tvoja senca na tvoji desnici.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night.

Sonce te ne bo udarilo podnevi niti luna ponoči.

7 The LORD will preserve thee from all evil; He will preserve thy life.

Gospod te bo varoval pred vsem zlom; varoval bo tvojo dušo.

8 The LORD will preserve thee, when thou goest out and when thou comest in, From this time forth for ever.

Gospod bo ohranil tvoje odhajanje in tvoje prihajanje od tega časa dalje in na vékomaj.
