< Psalms 118 >

1 O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his kindness endureth for ever!
Dad gracias a Yahvé, porque es bueno, porque su bondad es eterna.
2 Let Israel now say, His kindness endureth for ever!
Que Israel diga ahora que su amorosa bondad perdura para siempre.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, His goodness endureth for ever!
Que la casa de Aarón diga ahora que su amorosa bondad perdura para siempre.
4 Let all who fear the LORD say, His kindness endureth for ever!
Ahora bien, los que temen a Yahvé digan que su amorosa bondad perdura para siempre.
5 I called upon the LORD in distress; He heard, and set me in a wide place.
Desde mi angustia, invoqué a Yah. Yah me respondió con libertad.
6 The LORD is on my side, I will not fear: What can man do to me?
El Señor está de mi lado. No tendré miedo. ¿Qué puede hacerme el hombre?
7 The LORD is my helper; I shall see my desire upon my enemies.
Yahvé está de mi lado entre los que me ayudan. Por eso miraré con triunfo a los que me odian.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man;
Es mejor refugiarse en Yahvé, que poner la confianza en el hombre.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.
Es mejor refugiarse en Yahvé, que poner la confianza en los príncipes.
10 All the nations beset me around, But in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.
Todas las naciones me rodearon, pero en nombre de Yahvé los corté.
11 They beset me on every side; But in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.
Me rodearon, sí, me rodearon. En nombre de Yahvé los he cortado.
12 They beset me around like bees; They were quenched like the fire of thorns, For in the name of the LORD I destroyed them.
Me rodearon como abejas. Se apagan como las espinas ardientes. En nombre de Yahvé los corté.
13 Thou didst assail me with violence to bring me down! But the LORD was my support.
Me empujaste con fuerza, para hacerme caer, pero Yahvé me ayudó.
14 The LORD is my glory and my song; For to him I owe my salvation.
Yah es mi fuerza y mi canción. Se ha convertido en mi salvación.
15 The voice of joy and salvation is in the habitations of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly;
La voz de la alegría y la salvación está en las tiendas de los justos. “La mano derecha de Yahvé actúa con valentía.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted; The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.”
¡La diestra de Yahvé es exaltada! La mano derecha de Yahvé actúa con valentía”.
17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the deeds of the LORD.
No moriré, sino que viviré, y declarar las obras de Yah.
18 The LORD hath sorely chastened me, But he hath not given me over to death.
Yah me ha castigado severamente, pero no me ha entregado a la muerte.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness, That I may go in, and praise the LORD!
Ábreme las puertas de la justicia. Entraré en ellos. Daré gracias a Yah.
20 This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous enter.
Esta es la puerta de Yahvé; los justos entrarán en ella.
21 I praise thee that thou hast heard me, And hast been my salvation.
Te daré gracias, porque me has respondido, y se han convertido en mi salvación.
22 “The stone which the builders rejected Hath become the chief corner-stone.
La piedra que desecharon los constructores se ha convertido en la piedra angular.
23 This is the LORD'S doing; It is marvellous in our eyes!
Esto es obra de Yahvé. Es maravilloso a nuestros ojos.
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Este es el día que Yahvé ha hecho. Nos regocijaremos y nos alegraremos por ello.
25 Hear, O LORD! and bless us! Hear, O LORD! and send us prosperity!”
¡Sálvanos ahora, te lo rogamos, Yahvé! Yahvé, te rogamos que envíes prosperidad ahora.
26 “Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD! We bless you from the house of the LORD.”
¡Bienaventurado el que viene en nombre de Yahvé! Te hemos bendecido desde la casa de Yahvé.
27 “Jehovah is God, he hath shone upon us: Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar!”
Yahvé es Dios y nos ha dado luz. Atad el sacrificio con cuerdas, hasta los cuernos del altar.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee; Thou art my God, and I will exalt thee!
Tú eres mi Dios y te daré gracias. Tú eres mi Dios, yo te exaltaré.
29 O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his kindness endureth for ever!
Ohdad gracias a Yahvé, porque es bueno, porque su bondad es eterna.
