Psalms 112

1 Praise ye the LORD! Happy the man who feareth the LORD, Who taketh delight in his commandments!

সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো। ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি, যে সদাপ্রভুকে সম্ভ্রম করে, যে তাঁর আজ্ঞা পালনে মহা আনন্দ পায়।

2 His posterity shall be mighty on the earth; The race of the righteous shall be blessed.

তাদের সন্তানসন্ততিরা এ জগতে শক্তিশালী হবে, ন্যায়পরায়ণদের প্রজন্ম ধন্য হবে।

3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house; His righteousness shall endure for ever.

ধনসম্পদ ও ঐশ্বর্য তার গৃহে আছে, এবং তার ধার্মিকতা চিরস্থায়ী হয়।

4 To the righteous shall arise light out of darkness; He is gracious and full of compassion and righteousness.

ন্যায়পরায়ণের জন্য অন্ধকারের মাঝে আলো উদয় হয়, সে কৃপাময়, স্নেহশীল ও ধার্মিক।

5 Happy the man who hath pity and lendeth! He shall sustain his cause in judgment;

যে উদার ও মুক্তহস্তে দান করে, তার মঙ্গল হবে, সে নিজের বিষয়গুলি ন্যায়ের সঙ্গে নিষ্পত্তি করে।

6 Yea, he shall never be moved: The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

নিশ্চয় সে কখনও বিচলিত হবে না; কিন্তু ধার্মিককে চিরকাল মনে রাখা হবে।

7 He is not afraid of evil tidings; His heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.

অশুভ সংবাদে সে ভয় করবে না; তার হৃদয় অবিচল, তা সদাপ্রভুতে আস্থা রাখে।

8 His heart is firm; he hath no fear, Till he see his desire upon his enemies.

তার হৃদয় সুস্থির, সে ভয় করবে না; অবশেষে সে বিজয়ীর মতো তার শত্রুদের দিকে তাকাবে।

9 He hath scattered blessings; he hath given to the poor; His righteousness shall endure for ever; His horn shall be exalted with honor.

সে অবাধে দরিদ্রদের মাঝে দান বিতরণ করেছে, তার ধার্মিকতা চিরস্থায়ী; তার শিং গৌরবে উন্নত হবে।

10 The wicked shall see, and be grieved; He shall gnash his teeth, and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.

দুষ্টলোক এসব দেখবে আর উত্ত্যক্ত হবে, সে ক্রোধে দন্তঘর্ষণ করবে আর নিঃশেষ হবে; দুষ্টদের আকাঙ্ক্ষা বিনষ্ট হবে।
