Psalms 107
1 “BOOK V.” O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!
૧યહોવાહનો આભાર માનો, કારણ કે તે ઉત્તમ છે અને તેમની કૃપા સર્વકાળ ટકે છે.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say it, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
૨જેઓ યહોવાહના છોડાવેલા છે તેઓએ આ પ્રમાણે બોલવું, એટલે જેઓને તેમણે શત્રુઓના હાથમાંથી છોડાવ્યા તેઓએ.
3 Whom he hath gathered from the lands, From the east, the west, the north, and the south.
૩તેમણે તેઓને દેશવિદેશથી એટલે પૂર્વથી તથા પશ્ચિમથી, ઉત્તરથી તથા દક્ષિણથી એકત્ર કર્યા.
4 They were wandering in the wilderness, in a desert, They found no way to a city to dwell in.
૪અરણ્યમાં તેઓ ઉજ્જડ માર્ગે ભટક્યા અને તેઓને રહેવા માટે કોઈ નગર મળ્યું નહિ.
5 They were hungry and thirsty, And their souls fainted within them.
૫તેઓ ભૂખ્યા અને તરસ્યા હતા; તેઓના પ્રાણ આકુળવ્યાકુળ થઈ ગયા.
6 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distress.
૬પછી તેઓએ પોતાના સંકટમાં યહોવાહને પોકાર્યાં અને તેમણે તેઓને દુઃખમાંથી છોડાવ્યા.
7 He led them in a straight way, Till they came to a city where they might dwell.
૭તેમણે તેઓને સીધે માર્ગે દોર્યા કે જેથી તેઓ વસવાલાયક નગરમાં જાય અને ત્યાં વસવાટ કરે.
8 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!
૮તેમની કૃપા તથા માનવજાત માટેનાં તેમનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કૃત્યો ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને લોકો યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરે, તો કેવું સારું!
9 For he satisfieth the thirsty, And the hungry he filleth with good.
૯કારણ કે તે તરસ્યાઓને સંતોષ પમાડે છે અને ભૂખ્યાઓને ઉત્તમ વાનાંથી તૃપ્ત કરે છે.
10 They dwelt in darkness and the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron;
૧૦કેટલાક અંધકાર તથા મરણછાયામાં બેઠેલા હતા, આપત્તિમાં તથા બેડીઓમાં સપડાયેલા હતા.
11 Because they disobeyed the commands of God, And contemned the will of the Most High;
૧૧કેમ કે તેઓએ ઈશ્વરની વિરુદ્ધ બળવો કર્યા, પરાત્પર ઈશ્વરની સૂચનાઓનો ઇનકાર કર્યો.
12 Their hearts he brought down by hardship; They fell down, and there was none to help.
૧૨તેઓનાં હૃદયો તેમણે કષ્ટથી નમ્ર કર્યાં; તેઓ લથડી પડ્યા અને તેઓને સહાય કરનાર કોઈ ન હતું.
13 But they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses;
૧૩પછી તેઓએ પોતાના સંકટમાં યહોવાહને પોકાર્યા અને તેમણે તેઓને દુઃખમાંથી ઉગાર્યા.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bands asunder.
૧૪તે તેઓને અંધકાર અને મરણછાયામાંથી બહાર લાવ્યા અને તેમણે તેઓનાં બંધન તોડી નાખ્યાં.
15 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!
૧૫તેમની કૃપા તથા માનવજાત માટેના તેમનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કૃત્યો ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને લોકો યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરે તો કેવું સારું!
16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron asunder.
૧૬કેમ કે તેમણે પિત્તળના દરવાજા ભાંગી નાખ્યા અને તેઓની લોખંડની ભૂંગળો તોડી નાખી.
17 The foolish, because of their transgressions, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted;
૧૭તેઓ પોતાના બળવાખોર માર્ગોમાં મૂર્ખ હતા તથા પોતાના પાપથી સંકટમાં આવી પડ્યા.
18 They abhorred all kinds of food; They were near to the gates of death.
૧૮તેઓના જીવો સર્વ પ્રકારના ખોરાકથી કંટાળી જાય છે અને તેઓ મરણ દ્વાર સુધી આવી પહોંચે છે.
19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses;
૧૯પછી તેઓ પોતાના સંકટમાં યહોવાહને પોકારે છે અને તે તેઓને દુઃખમાંથી ઉગારે છે.
20 He sent his word, and healed them, And saved them from their destruction.
૨૦તેઓ પોતાનું વચન મોકલીને તેઓને સાજા કરે છે અને તેમણે તેઓને દુર્દશામાંથી છોડાવ્યા છે.
21 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!
૨૧આ તેમની કૃપા તથા માનવજાત માટેનાં તેમનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કૃત્યો ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને માણસો યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરે તો કેવું સારું!
22 Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with joy!
૨૨તેઓને આભારસ્તુતિનાં અર્પણો ચઢાવવા દો અને તેઓનાં કામ ગીતોથી પ્રગટ કરે.
23 They who go down to the sea in ships, And do business in great waters,
૨૩જેઓ વહાણમાં બેસીને સમુદ્રમાં ઊતરે છે અને સમુદ્રપાર વ્યાપાર કરે છે.
24 These see the works of the LORD, And his wonders in the deep.
૨૪તેઓ યહોવાહનાં કાર્યો તથા સમુદ્ર પરનાં તેમનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કૃત્યો જુએ છે.
25 He commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth high the waves.
૨૫કેમ કે તે આજ્ઞા આપે છે અને તોફાની પવનો ચડી આવે છે; તેથી સમુદ્રના મોજાંઓ ઊંચાં ઊછળે છે.
26 They mount up to the heavens, They sink down to the depths, Their soul melteth with distress;
૨૬મોજાં આકાશ સુધી ચઢે છે, પછી પાછા ઊંડાણમાં ઊતરે છે. તેઓના પ્રાણ ત્રાસથી આકુળવ્યાકુળ થાય છે.
27 They reel and stagger like a drunken man, And all their skill is vain.
૨૭તેઓ પીધેલાની જેમ આમતેમ ડોલતા લથડે છે અને તેઓની બુદ્ધિ બહેર મારી જાય છે.
28 Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses;
૨૮પછી તેઓ પોતાના સંકટમાં યહોવાહને પોકારે છે અને તે તેઓને દુઃખમાંથી છોડાવે છે.
29 He turneth the storm into a calm, And the waves are hushed;
૨૯તેમણે તોફાનને શાંત કર્યાં અને મોજાં શાંત થયાં.
30 Then they rejoice that they are still, And he bringeth them to their desired haven.
૩૦પછી શાંતિ થવાથી તેઓને આનંદ થાય છે અને તેઓને તેમની પસંદગીના બંદરે દોરી જાય છે.
31 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness. For his wonderful works to the children of men!
૩૧આ તેમની કૃપા તથા માનવજાતને માટેનાં તેમનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કૃત્યો ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને માણસો યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરે તો કેવું સારું!
32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, And praise him in the assembly of the elders!
૩૨લોકોની સભામાં તેમને મોટા મનાવો અને વડીલોની સભામાં તેમની સ્તુતિ કરો.
33 He turneth rivers into a desert, And springs of water into dry ground;
૩૩તે નદીઓને સ્થાને અરણ્ય, પાણીના ઝરાઓને સ્થાને કોરી ભૂમિ,
34 A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
૩૪અને ત્યાં રહેતા લોકોની દુષ્ટતાને કારણે ફળદ્રુપ ભૂમિને ખારવાળી જમીન બનાવે છે.
35 He turneth the desert into a lake of water, And dry ground into springs of water;
૩૫તે અરણ્યને સ્થાને સરોવર અને કોરી ભૂમિને સ્થાને ઝરાઓ કરી નાખે છે.
36 And there he causeth the hungry to dwell, And they build a city for a dwelling-place,
૩૬તેમાં તે ભૂખ્યાજનોને વસાવે છે અને તેઓ પોતાને રહેવાને માટે નગર બાંધે છે.
37 And sow fields and plant vineyards, Which yield a fruitful increase.
૩૭તેઓ ખેતરમાં વાવેતર કરે છે; અને દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓમાં રોપણી કરીને તેનાં ફળની ઊપજ મેળવે છે.
38 He blesseth them, so that they multiply greatly, And suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
૩૮તે તેઓને આશીર્વાદ આપે છે, તેથી તેમની પુષ્કળ વૃદ્ધિ થાય છે. તે તેઓનાં જાનવરોને ઓછા થવા દેતા નથી.
39 When they are diminished and brought low By oppression, affliction, and sorrow,
૩૯તેઓના જુલમ, વિપત્તિ તથા શોક પાછા ઘટાડવામાં આવે છે અને તેઓને નીચા પાડવામાં આવે છે.
40 He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in a pathless wilderness;
૪૦તે શત્રુઓના સરદારો પર અપમાન લાવે છે અને માર્ગ વિનાના અરણ્યમાં તેઓને રખડાવે છે.
41 But he raiseth the poor from their affliction, And increaseth their families like a flock.
૪૧પણ તે જરૂરિયાતમંદોને સંકટમાંથી છોડાવીને તેઓનું રક્ષણ કરે છે અને ટોળાંની જેમ તેઓના કુટુંબની સંભાળ લે છે.
42 The righteous see it and rejoice, And all iniquity shutteth her mouth.
૪૨તે જોઈને ન્યાયીઓ આનંદ પામશે અને સઘળા અન્યાયીઓનાં મુખ બંધ થશે.
43 Whoso is wise, let him observe this, And have regard to the loving-kindness of the LORD!
૪૩જે કોઈ જ્ઞાની હશે તે આ વાતો ધ્યાનમાં લેશે અને યહોવાહની કૃપા વિષે મનન કરશે.
