Psalms 107

1 “BOOK V.” O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!

١ ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ لأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، وَرَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.

2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say it, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

٢ لِيَقُلْ هَذَا مَفْدِيُّو الرَّبِّ، الَّذِينَ افْتَدَاهُمْ مِنْ يَدِ ظَالِمِهِمْ.

3 Whom he hath gathered from the lands, From the east, the west, the north, and the south.

٣ لَمَّ شَتَاتَهُمْ مِنَ الْبُلْدَانِ: مِنَ الشَّرْقِ وَالْغَرْبِ، مِنَ الشِّمَالِ وَالْجَنُوبِ.

4 They were wandering in the wilderness, in a desert, They found no way to a city to dwell in.

٤ تَاهُوا فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، فِي صَحْرَاءَ بِلَا طَرِيقٍ، وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا مَدِينَةً يَسْكُنُونَ فِيهَا.

5 They were hungry and thirsty, And their souls fainted within them.

٥ جَاعُوا وَعَطِشُوا حَتَّى خَارَتْ نُفُوسُهُمْ فِي دَاخِلِهِمْ.

6 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distress.

٦ فَاسْتَغَاثُوا بِالرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَأَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ مَصَائِبِهِمْ.

7 He led them in a straight way, Till they came to a city where they might dwell.

٧ وَهَدَاهُمْ طَرِيقاً مُسْتَقِيماً لِيَتَوَجَّهُوا إِلَى مَدِينَةٍ لِلسَّكَنِ.

8 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!

٨ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَلَى عَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

9 For he satisfieth the thirsty, And the hungry he filleth with good.

٩ لأَنَّهُ أَشْبَعَ النَّفْسَ الْمُتَلَهِّفَةَ وَمَلأَ النَّفْسَ الْجَائِعَةَ خَيْراً.

10 They dwelt in darkness and the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron;

١٠ كَانُوا جَالِسِينَ كَالأَسْرَى فِي الظَّلامِ وَظِلالِ الْمَوْتِ، مُوْثَقِينَ بِالذُّلِّ وَالْحَدِيدِ،

11 Because they disobeyed the commands of God, And contemned the will of the Most High;

١١ لأَنَّهُمْ تَمَرَّدُوا عَلَى كَلامِ اللهِ، وَاسْتَهَانُوا بِمَشُورَةِ الْعَلِيِّ.

12 Their hearts he brought down by hardship; They fell down, and there was none to help.

١٢ فَأَذَلَّ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِالْجَهْدِ الْمُضْنِي. تَعَثَّرُوا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ مُعِينٍ.

13 But they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses;

١٣ ثُمَّ اسْتَغَاثُوا بِالرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ فَأَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ مَصَائِبِهِمْ.

14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bands asunder.

١٤ أَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنَ الظَّلامِ وَظِلالِ الْمَوْتِ وَحَطَّمَ قُيُودَهُمْ.

15 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!

١٥ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ، وَعَلَى عَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron asunder.

١٦ لأَنَّهُ كَسَّرَ أَبْوَابَ النُّحَاسِ، وَقَطَّعَ عَوَارِضَ الْحَدِيدِ.

17 The foolish, because of their transgressions, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted;

١٧ سَفِهُوا فِي جَهْلِهِمْ وَسَقِمُوا مِنْ جَرَّاءِ آثَامِهِمْ.

18 They abhorred all kinds of food; They were near to the gates of death.

١٨ عَافَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ كُلَّ طَعَامٍ، فَصَارُوا عَلَى شَفَا الْمَوْتِ.

19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses;

١٩ ثُمَّ اسْتَغَاثُوا بِالرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَأَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ مَصَائِبِهِمْ.

20 He sent his word, and healed them, And saved them from their destruction.

٢٠ أَصْدَرَ أَمْرَهُ فَشَفَاهُمْ، وَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ مَهَالِكِهِمْ.

21 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness, For his wonderful works to the children of men!

٢١ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ، وَعَلَى عَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

22 Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with joy!

٢٢ وَلْيُقَرِّبُوا لَهُ ذَبَائِحَ الشُّكْرِ، وَيُحَدِّثُوا بِأَعْمَالِهِ بِتَرَانِيمِ الْفَرَحِ.

23 They who go down to the sea in ships, And do business in great waters,

٢٣ رَكِبَ بَعْضُهُمُ الْبِحَارَ فِي السُّفُنِ التِّجَارِيَّةِ، لِيَكْسَبُوا رِزْقَهُمْ،

24 These see the works of the LORD, And his wonders in the deep.

٢٤ وَرَأَوْا أَعْمَالَ الرَّبِّ وَعَجَائِبَهُ فِي عُمْقِ الْمِيَاهِ.

25 He commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth high the waves.

٢٥ فَإِنَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ أَثَارَ رِيحاً عَاصِفَةً فَأَهَاجَتْ أَمْوَاجَ الْبَحْرِ

26 They mount up to the heavens, They sink down to the depths, Their soul melteth with distress;

٢٦ فَارْتَفَعَتِ السُّفُنُ إِلَى الأَعَالِي، ثُمَّ هَبَطَتْ إِلَى الأَعْمَاقِ، حَتَّى ذَابَتْ نُفُوسُهُمْ مِنَ الْفَزَعِ.

27 They reel and stagger like a drunken man, And all their skill is vain.

٢٧ تَمَايَلُوا وَتَرَنَّحُوا مِثْلَ السَّكْرَانِ، وَأَعْيَتْهُمُ الْحِيلَةُ.

28 Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses;

٢٨ ثُمَّ اسْتَغَاثُوا بِالرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَأَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ مَصَائِبِهِمْ.

29 He turneth the storm into a calm, And the waves are hushed;

٢٩ هَدَّأَ الْعَاصِفَةَ الشَّدِيدَةَ، وَسَكَّنَ الأَمْوَاجَ.

30 Then they rejoice that they are still, And he bringeth them to their desired haven.

٣٠ فَفَرِحُوا بِهُدُوئِهَا، ثُمَّ اقْتَادَهُمْ إِلَى الْمَرْفَأ الْمَنْشُودِ.

31 O let them praise the LORD for his goodness. For his wonderful works to the children of men!

٣١ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ، وَعَلَى عَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ.

32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, And praise him in the assembly of the elders!

٣٢ وَلْيُعَظِّمُوهُ فِي مَحْفَلِ الشَّعْبِ، وَلْيُسَبِّحُوهُ فِي اجْتِمَاعِ الشُّيُوخِ.

33 He turneth rivers into a desert, And springs of water into dry ground;

٣٣ إِنَّهُ يُحَوِّلُ الأَنْهَارَ إِلَى قِفَارٍ، وَيَنَابِيعَ الْمَاءِ إِلَى أَرْضٍ عَطْشَى.

34 A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

٣٤ يَجْعَلُ الْحُقُولَ الْخَصِيبَةَ أَرْضاً مَلِحَةً جَرْدَاءَ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ شَرِّ سُكَّانِهَا.

35 He turneth the desert into a lake of water, And dry ground into springs of water;

٣٥ يُحَوِّلُ الْبَرِّيَّةَ إِلَى وَاحَةٍ، وَالأَرْضَ الْقَاحِلَةَ يَنَابِيعَ مِيَاهٍ.

36 And there he causeth the hungry to dwell, And they build a city for a dwelling-place,

٣٦ يُسْكِنُ هُنَاكَ الْجِيَاعَ فَيُنْشِئُونَ مَدِينَةً آهِلَةً.

37 And sow fields and plant vineyards, Which yield a fruitful increase.

٣٧ وَيَزْرَعُونَ حُقُولاً وَيَغْرِسُونَ كُرُوماً تُنْتِجُ لَهُمْ غِلَالاً وَفِيرَةً.

38 He blesseth them, so that they multiply greatly, And suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

٣٨ وَيُبَارِكُهُمْ أَيْضاً فَيَتَكَاثَرُونَ جِدّاً، وَلَا يَدَعُ مَوَاشِيَهُمْ تَتَنَاقَصُ.

39 When they are diminished and brought low By oppression, affliction, and sorrow,

٣٩ عِنْدَمَا يَقِلُّ الشَّعْبُ وَيَذِلُّ بِفِعْلِ الضِّيقِ وَالْبَلايَا وَالأَحْزَانِ،

40 He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in a pathless wilderness;

٤٠ يَصُبُّ اللهُ الْهَوَانَ عَلَى الرُّؤَسَاءِ، وَيُضِلُّهُمْ فِي أَرْضِ تِيهٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا طَرِيقٌ.

41 But he raiseth the poor from their affliction, And increaseth their families like a flock.

٤١ لَكِنَّهُ يُنْقِذُ الْمُحْتَاجِينَ مِنَ الْبُؤْسِ، وَيُكَثِّرُ عَشَائِرَهُمْ مِثْلَ قُطْعَانِ الْغَنَمِ.

42 The righteous see it and rejoice, And all iniquity shutteth her mouth.

٤٢ يَرَى الْمُسْتَقِيمُونَ هَذَا وَيَفْرَحُونَ، أَمَّا الأَثَمَةُ فَيَخْرَسُونَ.

43 Whoso is wise, let him observe this, And have regard to the loving-kindness of the LORD!

٤٣ فَلْيَتَأَمَّلْ كُلُّ حَكِيمٍ فِي هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ، وَيُمْعِنِ النَّظَرَ فِي مَرَاحِمِ الرَّبِّ.
