Psalms 106

1 Praise ye the LORD! O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!

౧యెహోవాను స్తుతించండి. యెహోవా దయాళుడు. ఆయన నిబంధన విశ్వాస్యత నిరంతరం ఉంటుంది.

2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise?

౨యెహోవా పరాక్రమ కార్యాలను వర్ణించగలవాడెవడు? ఆయన కీర్తి అంతటినీ ఎవడు ప్రకటించగలడు?

3 Happy are they who have regard to justice, Who practise righteousness at all times!

౩న్యాయం అనుసరించేవారు, ఎల్లవేళలా నీతిననుసరించి నడుచుకునేవారు ధన్యులు.

4 Remember me, O LORD! with the favor promised to thy people; O visit me with thy salvation!

౪యెహోవా, నీవు ఏర్పరచుకున్నవారి క్షేమం నేను చూస్తూ నీ ప్రజలకు కలిగే సంతోషాన్ని బట్టి నేను సంతోషిస్తూ,

5 That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, That I may rejoice in the joy of thy people, That I may glory with thine inheritance!

౫నీ వారసత్వ ప్రజతో కలిసి కొనియాడేలా నీ ప్రజల పట్ల నీకున్న దయ చొప్పున నన్ను జ్ఞాపకానికి తెచ్చుకో. నాకు దర్శనమిచ్చి నన్ను రక్షించు.

6 We have sinned with our fathers; We have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.

౬మా పితరుల్లాగానే మేము పాపం చేశాము. దోషాలు మూటగట్టుకుని భక్తిహీనులమైపోయాము.

7 Our fathers in Egypt did not regard thy wonders; They remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; But rebelled at the sea, the Red sea.

౭ఈజిప్టులో మా పూర్వీకులు నీ అద్భుతాలను గ్రహించలేదు. నీ కృపాబాహుళ్యం జ్ఞాపకం తెచ్చుకోలేదు. సముద్రం దగ్గర, ఎర్రసముద్రం దగ్గర వారు తిరుగు బాటు చేశారు.

8 Yet he saved them for his own name's sake. That he might make his mighty power to be known.

౮అయినా తన మహా పరాక్రమాన్ని ప్రసిద్ధి చేయడానికి ఆయన తన నామాన్నిబట్టి వారిని రక్షించాడు.

9 He rebuked the Red sea, and it was dried up, And he led them through the deep as through a desert.

౯ఆయన ఎర్రసముద్రాన్ని గద్దించగా అది ఆరిపోయింది. మైదానం మీద నడిచినట్టు ఆయన వారిని అగాధజలాల్లో నడిపించాడు.

10 He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

౧౦పగవారి చేతిలోనుండి వారిని రక్షించాడు. శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి వారిని విమోచించాడు.

11 The waters covered their enemies; There was not one of them left.

౧౧నీళ్లు వారి శత్రువులను ముంచివేశాయి. వారిలో ఒక్కడైనా మిగల్లేదు.

12 Then believed they his words, And sang his praise.

౧౨అప్పుడు వారు ఆయన మాటలు నమ్మారు. ఆయన కీర్తిని గానం చేశారు.

13 But they soon forgot his deeds, And waited not for his counsel.

౧౩అయినా వారు ఆయన కార్యాలను వెంటనే మర్చిపోయారు. ఆయన ఆలోచన కోసం కనిపెట్టుకోలేదు.

14 They gave way to appetite in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert;

౧౪అరణ్యంలో వారు ఎంతో ఆశించారు. ఎడారిలో దేవుణ్ణి పరీక్షించారు.

15 And he gave them their request, But sent upon them leanness.

౧౫వారు కోరినది ఆయన వారికి ఇచ్చాడు. అయినా వారి ప్రాణాలకు ఆయన క్షీణత కలగజేశాడు.

16 They also envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.

౧౬వారు తమ శిబిరంలో మోషేపైనా యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితుడు అహరోనుపైనా అసూయపడ్డారు.

17 Then the earth opened, and swallowed up Dathan, And covered the company of Abiram,

౧౭భూమి నెర్రె విచ్చి దాతానును మింగేసింది. అది అబీరాము బృందాన్ని కప్పేసింది.

18 And a fire was kindled in their company; The flames burned up the wicked.

౧౮వారి మధ్యలో అగ్ని రగులుకుంది. దాని మంట భక్తిహీనులను కాల్చివేసింది.

19 They made a calf in Horeb, And worshipped a molten image;

౧౯హోరేబులో వారు దూడను చేయించుకున్నారు. పోత పోసిన విగ్రహానికి మొక్కారు.

20 They changed their God of glory Into the image of a grass-eating ox.

౨౦తమ దేవుని మహిమను వారు గడ్డి మేసే ఎద్దు రూపానికి మార్చివేశారు.

21 They forgot God, their saviour, Who had done such great things in Egypt,

౨౧ఈజిప్టులో గొప్ప కార్యాలను, హాము దేశంలో ఆశ్చర్యకార్యాలను

22 Such wonders in the land of Ham. Such terrible things at the Red sea.

౨౨ఎర్రసముద్రం దగ్గర భయం గొలిపే క్రియలను చేసిన తమ రక్షకుడైన దేవుణ్ణి మర్చిపోయారు.

23 Then he said that he would destroy them; Had not Moses, his chosen, stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, that he might not destroy them.

౨౩అప్పుడు ఆయన “నేను వారిని నశింపజేస్తాను” అన్నాడు. అయితే ఆయన వారిని నశింపజేయకుండేలా ఆయన కోపం చల్లార్చడానికి ఆయన ఏర్పరచుకున్న మోషే ఆయన సన్నిధిలో నిలిచి అడ్డుపడ్డాడు.

24 They also despised the pleasant land, And believed not his word;

౨౪రమ్యమైన దేశాన్ని వారు నిరాకరించారు. ఆయన మాట నమ్మలేదు.

25 But murmured in their tents, And would not hearken to the voice of the LORD.

౨౫యెహోవా మాట వినకుండా వారు తమ గుడారాల్లో సణుగుకున్నారు.

26 Then he lifted up his hand against them, And swore that he would make them fall in the wilderness;

౨౬అప్పుడు అరణ్యంలో వారు కూలిపోయేలా చేయడానికి,

27 That he would overthrow their descendants among the nations, And scatter them in the lands.

౨౭అన్యజనులలో వారి సంతానాన్ని కూల్చడానికి, దేశంలో వారిని చెదరగొట్టడానికి ఆయన వారిపై చెయ్యి ఎత్తాడు.

28 They also gave themselves to the worship of Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to lifeless idols.

౨౮వారు బయల్పెయోరును హత్తుకుని, చచ్చిన వారికి అర్పించిన బలిమాంసాన్ని భుజించారు.

29 Thus they provoked his anger by their practices, And a plague broke in upon them.

౨౯వారు తమ క్రియలచేత ఆయనకు కోపం పుట్టించగా వారిలో తెగులు చెలరేగింది.

30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment, And the plague was stayed.

౩౦ఫీనెహాసు లేచి పరిహారం చేయగా ఆ తెగులు ఆగిపోయింది.

31 And this was counted to him for righteousness, To all generations for ever.

౩౧నిత్యం తరాలన్నిటిలో అతనికి ఆ పని నీతిగా ఎంచబడింది.

32 They provoked him also at the waters of Meribah [[strife]], And evil befell Moses on their account.

౩౨మెరీబా జలాల దగ్గర వారు ఆయనకు కోపం పుట్టించారు. కాబట్టి వారి మూలంగా మోషేకు బాధ కలిగింది.

33 For they provoked his spirit, So that he spake inconsiderately with his lips.

౩౩ఎలాగంటే వారు అతనికి విరక్తి పుట్టించారు. ఫలితంగా అతడు తొందరపడి మాట్లాడాడు.

34 They did not destroy the nations, As Jehovah had commanded them.

౩౪యెహోవా వారికి ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్టు వారు అన్యజాతులను నాశనం చేయలేదు.

35 They mingled themselves with the peoples, And learned their practices.

౩౫అన్యజనులతో సహవాసం చేసి వారి క్రియలు నేర్చుకున్నారు.

36 They even worshipped their idols, Which became to them a snare.

౩౬వారి విగ్రహాలకు పూజ చేశారు. అవి వారికి ఉరి అయినాయి.

37 Their sons and their daughters they sacrificed to demons,

౩౭వారు తమ కొడుకులను, తమ కూతుళ్ళను దయ్యాలకు బలిగా అర్పించారు.

38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their own sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.

౩౮నిర్దోష రక్తం, అంటే తమ కొడుకుల రక్తం తమ కూతుళ్ళల రక్తం ఒలికించారు. కనాను జాతి వారి బొమ్మలకు వారిని బలిగా అర్పించారు. ఆ రక్తం వలన దేశం అపవిత్రం అయిపోయింది.

39 Thus they defiled themselves with their works, And played the harlot with their practices.

౩౯తమ క్రియల వలన వారు అపవిత్రులైపోయారు. తమ నడవడిలో వ్యభిచారులయ్యారు.

40 Then burned the anger of the LORD against his people, So that he abhorred his own inheritance.

౪౦కాబట్టి యెహోవా కోపం ఆయన ప్రజల మీద రగులుకుంది. ఆయన తన వారసత్వంపై అసహ్యపడ్డాడు.

41 And he gave them into the hand of the nations, And they who hated them ruled over them.

౪౧ఆయన వారిని అన్యజనుల చేతికి అప్పగించాడు. పగవారు వారిని ఏలారు.

42 Their enemies oppressed them, And they were bowed down under their hand.

౪౨శత్రువులు వారిని బాధపెట్టారు. వారు శత్రువుల చేతి కింద అణగారిపోయారు.

43 Many times did he deliver them; But they provoked him by their devices, And they were brought low for their iniquities.

౪౩అనేక మార్లు ఆయన వారిని విడిపించాడు. అయినా వారు తమ ఆలోచనను అనుసరించి తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తూ వచ్చారు. తమ పాపం మూలంగా హీనదశకు వెళ్ళిపోయారు.

44 Yet, when he heard their cries, He had regard to their affliction;

౪౪అయినా వారి రోదన తనకు వినబడగా వారికి కలిగిన బాధను ఆయన చూశాడు.

45 He remembered his covenant with them, And repented according to the greatness of his mercy,

౪౫వారిని తలంచుకుని ఆయన తన నిబంధనను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నాడు. తన నిబంధన విశ్వాస్యతను బట్టి వారిని కరుణించాడు.

46 And caused them to find pity Among all that carried them captive.

౪౬వారిని చెరగొనిపోయిన వారికందరికీ వారంటే జాలి పుట్టించాడు.

47 Save us, O Jehovah, our God! and gather us from among the nations, That we may give thanks to thy holy name, And glory in thy praise!

౪౭యెహోవా మా దేవా, మమ్మల్ని రక్షించు. మేము నీ పరిశుద్ధనామానికి కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించేలా, నిన్ను స్తుతిస్తూ మేము గర్వించేలా అన్యజనుల్లో నుండి మమ్మల్ని పోగుచెయ్యి.

48 [Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Praise ye Jehovah!]

౪౮ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా యుగయుగాలకూ స్తుతినొందు గాక. ప్రజలందరూ ఆమేన్‌ అందురు గాక. యెహోవాను స్తుతించండి.
