Psalms 106
1 Praise ye the LORD! O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!
Halleluja. Wysławiajcie Pana; albowiem dobry, albowiem na wieki miłosierdzie jego.
2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise?
Któż wysłowi niezmierną moc Pańską, a wypowie wszystkę chwałę jego?
3 Happy are they who have regard to justice, Who practise righteousness at all times!
Błogosławieni, którzy strzegą sądu, a czynią sprawiedliwość na każdy czas.
4 Remember me, O LORD! with the favor promised to thy people; O visit me with thy salvation!
Pamiętaj na mię, Panie! dla miłości ku ludowi swemu; nawiedźże mię zbawieniem swojem,
5 That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, That I may rejoice in the joy of thy people, That I may glory with thine inheritance!
Abym używał dobrego z wybranymi twoimi, a weselił się w radości narodu twego, i chlubił się wespół z dziedzictwem twojem.
6 We have sinned with our fathers; We have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
Zgrzeszyliśmy z ojcami swymi; niesprawiedliwieśmy czynili, i nieprawość popełniali.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not regard thy wonders; They remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; But rebelled at the sea, the Red sea.
Ojcowie nasi w Egipcie nie zrozumieli cudów twoich, ani pamiętali na wielkość miłosierdzia twego; ale odpornymi byli przy morzu Czerwonem.
8 Yet he saved them for his own name's sake. That he might make his mighty power to be known.
A wszakże ich wyswobodził dla imienia swego, aby oznajmił moc swoję.
9 He rebuked the Red sea, and it was dried up, And he led them through the deep as through a desert.
Bo zgromił morze Czerwone, i wyschło, a przewiódł ich przez przepaści, jako przez puszczę.
10 He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
A tak zachował ich od ręki tego, który ich miał w nienawiści, a wykupił ich z ręki nieprzyjacielskiej.
11 The waters covered their enemies; There was not one of them left.
W tem okryły wody tych, którzy ich ciążyli; nie został ani jeden z nich.
12 Then believed they his words, And sang his praise.
A choć uwierzyli słowom jego, i wysławiali chwałę jego:
13 But they soon forgot his deeds, And waited not for his counsel.
Przecież prędko zapomnieli na sprawy jego, i nie czekali na rady jego.
14 They gave way to appetite in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert;
Ale zdjęci będąc chciwością na puszczy, kusili Boga na pustyniach.
15 And he gave them their request, But sent upon them leanness.
I dał im, czego żądali, a wszakże przepuścił suchoty na nich.
16 They also envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
Zatem gdy się wzruszyli zawiścią przeciw Mojżeszowi w obozie, i przeciw Aaronowi, świętemu Pańskiemu:
17 Then the earth opened, and swallowed up Dathan, And covered the company of Abiram,
Otworzyła się ziemia, i pożarła Datana, i okryła rotę Abironową,
18 And a fire was kindled in their company; The flames burned up the wicked.
I zapalił się ogień na zebranie ich; płomień spalił niepobożnych.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, And worshipped a molten image;
Sprawili i cielca na Horebie, i kłaniali się bałwanowi litemu,
20 They changed their God of glory Into the image of a grass-eating ox.
I odmienili chwałę swą w podobieństwo wołu, jedzącego trawę.
21 They forgot God, their saviour, Who had done such great things in Egypt,
Zapomnieli na Boga, wybawiciela swego, który czynił wielkie rzeczy w Egipcie;
22 Such wonders in the land of Ham. Such terrible things at the Red sea.
Rzeczy dziwne w ziemi Chamowej, rzeczy straszne przy morzu Czerwonem.
23 Then he said that he would destroy them; Had not Moses, his chosen, stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, that he might not destroy them.
Przetoż rzekł, że ich chciał wytracić, gdyby się był Mojżesz, wybrany jego, nie stawił w onem rozerwaniu przed nim, a nie odwrócił popędliwości jego, aby ich nie tracił.
24 They also despised the pleasant land, And believed not his word;
Wzgardzili też ziemią pożądaną, nie wierząc słowu jego.
25 But murmured in their tents, And would not hearken to the voice of the LORD.
I szemrząc w namiotach swoich, nie byli posłuszni głosowi Pańskiemu.
26 Then he lifted up his hand against them, And swore that he would make them fall in the wilderness;
Przetoż podniósł rękę swoję przeciwko nim, aby ich pobił na puszczy;
27 That he would overthrow their descendants among the nations, And scatter them in the lands.
A żeby rozrzucił nasienie ich między pogan, i rozproszył ich po ziemiach.
28 They also gave themselves to the worship of Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to lifeless idols.
Sprzęgli się też byli z bałwanem Baalfegorem, a jedli ofiary umarłych.
29 Thus they provoked his anger by their practices, And a plague broke in upon them.
A tak draźnili Boga sprawami swemi, że się na nich oborzyła plaga;
30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment, And the plague was stayed.
Aż się zastawił Finees, a pomstę uczynił, i rozerwana jest ona plaga;
31 And this was counted to him for righteousness, To all generations for ever.
Co mu poczytano ku sprawiedliwości od narodu do narodu, aż na wieki.
32 They provoked him also at the waters of Meribah [[strife]], And evil befell Moses on their account.
Znowu go byli wzruszyli do gniewu u wód Meryba, tak, iż się źle działo i z Mojżeszem dla nich.
33 For they provoked his spirit, So that he spake inconsiderately with his lips.
Albowiem rozdraźnili ducha jego, że wyrzekł co niesłuszne usty swemi.
34 They did not destroy the nations, As Jehovah had commanded them.
Nadto nie wytracili onych narodów, o których im był Pan powiedział.
35 They mingled themselves with the peoples, And learned their practices.
Ale pomięszawszy się z onemi narodami, nauczyli się spraw ich:
36 They even worshipped their idols, Which became to them a snare.
I służyli bałwanom ich, które im były sidłem.
37 Their sons and their daughters they sacrificed to demons,
Albowiem dyjabłom ofiarowali synów swoich, i córki swoje,
38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their own sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.
I wylewali krew niewinną, krew synów swoich, i córek swoich, których ofiarowali bałwanom rytym Chananejskim, tak, że splugawiona była ziemia onem krwi rozlaniem.
39 Thus they defiled themselves with their works, And played the harlot with their practices.
I zmazali się sprawami swemi, a cudzołożyli wynalazkami swemi.
40 Then burned the anger of the LORD against his people, So that he abhorred his own inheritance.
Przetoż zapaliwszy się Pan w popędliwości przeciw ludowi swemu, obrzydził sobie dziedzictwo swoje,
41 And he gave them into the hand of the nations, And they who hated them ruled over them.
I podał ich w ręce poganom; a panowali nad nimi, którzy ich mieli w nienawiści;
42 Their enemies oppressed them, And they were bowed down under their hand.
I uciskali ich nieprzyjaciele ich, tak, że poniżeni byli pod ręką ich.
43 Many times did he deliver them; But they provoked him by their devices, And they were brought low for their iniquities.
Częstokroć ich wybawiał; wszakże go oni wzruszali do gniewu radami swemi, zaczem poniżeni byli dla nieprawości swoich.
44 Yet, when he heard their cries, He had regard to their affliction;
A wszakże wejrzał na ucisk ich, i usłyszał wołanie ich.
45 He remembered his covenant with them, And repented according to the greatness of his mercy,
Bo sobie wspomniał na przymierze swoje z nimi, a żałował tego według wielkiej litości swojej.
46 And caused them to find pity Among all that carried them captive.
Tak, że im zjednał miłosierdzie przed oczyma wszystkich, którzy ich byli pojmali.
47 Save us, O Jehovah, our God! and gather us from among the nations, That we may give thanks to thy holy name, And glory in thy praise!
Wybawże nas, Panie, Boże nasz! a zgromadź nas z tych pogan, abyśmy wysławiali imię świętobliwości twojej, a chlubili się w chwale twojej.
48 [Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Praise ye Jehovah!]
Błogosławiony Pan, Bóg Izraelski, od wieków aż na wieki; na co niech rzecze wszystek lud: Amen, Halleluja.
