< Psalms 106 >

1 Praise ye the LORD! O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever!
Lwanj pou Seyè a! Wi, lwanj pou Seyè a paske li bon: li p'ap janm sispann renmen nou.
2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD? Who can show forth all his praise?
Ki moun ki ka rakonte tout gwo bagay Seyè a fè? Ki moun ki ka fin fè lwanj li?
3 Happy are they who have regard to justice, Who practise righteousness at all times!
Ala bon sa bon pou moun ki fè sa Bondye mande l' fè, ki toujou ap fè sa ki dwat devan li!
4 Remember me, O LORD! with the favor promised to thy people; O visit me with thy salvation!
Seyè, jan ou gen kè sansib pou pèp ou a, pa bliye m'. Pa bliye m', lè w'ap vin delivre yo.
5 That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen, That I may rejoice in the joy of thy people, That I may glory with thine inheritance!
Konsa, m'a wè jan moun ou chwazi yo alèz. M'a fè kè m' kontan ansanm ak pèp ou a. M'a pran plezi m' ansanm ak moun ki pou ou yo.
6 We have sinned with our fathers; We have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
Tankou zansèt nou yo, nou te peche, nou te fè mechanste, nou te fè sa ki mal.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not regard thy wonders; They remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; But rebelled at the sea, the Red sea.
8 Yet he saved them for his own name's sake. That he might make his mighty power to be known.
Men, li te sove yo pou sa sèvi yon lwanj pou li, pou l' moutre jan li gen pouvwa.
9 He rebuked the Red sea, and it was dried up, And he led them through the deep as through a desert.
Li te pase Lanmè Wouj la lòd, lanmè a cheche. Li fè pèp li mache nan fon lanmè a tankou si se te nan yon dezè.
10 He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
Li sove yo anba men moun ki te rayi yo, li delivre yo anba men lènmi yo.
11 The waters covered their enemies; There was not one of them left.
Dlo a neye tout lènmi yo. Pa gen yonn ki chape.
12 Then believed they his words, And sang his praise.
Se lè sa a pèp li a vin kwè sa l' te di a, yo chante pou fè lwanj li.
13 But they soon forgot his deeds, And waited not for his counsel.
Men, lamenm, yo bliye sa l' te fè pou yo. Yo pa t' tann li fin fè pou yo sa l' te gen nan lide l'.
14 They gave way to appetite in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert;
Yo kite lanvi pran pye sou yo nan dezè a, yo t'ap gade ki bò Bondye ye ak yo.
15 And he gave them their request, But sent upon them leanness.
Se konsa, Bondye ba yo sa yo te mande l' la. Men, li voye yon move maladi sou yo pou touye yo.
16 They also envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
Antan yo la nan dezè a yo te rayi sò Moyiz ak sò Arawon, sèvitè Bondye te chwazi a.
17 Then the earth opened, and swallowed up Dathan, And covered the company of Abiram,
Se konsa latè a fann, li vale Datan, li fèmen sou Abiram ansanm ak tout moun ki te fè bann ak li yo.
18 And a fire was kindled in their company; The flames burned up the wicked.
Dife grennen sou tout bann lan, li boule tout mechan yo.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, And worshipped a molten image;
Lè yo te Orèb, yo fè pòtre yon ti towo bèf, yo adore zidòl yo te fè ak lò a.
20 They changed their God of glory Into the image of a grass-eating ox.
Yo pran lwanj ki pou Bondye a bay yon pòtre bèf ki manje zèb.
21 They forgot God, their saviour, Who had done such great things in Egypt,
Yo bliye Bondye ki te delivre yo a, avèk gwo mèvèy li te fè nan peyi Lejip,
22 Such wonders in the land of Ham. Such terrible things at the Red sea.
mirak li te fè nan peyi Kam lan, mèvèy li tè fè bò Lanmè Wouj la.
23 Then he said that he would destroy them; Had not Moses, his chosen, stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, that he might not destroy them.
Se konsa Bondye di l'ap detwi pèp li a. Men, Moyiz, moun li te chwazi a, kanpe devan li. Li mande l' pou l' pa fè kòlè jouk pou li ta detwi yo.
24 They also despised the pleasant land, And believed not his word;
Yo pa t' vle tande pale sou peyi kote pou yo jwenn tout bon bagay la paske yo pa t' kwè pawòl Bondye.
25 But murmured in their tents, And would not hearken to the voice of the LORD.
Yo rete anba tant yo, y'ap bougonnen. Yo pa t' vle koute Seyè a.
26 Then he lifted up his hand against them, And swore that he would make them fall in the wilderness;
Lè sa a, Seyè a leve men l', li sèmante l'ap fè yo peri nan dezè a.
27 That he would overthrow their descendants among the nations, And scatter them in the lands.
L'ap gaye tout pitit pitit yo nan mitan lòt nasyon yo, l'ap kite yo mouri toupatou nan peyi etranje.
28 They also gave themselves to the worship of Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to lifeless idols.
Men, pèp Bondye a mete tèt yo ansanm pou y' al adore Baal lavil Peyò. Yo manje bèt yo te touye ofri bay mò yo.
29 Thus they provoked his anger by their practices, And a plague broke in upon them.
Sa te moute kolè Seyè a anpil sou yo lè li wè sa yo t'ap fè. Se poutèt sa maladi tonbe sou yo.
30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment, And the plague was stayed.
Men, Fineas leve, li mete lòd, li pini koupab yo, epi pèp la geri.
31 And this was counted to him for righteousness, To all generations for ever.
Bagay sa ki rive a te fè yo bay Fineas rezon depi lè sa a pou tout tan.
32 They provoked him also at the waters of Meribah [[strife]], And evil befell Moses on their account.
Pèp la te fè Seyè a fache anpil bò sous dlo Meriba a. Sa te fè Moyiz lapenn pou yo.
33 For they provoked his spirit, So that he spake inconsiderately with his lips.
Sa te fè Moyiz sitèlman fache, li te rive fè bagay li pa t' gen dwa fè.
34 They did not destroy the nations, As Jehovah had commanded them.
Yo pa t' detwi moun lòt nasyon yo jan Seyè a te mande yo fè a.
35 They mingled themselves with the peoples, And learned their practices.
Men, okontrè, yo te marye ak yo, yo pran tout vye mès yo.
36 They even worshipped their idols, Which became to them a snare.
Yo pran adore zidòl yo. Sa tounen yon pèlen pou yo.
37 Their sons and their daughters they sacrificed to demons,
Yo ofri pwòp pitit gason ak pwòp pitit fi yo pou touye bay zidòl yo.
38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their own sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.
Yo touye ti inonsan sa yo, pwòp pitit gason ak pitit fi yo. Yo ofri yo bay zidòl moun peyi Kanaran yo. Se konsa yo fin derespekte tout peyi a ak san moun yo te touye.
39 Thus they defiled themselves with their works, And played the harlot with their practices.
Avèk sa yo t'ap fè a, yo avili tèt yo, yo vire do bay Bondye.
40 Then burned the anger of the LORD against his people, So that he abhorred his own inheritance.
Seyè a te fache anpil sou pèp li a. Li te degoute ak pitit li yo.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the nations, And they who hated them ruled over them.
Li lage yo nan men moun lòt nasyon yo. Moun ki te rayi yo mete pye sou kou yo.
42 Their enemies oppressed them, And they were bowed down under their hand.
Lènmi yo t'ap peze yo, yo te soumèt yo nèt anba men yo.
43 Many times did he deliver them; But they provoked him by their devices, And they were brought low for their iniquities.
Seyè a te delivre pèp li a anpil fwa. Men, yo te pito revòlte kont li, yo te tonbe pi mal nan fè peche.
44 Yet, when he heard their cries, He had regard to their affliction;
Men, Seyè a te wè mizè yo, li te tande jan y'ap rele.
45 He remembered his covenant with them, And repented according to the greatness of his mercy,
Li chonje kontra li te pase ak yo, li gen pitye pou yo paske li renmen yo anpil.
46 And caused them to find pity Among all that carried them captive.
Li fè moun ki te kenbe yo prizonye gen pitye pou yo.
47 Save us, O Jehovah, our God! and gather us from among the nations, That we may give thanks to thy holy name, And glory in thy praise!
Delivre nou non, Seyè, Bondye nou. Fè nou soti nan tout peyi kote nou gaye yo. Sanble nou non, pou nou ka di ou mèsi pou tout bagay ou menm ase ou ka fè, pou nou ka kontan lè n'ap fè lwanj ou.
48 [Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Praise ye Jehovah!]
Ann fè lwanj Seyè a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la! Ann fè lwanj li depi tout tan ak pou tout tan! Epi tout pèp la pran reponn: Wi, se vre! Lwanj pou Seyè a!
