Psalms 105
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; Call upon his name; Make known his deeds among the people!
Tacker Herranom, och prediker hans Namn; förkunner hans verk ibland folken.
2 Sing unto him; sing psalms unto him; Tell ye of all his wondrous works!
Sjunger om honom, och lofver honom; taler om all hans under.
3 Glory ye in his holy name; Let the hearts of them that seek the LORD rejoice!
Lofver hans helga Namn; deras hjerta, som Herran söka, glädje sig.
4 Seek the LORD, and his majesty; Seek his face continually!
Fråger efter Herranom, och efter hans magt; söker hans ansigte alltid.
5 Remember the wonders he hath wrought, His miracles and the judgments of his mouth,
Tänker uppå hans underliga verk, som han gjort hafver; uppå hans under, och uppå hans ord;
6 Ye offspring of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob his chosen!
I Abrahams hans tjenares säd, I Jacobs hans utkorades barn.
7 Jehovah, he is our God, His judgments are over all the earth.
Han är Herren vår Gud; han dömer i hela verldene.
8 He remembereth his covenant for ever, And the promise to a thousand generations;
Han tänker evinnerliga uppå sitt förbund; på det ord han lofvat hafver till mång tusend, slägte ifrå slägte;
9 The covenant which he made with Abraham, And the oath which he gave to Isaac;
Det han gjort hafver med Abraham; och på eden med Isaac;
10 Which he confirmed to Jacob for a decree, And to Israel for an everlasting covenant.
Och satte det Jacob till en rätt, och Israel till ett evigt förbund;
11 “To thee,” said he, “will I give the land of Canaan For the lot of your inheritance.”
Och sade: Dig vill jag gifva det landet Canaan, edars arfs lott;
12 When they were yet few in number, Very few, and strangers in the land;
Då de få och ringa voro, och främlingar derinne.
13 When they went from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people,
Och de foro ifrå folk till folk; ifrå det ena riket till annat folk.
14 He suffered no man to oppress them; Yea, he rebuked kings for their sakes.
Han lät ingen menniska göra dem skada, och näpste Konungar för deras skull:
15 “Touch not,” said he, “mine anointed, And do my prophets no harm!”
Kommer intet vid mina smorda, och görer intet ondt minom Prophetom.
16 Again, when he commanded a famine in the land, And broke the whole staff of bread,
Och han lät en dyr tid komma i landet, och förtog dem allt bröds uppehälle.
17 He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold as a slave.
Han sände en man framför dem; Joseph vardt såld till en träl.
18 His feet they hurt with fetters; He was bound in chains of iron;
De tvingade hans fötter i fjettrar; hans kropp måste jern ligga;
19 Until his prediction came to pass, And the word of the LORD proved him.
Tilldess hans ord kom, och Herrans tal pröfvade honom.
20 Then the king sent, and loosed him; The ruler of nations, and set him free;
Då sände Konungen bort, och lät gifva honom lös; herren öfver folken böd låta honom ut.
21 He made him governor of his house, And lord of all his possessions;
Han satte honom till en herra öfver sitt hus; till en föreståndare öfver alla sina ägodelar;
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his counsellors wisdom.
Att han skulle undervisa hans Förstar, efter sitt sätt, och lära hans äldsta vishet.
23 Israel also came into Egypt, And Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham;
Och Israel for in uti Egypten, och Jacob vardt en främling i Hams land.
24 Where God increased his people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies.
Och han lät sitt folk svåliga växa, och gjorde dem mägtigare än deras fiender.
25 He turned their hearts to hate his people, And form devices against his servants.
Han förvände deras hjerta, så att de hans folk hätske vordo, och tänkte till att förtrycka hans tjenare med list.
26 Then sent he Moses his servant, And Aaron, whom he had chosen.
Han sände sin tjenare Mose; Aaron, den han utvalt hade.
27 They showed his signs among them, And his wonders in the land of Ham.
De samme gjorde hans tecken ibland dem, och hans under i Hams land.
28 He sent darkness upon them, and made it dark; And they did not disobey his word.
Han lät mörker komma, och gjordet mörkt; och de voro icke hans ordom ohörsamme.
29 He turned their waters into blood, And caused their fish to die.
Han förvände deras vatten i blod, och dräp deras fiskar.
30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, Even in the chambers of their kings.
Deras land gaf myckna paddor ifrå sig; ja, uti deras Konungars kamrar.
31 He spake, and there came flies, And lice in all their coasts.
Han sade, då kom ohyra; löss uti alla deras landsändar.
32 Instead of rain he gave them hail, And flaming fire in their land.
Han gaf dem hagel till regn; eldslåga uti deras land;
33 He smote also their vines and fig-trees, And broke the trees of their coasts.
Och slog deras vinträ och fikonaträ, och förderfvade trän i deras landsändar.
34 He spake, and the locusts came. Destructive locusts without number,
Han sade, då kommo gräshoppor, gräsmatkar otalige;
35 Which ate up all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruits of their fields.
Och de uppåto allt gräset i deras land, och uppfrätte frukten på deras mark;
36 Then he smote all the first-born in their land, The first-fruits of all their strength.
Och slog allt förstfödt uti deras land, alla deras första arfvingar.
37 He led forth his people with silver and gold; Nor was there one feeble person in all their tribes.
Och han förde dem ut med silfver och guld, och ibland deras slägter var ingen krank.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed, For their terror had fallen upon them.
Egypten var glad, att de utdrogo; ty deras fruktan var uppå dem fallen.
39 He spread out a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light by night.
Han utsträckte en molnsky till skjul, och eld om nattena till att lysa.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
De bådo, och han lät komma åkerhöns; och han mättade dem med himmelsbröd.
41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed forth, And ran in the dry places like a river.
Han öppnade bergsklippona, och vatten flöt derut, så att bäcker flöto i torra öknene.
42 For he remembered his holy promise, Which he had made to Abraham his servant;
Ty han tänkte på sitt helga ord, det han till Abraham sin tjenare talat hade.
43 And he led forth his people with joy, And his chosen with gladness.
Alltså förde han sitt folk ut med fröjd, och sina utkorade med glädje;
44 He gave to them the lands of the nations, And they inherited the labor of the peoples;
Och gaf dem Hedningarnas land, så att de folks gods intogo;
45 That they might observe his statutes, And obey his laws. Praise ye the LORD!
På det de skulle hålla hans rätter, och bevara hans lag. Halleluja.
