Psalms 104
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD, my God! thou art very great! Thou art clothed with glory and majesty!
Błogosław, moja duszo, PANA. PANIE, mój Boże, jesteś bardzo wielki; odziałeś się w chwałę i majestat.
2 He covereth himself with light as with a garment; He spreadeth out the heavens like a curtain;
Okryłeś się światłością jak szatą, rozciągnąłeś niebiosa jak zasłonę.
3 He layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; He maketh the clouds his chariot; He rideth upon the wings of the wind.
Zbudowałeś na wodach swoje komnaty, czynisz obłoki swym rydwanem, chodzisz na skrzydłach wiatru.
4 He maketh the winds his messengers, The flaming lightnings his ministers.
Czynisz swoich aniołów duchami, swe sługi ogniem płonącym.
5 He established the earth on its foundations; It shall not be removed for ever.
Założyłeś fundamenty ziemi, tak że się nigdy nie zachwieje.
6 Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains!
Okryłeś ją głębią jak szatą, wody stanęły nad górami.
7 At thy rebuke they fled; At the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
Na twoje zgromienie rozbiegły się, a na głos twego grzmotu szybko pouciekały.
8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank, In the place which thou didst appoint for them.
Wzniosły się ponad góry, zniżyły się w doliny, na miejsce, które dla nich założyłeś.
9 Thou hast established a bound which the waters may not pass, That they may not return, and cover the earth.
Wyznaczyłeś [im] granicę, aby jej nie przekroczyły ani nie powróciły, by okryć ziemię.
10 He sendeth forth the springs in brooks; They run among the mountains;
Wypuszczasz źródła po dolinach, [aby] płynęły między górami;
11 They give drink to all the beasts of the forest; In them the wild asses quench their thirst.
I napoiły wszystkie zwierzęta polne, dzikie osły gaszą [w nich] swoje pragnienie.
12 About them the birds of heaven have their habitation; They sing among the branches.
Przy nich mieszka ptactwo niebieskie i śpiewa pośród gałęzi.
13 He watereth the hills from his chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works!
Nawadniasz góry ze swoich komnat, owocami twoich dzieł syci się ziemia.
14 He causeth grass to spring up for cattle, And herbage for the service of man, To bring forth food out of the earth,
Sprawiasz, że rośnie trawa dla bydła i zioła na użytek człowieka, żeby dobywał chleb z ziemi;
15 And wine that gladdeneth the heart of man, Making his face to shine more than oil, And bread that strengtheneth man's heart.
I wino, które rozwesela serce człowieka, i oliwę, od której rozjaśnia się twarz, i chleb, który krzepi serce ludzkie.
16 The trees of the LORD are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
Nasycone są drzewa PANA, cedry Libanu, które zasadził;
17 There the birds build their nests; In the cypresses the stork hath her abode.
Na których ptaki mają swe gniazda; jedliny, na których bocian [ma] swój dom.
18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats, And the rocks for the conies.
Wysokie góry są dla górskich kozłów, a skały [są] schronieniem dla królików.
19 He appointed the moon to mark seasons; The sun knoweth when to go down.
Uczynił księżyc, aby odmierzał czas; słońce zna swój zachód.
20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night, When all the beasts of the forest go forth!
Sprowadzasz ciemność i nastaje noc, w której wychodzą wszystkie zwierzęta leśne.
21 The young lions roar for prey, And seek their food from God.
Lwiątka ryczą za łupem i szukają swego pokarmu od Boga.
22 When the sun ariseth, they withdraw themselves, And lie down in their dens.
Słońce wstaje, schodzą się razem i kładą się w swoich jamach.
23 Man goeth forth to his work, And to his labor, until the evening.
[Wtedy] wychodzi człowiek do swojej roboty i do swojej pracy aż do wieczora.
24 O LORD! how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all! The earth is full of thy riches!
O, jak liczne są twoje dzieła, PANIE! Wszystkie je uczyniłeś mądrze, ziemia jest pełna twego bogactwa.
25 Lo! this great and wide sea! In it are moving creatures without number, Animals small and great.
Oto morze wielkie i szerokie, w nim niezliczone istoty pełzające, zwierzęta małe i wielkie.
26 There go the ships; There is the leviathan, which thou hast made to play therein.
Po nim pływają okręty i Lewiatan, którego stworzyłeś, aby w nim igrał.
27 All these wait on thee To give them their food in due season.
Wszystko to czeka na ciebie, abyś dał im pokarm we właściwym czasie.
28 Thou givest it to them, they gather it; Thou openest thine hand, they are satisfied with good.
[Gdy] dajesz im, zbierają; gdy otwierasz swą rękę, sycą się dobrami.
29 Thou hidest thy face, they are confounded; Thou takest away their breath, they die, And return to the dust.
[Lecz gdy] ukrywasz swe oblicze, trwożą się; gdy odbierasz im ducha, giną i obracają się w proch.
30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, And thou renewest the face of the earth.
[Gdy] wysyłasz twego ducha, zostają stworzone i odnawiasz oblicze ziemi.
31 The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever; The LORD shall rejoice in his works;
Niech chwała PANA trwa na wieki, niech się raduje PAN swymi dziełami.
32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
Patrzy na ziemię, a ona drży, dotyka gór, a dymią.
33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live, I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Będę śpiewał PANU, póki żyję; będę śpiewał memu Bogu, póki istnieję.
34 May my meditation be acceptable to him! I will rejoice in the LORD.
Moje rozmyślanie o nim wdzięczne będzie, rozraduję się w PANU.
35 May sinners perish from the earth, And the wicked be no more! Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise ye the LORD!
Niech zostaną wytraceni z ziemi grzesznicy i niech nie będzie już niegodziwych! Błogosław, moja duszo, PANA. Alleluja.
