Proverbs 3
1 My son, forget not my teaching, And let thy heart observe my precepts!
౧కుమారా, నేను బోధించే ఉపదేశాన్ని మనసులో ఉంచుకో. నేను బోధించే ఆజ్ఞలు హృదయపూర్వకంగా ఆచరించు.
2 For length of days, and years of life, And peace shall they multiply to thee.
౨అవి నీకు మనశ్శాంతితో కూడిన ఆయుష్షును, సుఖంగా జీవించే కాలాన్ని కలగజేస్తాయి.
3 Let not kindness and truth forsake thee; Bind them around thy neck, Write them upon the tablet of thy heart:
౩అన్ని వేళలా దయ, సత్య ప్రవర్తన కలిగి ఉండు. వాటిని మెడలో హారాలుగా ధరించుకో. నీ హృదయమనే పలక మీద వాటిని రాసుకో.
4 Then shalt thou find favor and good success In the sight of God and man.
౪అప్పుడు దేవుని కృప, మనుషుల కృప పొంది నీతిమంతుడవని అనిపించుకుంటావు.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thy heart, And lean not on thine own understanding;
౫నీ స్వంత తెలివితేటలపై ఆధారపడకుండా మనస్ఫూర్తిగా యెహోవాను నమ్ముకో.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will make thy paths plain.
౬ఆయన అధికారానికి నిన్ను నీవు అప్పగించుకో. అప్పుడు ఆయన నీ మార్గాలన్నీ సరళం చేస్తాడు.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes; Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
౭నేను జ్ఞానం గలవాణ్ణి అనుకోవద్దు. యెహోవా పట్ల భయభక్తులు కలిగి ఉండి చెడుతనానికి దూరంగా ఉండు.
8 It shall be health to thy muscles, And moisture to thy bones.
౮అప్పుడు నీ శరీరానికి ఆరోగ్యం, నీ ఎముకలకు సత్తువ కలుగుతాయి.
9 Honor the LORD with thy substance, And with the first-fruits of all thy increase;
౯యెహోవాకు నీ రాబడి మొత్తంలో ప్రథమ ఫలం, నీ ఆస్తిలో వాటా ఇచ్చి ఆయనను ఘనపరచు.
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy vats overflow with new wine.
౧౦అలా చేస్తే నీ వాకిట్లో ధాన్యం సమృద్ధిగా ఉంటుంది. నీ గానుగల్లో కొత్త ద్రాక్షారసం పొంగి పారుతుంది.
11 My son, despise not the correction of the LORD, Nor be impatient under his chastisement!
౧౧కుమారా, యెహోవా బోధను తిరస్కరించకు. ఆయన గద్దించినప్పుడు విసుగు తెచ్చుకోకు.
12 For whom the LORD loveth he chasteneth, Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
౧౨ఒక తండ్రి తన ప్రియమైన కొడుకును ఎలా గద్దిస్తాడో అలాగే యెహోవా తాను ప్రేమించే వాళ్ళను గద్దిస్తాడు.
13 Happy the man who findeth wisdom; Yea, the man who getteth understanding!
౧౩జ్ఞానం సంపాదించుకుని, వివేకం కలిగి ఉన్న మనిషి ధన్యుడు.
14 For the profit thereof is greater than that of silver, And the gain thereof than that of fine gold.
౧౪వెండి వలన పొందే లాభం కన్నా జ్ఞానం సంపాదించుకోవడం మంచిది. మేలిమి బంగారం సంపాదించుకోవడం కన్నా జ్ఞానం వలన లాభం పొందడం ఉత్తమం.
15 More precious is she than pearls, And none of thy jewels is to be compared with her.
౧౫రత్నాల కంటే జ్ఞానం శ్రేష్ఠమైనది. అది నీకు ఇష్టమైన అన్ని వస్తువుల కంటే విలువైనది.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor.
౧౬జ్ఞానం కుడి చేతిలో సుదీర్ఘమైన ఆయుష్షు, ఎడమ చేతిలో సంపదలు, పేరు ప్రఖ్యాతులు ఉన్నాయి.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.
౧౭అది నడిపించే దారులు రమ్యమైనవి. దాని విధానాలు క్షేమం కలిగించేవి.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold of her, And happy is every one who hath her in his grasp.
౧౮దాన్ని అనుసరించే వాళ్ళకు అది జీవఫలాలిచ్చే వృక్షం. దాన్ని అలవరచుకునే వాళ్ళు ధన్యజీవులు.
19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding he framed the heavens.
౧౯తన జ్ఞానంతో యెహోవా భూమిని సృష్టించాడు. వివేకంతో ఆయన ఆకాశ మండలాలను స్థిరపరచాడు.
20 By his knowledge the deep waters were cleft, And the clouds drop down the dew.
౨౦ఆయన తెలివివల్ల జలరాసులు అగాథం నుండి ప్రవహిస్తున్నాయి. ఆకాశంలోని మేఘాలు మంచు బిందువులు కురిపిస్తున్నాయి.
21 My son, let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep sound wisdom and discretion!
౨౧కుమారా, లోతైన జ్ఞానాన్ని, వివేకాన్ని పదిలం చేసుకో. వాటిని నీ మనసులో నుండి తొలగి పోనివ్వకు.
22 For they shall be life to thy soul, And grace to thy neck.
౨౨జ్ఞానం, వివేకాలు నీకు ప్రాణప్రదంగా, నీ మెడలో అలంకారాలుగా ఉంటాయి.
23 Then shalt thou go on thy way securely, And thy foot shall not stumble;
౨౩అప్పుడు నువ్వు నడిచే మార్గాల్లో భద్రంగా ఉంటావు. నీ నడక ఎప్పుడూ తొట్రుపడదు.
24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid, Yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
౨౪పండుకొనే సమయంలో నీకు భయం వెయ్యదు. నీవు పండుకుని హాయిగా నిద్రపోతావు.
25 Be not thou afraid of sudden alarm, Nor of the storm that is for the wicked, when it cometh;
౨౫అకస్మాత్తుగా భయం వేస్తే కలవరపడకు. దుర్మార్గులు నాశనం అవుతున్నప్పుడు అది చూసి నువ్వు భయపడవద్దు.
26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence; Yea, he will keep thy foot from being taken.
౨౬యెహోవాయే నీకు అండగా ఉంటాడు. నీ కాలు ఊబిలో చిక్కుకోకుండా ఆయన నిన్ను కాపాడతాడు.
27 Withhold not kindness from those who need it, When it is in the power of thy hand to do it.
౨౭అవసరంలో ఉన్నవారికి సహాయం చేయడానికి నీకు అవకాశం ఉన్నప్పుడు దాన్ని చేయడానికి వెనకడుగు వెయ్యవద్దు.
28 Say not to thy neighbor, “Go, and come again, And to-morrow I will give to thee,” when thou hast it by thee.
౨౮నీ పొరుగువాడు కోరినది నీ దగ్గర ఉంటే “రేపు ఇస్తాను పోయి రా” అనవద్దు.
29 Devise not evil against thy neighbor, While he dwelleth securely by thee.
౨౯నీ పొరుగువాడు నీ దగ్గర భయం ఏమీ లేకుండా జీవిస్తున్నప్పుడు అతనికి కీడు తలపెట్టవద్దు.
30 Contend not with a man without cause, When he hath done thee no harm.
౩౦నీకేమీ కీడు తలపెట్టని వాడితో కారణం లేకుండా పోట్లాడవద్దు.
31 Envy not the oppressor, And choose none of his ways.
౩౧దౌర్జన్యం చేసేవాణ్ణి చూసి అసూయ పడవద్దు. వాడు చేసే పనులు నువ్వు చెయ్యాలని ఏమాత్రం కోరుకోవద్దు.
32 For the perverse man is the abomination of the LORD, But he is in friendship with the upright.
౩౨కుటిల బుద్ధి గలవాణ్ణి యెహోవా అసహ్యించుకుంటాడు. నీతిమంతులకు ఆయన తోడుగా ఉంటాడు.
33 The curse of the LORD is upon the house of the wicked, But he blesseth the dwelling of the righteous.
౩౩దుర్మార్గుల ఇళ్ళ మీదికి యెహోవా శాపాలు పంపిస్తాడు. నీతిమంతులు నివసించే స్థలాలను ఆయన దీవిస్తాడు.
34 Surely the scorners he treadeth scornfully, But giveth favor to the lowly.
౩౪ఎగతాళి చేసేవాళ్ళను ఆయన ఎగతాళి చేస్తాడు. దీనమనస్సు గలవారిని ఆయన కనికరిస్తాడు.
35 The wise shall obtain honor, But fools shall bear off shame.
౩౫జ్ఞానం గలవారు పేరుప్రతిష్టలు సంపాదించుకుంటారు. జ్ఞానం లేనివాళ్ళు అవమానాలకు గురౌతారు.
