Philippians 1
1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, together with the bishops and deacons:
[Eu, ]Paulo, e Timóteo [somos ]homens que servimos Jesus Cristo. [Estou escrevendo esta carta ]a todos [vocês que são ]pastores e diáconos na [cidade de ]Filipos e ao resto do povo de Deus [ali que tem um relacionamento íntimo ]com Cristo Jesus.
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
[Nós dois/eu oramos que ]Deus, [que é ]nosso Pai, e Jesus Cristo, [que é nosso ]Senhor, [continuem a mostrar ]bondade a vocês e [continuem a ]fazer com que vocês tenham paz interior.
3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
Dou graças a Deus sempre que penso em vocês.
4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy
Sempre quando [DOU][DOU] oro [por vocês], oro com alegria [DOU]por todos vocês.
5 on account of your fellowship in the cause of the gospel from the first day until now;
[Agradeço a Deus e fico feliz ]porque vocês [trabalham ]junto comigo para [proclamar ]a boa mensagem. [Começaram a fazer isso ]logo quando [creram e continuam a fazer ]até agora.
6 being confident of this very thing, that he who began in you a good work, will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus;
Tenho completa confiança que Deus, que já começou a trabalhar/operar em vocês o que é bom (ou, que, [já que ]Deus começou a trabalhar/operar em vocês aquilo que é bom, ele) vai continuar a aperfeiçoar vocês até o dia quando Jesus Cristo [MTY] [voltar].
7 even as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, all of you being sharers of the grace bestowed on me.
[MTY] - Neste tempo quando tenho sido preso [MTY][MTY]e tenho defendido a boa mensagem [perante as pessoas ]e provado/confirmado [para eles ]que é a verdade, todos vocês têm compartilhado comigo (ou, têm me ajudado) neste trabalho [que Deus ]na sua bondade [me deu para fazer. ]Então [por isso ]é certo que sinto alegria por causa de todos vocês, pois são muito queridos para mim.
8 For God is my witness how much I long for you all in the tender affection of Christ Jesus.
Deus [pode ]testemunhar que Cristo Jesus me faz [amar ]vocês [e ]ter muitas saudades por vocês, [assim como ]Cristo ama [vocês].
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment;
E [o que ]oro [por vocês ]é que [Deus faça com que ]realmente saibam como amar [uns aos outros ]cada vez mais de maneira apropriada em cada situação.
10 so that ye may approve the things that are most excellent, in order that ye may be pure and without offence against the day of Christ,
[E oro que ele ajude ]vocês a entenderem muito bem como devem crer e agir. [Oro isso para que vocês sejam ]totalmente puros e sem falhas [espiritualmente ](ou, totalmente sem falhas) [DOU] no dia em que Cristo [voltar][, MTY]
11 being filled with the fruit of righteousness which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
[para que ]ajam / vivam de maneira completamente justa, porque Jesus Cristo [ajuda vocês a fazer isso, ]para que [as pessoas ]honrem a Deus e o louvem, (ou, [as pessoas ]louvem muito a Deus [dou][dou]).
12 But I wish you to know, brethren, that things with me have resulted in the furtherance of the gospel;
Meus irmãos crentes, quero que saibam que os [problemas ]que tenho tido [não têm me impedido de pregar a boa mensagem às pessoas. ]Pelo contrário, [estas coisas que me têm acontecido ]têm feito com que ainda mais pessoas ouviram a boa mensagem.
13 so that my bonds have become known in connection with Christ in the whole camp of the imperial guards, and to all the rest;
[Especificamente], todos os guardas militares estacionados [nesta cidade ]e muitas outras [hyp][pessoas na cidade ][hyp][agora ]sabem que sou preso[MTY][MTY]porque [proclamo as boas notícias ]sobre Cristo.
14 and that the great part of the brethren, made confident in the Lord by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Também, a maioria dos crentes [aqui agora ]proclamam a mensagem de Deus com mais coragem e sem medo [porque ]confiam [mais firmemente ]no Senhor [para ajudá-los. Confiam mais no Senhor ]porque [veem como o Senhor me tem ajudado ]enquanto sou preso [MTY] [MTY][aqui.]
15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from good will.
Alguns proclamam [a mensagem de ]Cristo [assim como eu faço ]porque se alegram [com o meu trabalho. ]Eles proclamam [a mensagem de Cristo ]porque [me ]amam [e porque ]sabem que [Deus ]me colocou [aqui ]para que eu defenda a boa mensagem.
16 but they who are of a factious spirit preach Christ with no pure intent, thinking to stir up affliction to my bonds.
17 They who are of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel;
Outros proclamam [a mensagem sobre ]Cristo porque têm inveja [de mim ]e se opõem [a mim. ]Essas pessoas querem se colocar [acima de mim. Proclamam a mensagem de Cristo por ]motivos errados. Eles pensam [erradamente que porque fazem muitas pessoas segui-los, eu vou ficar com inveja e como resultado ]vou sofrer mais enquanto sou preso [MTY][MTY][aqui.]
18 What then? Notwithstanding, in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached; and therein do I rejoice, yea, and shall rejoice.
Mas tanto faz/que [RHQ] importa! [RHQ] Não importa se [as pessoas proclamam a mensagem de Cristo ]porque têm motivos errados ou se [proclamam a mensagem de Cristo ]porque têm motivos certos. O importante em todo caso é que as pessoas proclamem [a mensagem de Cristo], e por causa disso eu me alegro! E vou continuar a alegrar-me,
19 For I know that this will turn out to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
porque sei que o resultado [destas dificuldades que estou tendo ]vai [ser que algum dia Deus ]dirá que ele gosta [do que tenho feito ](ou, que [as autoridades romanas ]vão me pôr em liberdade). [Isso vai acontecer ]como resultado das orações de vocês [por mim], e [como resultado ]do Espírito de [Deus], que Jesus Cristo [me deu], para ajudar-[me.]
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so also now, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.
[Sei que isso vai acontecer ]porque espero confiantemente [DOU] que de nenhuma maneira eu hesite [a honrar a Cristo. ]Pelo contrário, assim como sempre [fiz], vou também continuar agora a honrar a Cristo com toda coragem em tudo que faço, [SYM, MTY] quer [pelo meu modo de ]viver, quer pelo [meu ]modo de morrer.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Vivo [para honrar a ]Cristo, mas se eu morrer, será melhor [para mim do que continuar a viver, porque então serei totalmente unido a ele. ]
22 But if to live in the flesh, if this is to me the fruit of my labor, then what I should choose, I cannot say;
Por outro lado, se eu continuar a viver, isso vai me ajudar a continuar a servir bem a [Cristo]. Por isso, não sei se prefiro [viver ou morrer. ]
23 but I am held in a strait by the two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; for it is far better;
Isso é, não sei com certeza qual desses dois [prefiro. ]Desejo deixar [este mundo ]e [ir ]estar com Cristo porque isso é muito melhor [para mim. ]
24 but to abide in the flesh is more needful for your sake.
Mesmo assim, é mais importante que eu permaneça vivo do que ir estar com Cristo porque vocês ainda precisam [de minha ajuda. ]
25 And being persuaded of this, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your advancement and joy in your faith,
Já que estou convencido disso, sei que vou permanecer [vivo ]e que [vou/venho ]estar com vocês. [Como resultado], vocês vão crer [em Cristo ]com mais firmeza, e [por isso ]vão se alegrar.
26 that your glorying in me, in the cause of Christ Jesus, may be more abundant by my coming to you again.
[Isto é, ]vocês vão poder se alegrar muito por Cristo Jesus me [levar a vocês de novo.]
27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or remain absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,
O mais importante é que como irmãos [crentes em Cristo, ]ajam assim como [aprenderam quando ouviram ]a boa mensagem sobre Cristo. Façam isso quer que eu vá ver vocês, quer que eu esteja longe de vocês e os outros me falam de vocês, para que [o que me disserem me faça feliz. ]Eles me dirão que vocês estão unidos e cooperando na sua resistência [àqueles que se opõem à boa mensagem ] (ou, [se opõem a vocês] ). [Vou saber ]que vocês não estão deixando que outros os influenciem a crerem em uma mensagem diferente da boa mensagem [de Cristo. ]
28 and in nothing terrified by your adversaries; which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation; and that from God;
E [vou saber ]que vocês não têm nenhum medo daqueles que se opõem a vocês. Isso vai provar/mostrar a essas pessoas que [Deus ]vai destruí-las, mas vai mostrar/provar a vocês que [Deus ]vai salvar vocês eternamente. É Deus que está fazendo [tudo ]isso.
29 for to you it was given in behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but in his behalf to suffer also;
Lembrem-se que [ele ]na sua bondade não só ajudou vocês a crerem em Cristo, mas [ele ]também na sua bondade deixou que sofressem por Cristo.
30 as ye have the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear of in me.
[Como resultado ]vocês estão [tendo que ]resistir [aqueles que se opõem à boa mensagem ]assim como viram que eu [tive que ]resistir [tais pessoas ali em Filipos], e assim como ouvem que [ainda tenho que ]resistir [pessoas deste tipo ]agora [aqui.]
