Philemon 1
1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy the brother, to Philemon our beloved friend and fellow-laborer,
Paulo, prisioneiro de Jesus Christo, e o irmão Timotheo, ao amado Philemon, nosso cooperador,
2 and to the beloved Apphia, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:
E á amada Apphia, e a Archippo, companheiro de nossa milicia, e á egreja que está em tua casa:
3 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Graça a vós e paz da parte de Deus nosso Pae, e da do Senhor Jesus Christo.
4 I thank my God at all times, making mention of thee in my prayers,
Graças dou ao meu Deus, lembrando-me sempre de ti nas minhas orações;
5 hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
Ouvindo a tua caridade e a fé que tens para com o Senhor Jesus Christo, e para com todos os sanctos:
6 that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us, for Christ Jesus.
Para que a communicação da tua fé seja efficaz no conhecimento de todo o bem que em vós ha por Christo Jesus.
7 For we have great thankfulness and comfort on account of thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.
Porque tive grande gozo e consolação da tua caridade, porque por ti, ó irmão, as entranhas dos sanctos foram recreadas.
8 Wherefore, though I have much boldness in Christ to enjoin upon thee that which is befitting,
Pelo que, ainda que tenha em Christo grande confiança para te mandar o que te convém,
9 yet for love's sake I beseech thee rather; being such a one as Paul an old man, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus,
Todavia peço-te antes por caridade, sendo eu tal como sou, Paulo o velho, e tambem agora prisioneiro de Jesus Christo.
10 I beseech thee for my child, whom I begot in my bonds, Onesimus;
Peço-te por meu filho Onesimo, que gerei nas minhas prisões;
11 who in time past was unprofitable to thee, but is now profitable to thee and to me;
O qual d'antes te era inutil, mas agora a ti e a mim muito util; eu t'o tornei a enviar.
12 whom I have sent back; and do thou [[receive]] him, that is, my own flesh.
Tu, porém, torna a recebel-o como ás minhas entranhas.
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might minister to me in the bonds of the gospel;
Eu bem o quizera reter comigo, para que por ti me servisse nas prisões do evangelho;
14 but I chose to do nothing without thy consent, that thy benefit may be not as from necessity, but willingly.
Porém nada quiz fazer sem o teu parecer, para que o teu beneficio não fosse como por força, mas voluntario.
15 For perhaps he was separated from thee for a season to this end, that thou shouldst receive him back as thine for ever; (aiōnios g166)
Porque bem pode ser que elle se tenha por isso apartado de ti por algum tempo, para que o retivesses para sempre: (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a bond-servant, but above a bond-servant, a brother beloved, especially to me, but how much more to thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord!
Não já como servo, antes, mais do que servo, como irmão amado, particularmente de mim: e quanto mais de ti, assim na carne como no Senhor?
17 If thou then regardest me as a partner, receive him as myself.
Assim pois, se me tens por companheiro, recebe-o como a mim mesmo.
18 And if he wronged thee in anything, or oweth thee, put that to my account.
E, se te fez algum damno, ou te deve alguma coisa, põe-o á minha conta.
19 I Paul have written it with my own hand, I will repay it; not to say to thee, that to me thou owest even thy own self besides.
Eu, Paulo, de minha propria mão o escrevi; eu o pagarei, por te não dizer que ainda mesmo a ti proprio a mim te deves.
20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.
Sim, irmão, eu me regozijarei de ti no Senhor: recreia as minhas entranhas no Senhor.
21 Having confidence in thy obedience I have written to thee, knowing that thou wilt do even more than I say.
Escrevi-te confiado na tua obediencia, sabendo que ainda farás mais do que digo.
22 And at the same time make ready a lodging for me; for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted to you.
E juntamente prepara-me tambem pousada, porque espero que pelas vossas orações vos hei de ser concedido.
23 Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus,
Saudam-te Epaphras, meu companheiro de prisão por Christo Jesus,
24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-laborers, salute thee.
Marcos, Aristarcho, Demas e Lucas, meus cooperadores.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo seja com o vosso espirito. Amen.
