O set me as a seal upon thy heart, As a seal upon thine arm! For love is strong as death; True love is firm as the grave: Its flames are flames of fire, The fire of Jehovah. (Sheol h7585)

Therefore doth the under-world enlarge its greedy throat, And stretch open its mouth without measure, And down go her nobility and her wealth, Her busy throng, and all that was joyful within her. (Sheol h7585)

“Ask thee a sign of Jehovah, thy God; Ask it from below, or in the height above!” (Sheol h7585)

The under-world is in commotion on account of thee, To meet thee at thy coming; It stirreth up before thee the shades, all the mighty of the earth; It arouseth from their thrones all the kings of the nations; (Sheol h7585)

Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, And the sound of thy harps. Vermin have become thy couch, And worms thy covering. (Sheol h7585)
Зіпхну́та в шео́л твоя го́рдість та гра твоїх арф; ви́стелено під тобою черво́ю, і червя́к накриває тебе. (Sheol h7585)

Since ye say, “We have entered into a covenant with death, And with the under-world have we made an agreement, The overflowing scourge, when it passeth through, shall not reach us; For we have made falsehood our refuge, And in deceit we have hidden ourselves.” (Sheol h7585)
Бо кажете ви: „Заповіта ми склали зо смертю і з шео́лом зробили умову. Як перейде той бич, мов вода заливна́, то не при́йде до нас, бо брехню́ ми зробили притулком своїм, і в брехні́ ми схова́лись!“ (Sheol h7585)
And your covenant with death shall be broken, And your agreement with the under-world shall not stand; When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, By it shall ye be beaten down. (Sheol h7585)
І заповіт ваш із смертю пола́маний буде, а ваша умова з шео́лом не втри́мається: як пере́йде нищівна́ ка́ра, то вас вона сто́пче! (Sheol h7585)
I said: “Now, in the quiet of my days, shall I go down to the gates of the under-world; I am deprived of the residue of my years.” (Sheol h7585)
„Я сказав був: Опі́вдні днів своїх відійду́ до шео́лових брам, решти ро́ків своїх я не ма́тиму. (Sheol h7585)
For the under-world cannot praise thee; The realms of death cannot celebrate thee; They that go down to the pit cannot wait for thy faithfulness. (Sheol h7585)

Thou goest to the king with oil, And takest much precious perfume; Thou sendest thine ambassadors afar, Yea, down to the under-world. (Sheol h7585)
І ти до Моло́ха з оливою ходиш, і намно́жуєш масті свої; і посилаєш дале́ко своїх посланці́в, і знижа́єшся аж до шео́лу. (Sheol h7585)
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when he went down to the grave, I caused the deep to mourn, I covered it for him; I restrained on account of him the streams, and the great waters were kept back; And I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, And all the trees of the field fainted for him. І не бу́дуть лежати із ли́царями, що попа́дали із необрі́занців, що зійшли до шео́лу з військо́вим знаря́ддям своїм, і поклали свої мечі під свої го́лови, і їхня провина — на їхніх костя́х, бо жах перед ли́царями був у краї живих, (Sheol h7585)
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death; O death, where is thy plague? O grave, where is thy destruction? Repentance is hidden from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
