ਪਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਭਲਾ, ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ? (Sheol h7585)

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੌਤ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਤਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਦਾ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਆ ਝੁੱਲੇਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਾ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਝੂਠ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਧੋਖੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ, (Sheol h7585)

For the under-world cannot praise thee; The realms of death cannot celebrate thee; They that go down to the pit cannot wait for thy faithfulness. (Sheol h7585)
ਪਤਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ, ਨਾ ਮੌਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ, ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦੇ। (Sheol h7585)
Thou goest to the king with oil, And takest much precious perfume; Thou sendest thine ambassadors afar, Yea, down to the under-world. (Sheol h7585)

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when he went down to the grave, I caused the deep to mourn, I covered it for him; I restrained on account of him the streams, and the great waters were kept back; And I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, And all the trees of the field fainted for him. The mightiest heroes from the midst of the pit shall speak to him and his helpers; For they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword. (Sheol h7585)

Shall they not lie with the mighty of the uncircumcised that are fallen, Who have gone down to the pit with their weapons of war, Having their swords laid under their heads, And their iniquity resting upon their bones, Though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living? ਕੀ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਬੇਸੁੰਨਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੰਗੀ ਸ਼ਸਤਰਾਂ ਸਣੇ ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰ ਗਏ, ਪਏ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਭੈਅ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਨ। (Sheol h7585)

Though they dig down to the under-world, Thence shall my hand take them; Though they climb up to heaven, Thence will I bring them down. (Sheol h7585)

and said: — I cried by reason of my distress to Jehovah, And he heard me: Out of the depth of the under-world I cried, And thou didst hear my voice. (Sheol h7585)

Behold, the man of wine is outrageous; The proud man remaineth not at rest; He enlargeth his desire as the grave; He is as death, and cannot be satisfied; He gathereth to himself all the nations, And collecteth to himself all the kingdoms. (Sheol h7585)

ਜੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੱਜੀ ਅੱਖ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹੋ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਵੇ ਪਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ। (Geenna g1067)

And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that, death having taken place for redemption from the transgressions under the first covenant, they who have been called may receive the everlasting inheritance which was promised. (aiōnios g166)

And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One; and we are in the True One, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)

And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, having an everlasting message of good tidings to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people; (aiōnios g166)

And the smoke of their torment goeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worshiped the beast and his image, and whoever receiveth the mark of his name. (aiōn g165)
