Aionian Verses
As the cloud dissolveth and wasteth away, So he that goeth down to the grave shall arise no more; (Sheol )
'Tis high as heaven, what canst thou do? Deeper than hell, what canst thou know? (Sheol )
O that thou wouldst hide me in the under-world! That thou wouldst conceal me till thy wrath be past! That thou wouldst appoint me a time, and then remember me! (Sheol )
Yea, I look to the grave as my home; I have made my bed in darkness. (Sheol )
It must go down to the bars of the under-world, As soon as there is rest for me in the dust. (Sheol )
They spend their days in prosperity, And in a moment go down to the under-world. (Sheol )
As drought and heat consume the snow waters, So doth the grave the wicked. (Sheol )
The under-world is naked before him, And destruction is without covering. (Sheol )
For in death no praise is given to thee; In the underworld who can give thee thanks? (Sheol )
The wicked shall be driven into the underworld; Yea, all the nations that forger God. (Sheol )
For thou wilt not give me up to the underworld; Nor wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see the pit. (Sheol )
The snares of the underworld surrounded me, And the nets of death seized upon me. (Sheol )
O LORD! thou hast raised me up from the underworld; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol )
Let me not be put to shame, O LORD! for I have called upon thee; Let the wicked be put to shame; Let them be silenced in the grave! (Sheol )
Like sheep they are cast into the underworld; Death shall feed upon them; And the upright shall soon trample upon them. Their form shall be consumed in the underworld, And they shall no more have a dwelling-place. (Sheol )
But God will redeem my life from the underworld; Yea, he will take me under his care. (Pause) (Sheol )
May sudden death seize upon them! May they go down to the underworld alive! For wickedness is in their dwellings, in the midst of them. (Sheol )
For thy kindness to me hath been great; Thou hast delivered me from the depths of the underworld! (Sheol )
For my soul is full of misery, And my life draweth near to the underworld. (Sheol )
What man liveth, and seeth not death? Who can deliver himself from the underworld? (Sheol )
The snares of death encompassed me, And the pains of the underworld seized upon me; I found distress and sorrow. (Sheol )
If I ascend into heaven, thou art there! If I make my bed in the underworld, behold, thou art there! (Sheol )
So are our bones scattered at the mouth of the underworld, As when one furroweth and ploweth up the land. (Sheol )
Let us swallow them up alive, like the underworld, Yea, in full health, as those that go down into the pit; (Sheol )
Her feet go down to death; Her steps lay hold of the under-world. (Sheol )
Her house is the way to the under-world, Leading down to the chambers of death. (Sheol )
But he considereth not that the dead are there, That in the vales of the under-world are her guests. (Sheol )
The underworld, yea, the region of death, is before the LORD; How much more the hearts of the sons of men! (Sheol )
The path of life is upward for the wise, So that he turneth away from the underworld beneath. (Sheol )
Beat him thyself with the rod, And thou shalt rescue him from the underworld. (Sheol )
The realms of the dead are never full; So the eyes of man are never satisfied. (Sheol )
The underworld, and the barren womb; The earth, which is not satiated with water, And fire, which never saith, “It is enough!” (Sheol )
Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might! For there is no work nor device nor knowledge nor wisdom in the under-world, whither thou goest. (Sheol )
O set me as a seal upon thy heart, As a seal upon thine arm! For love is strong as death; True love is firm as the grave: Its flames are flames of fire, The fire of Jehovah. (Sheol )
Therefore doth the under-world enlarge its greedy throat, And stretch open its mouth without measure, And down go her nobility and her wealth, Her busy throng, and all that was joyful within her. (Sheol )
“Ask thee a sign of Jehovah, thy God; Ask it from below, or in the height above!” (Sheol )
The under-world is in commotion on account of thee, To meet thee at thy coming; It stirreth up before thee the shades, all the mighty of the earth; It arouseth from their thrones all the kings of the nations; (Sheol )
Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, And the sound of thy harps. Vermin have become thy couch, And worms thy covering. (Sheol )
But thou art brought down to the grave, To the depths of the pit. (Sheol )
Since ye say, “We have entered into a covenant with death, And with the under-world have we made an agreement, The overflowing scourge, when it passeth through, shall not reach us; For we have made falsehood our refuge, And in deceit we have hidden ourselves.” (Sheol )
And your covenant with death shall be broken, And your agreement with the under-world shall not stand; When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, By it shall ye be beaten down. (Sheol )
I said: “Now, in the quiet of my days, shall I go down to the gates of the under-world; I am deprived of the residue of my years.” (Sheol )
For the under-world cannot praise thee; The realms of death cannot celebrate thee; They that go down to the pit cannot wait for thy faithfulness. (Sheol )
Thou goest to the king with oil, And takest much precious perfume; Thou sendest thine ambassadors afar, Yea, down to the under-world. (Sheol )
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when he went down to the grave, I caused the deep to mourn, I covered it for him; I restrained on account of him the streams, and the great waters were kept back; And I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, And all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol )
At the sound of his fall I made the nations to shake, When I cast him down to the grave, To them that have gone down to the pit; And all the trees of Eden, The choice and best of Lebanon, Even all that drink water, Were comforted in the lower parts of the earth. (Sheol )
They also went down into the grave with him, To them that have been slain with the sword; They also that were his arm, That dwelt under his shadow among the nations. (Sheol )
The mightiest heroes from the midst of the pit shall speak to him and his helpers; For they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword. (Sheol )
Shall they not lie with the mighty of the uncircumcised that are fallen, Who have gone down to the pit with their weapons of war, Having their swords laid under their heads, And their iniquity resting upon their bones, Though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living? (Sheol )
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death; O death, where is thy plague? O grave, where is thy destruction? Repentance is hidden from mine eyes. (Sheol )
Though they dig down to the under-world, Thence shall my hand take them; Though they climb up to heaven, Thence will I bring them down. (Sheol )
and said: — I cried by reason of my distress to Jehovah, And he heard me: Out of the depth of the under-world I cried, And thou didst hear my voice. (Sheol )
Behold, the man of wine is outrageous; The proud man remaineth not at rest; He enlargeth his desire as the grave; He is as death, and cannot be satisfied; He gathereth to himself all the nations, And collecteth to himself all the kingdoms. (Sheol )
But I say to you, that whoever is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the Judges; and whoever shall say to his brother, Simpleton! shall be in danger of the Council; and whoever shall say, Fool! shall be in danger of hell-fire. (Geenna )
ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܟܠ ܡܢ ܕܢܪܓܙ ܥܠ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܐܝܩܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܘܟܠ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܪܩܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܠܠܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
And if thy right eye cause thee to offend, pluck it out, and cast it from thee; for it is better for thee that one of thy members should perish, than that thy whole body should be cast into hell. (Geenna )
ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܦܩܚ ܠܟ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܐܒܕ ܚܕ ܗܕܡܟ ܘܠܐ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܟ ܢܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And if thy right hand cause thee to offend, cut it off, and cast it from thee; for it is better for thee that one of thy members should perish, than that thy whole body should go away into hell. (Geenna )
ܘܐܢ ܐܝܕܟ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܤܘܩ ܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܦܩܚ ܠܟ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܐܒܕ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܗܕܡܝܟ ܘܠܐ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܟ ܢܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Geenna )
ܘܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܩܛܠܝܢ ܦܓܪܐ ܢܦܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܠܡܩܛܠ ܕܚܠܘ ܕܝܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܡܢ ܡܢ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܕܠܢܦܫܐ ܘܠܦܓܪܐ ܢܘܒܕ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And thou, Capernaum! shalt thou be exalted to heaven? Thou shalt be brought down to the underworld; for if the miracles which were done in thee had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Hadēs )
ܘܐܢܬܝ ܟܦܪܢܚܘܡ ܗܝ ܕܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܐܬܬܪܝܡܬܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܝܘܠ ܬܬܚܬܝܢ ܕܐܠܘ ܒܤܕܘܡ ܗܘܘ ܚܝܠܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܘܘ ܒܟܝ ܩܝܡܐ ܗܘܬ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ (Hadēs ) |
And whoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this world, or in the world to come. (aiōn )
ܘܟܠ ܡܢ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܡܠܬܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ ܠܗ ܟܠ ܕܝܢ ܕܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܢܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܒܩ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܥܬܝܕ (aiōn ) |
And what was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. (aiōn )
ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܟܘܒܐ ܐܙܕܪܥ ܗܘ ܗܘ ܕܫܡܥ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܪܢܝܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܛܘܥܝܝ ܕܥܘܬܪܐ ܚܢܩܝܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܗܘܝܐ (aiōn ) |
the enemy that sowed them is the Devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels. (aiōn )
ܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܙܪܥ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܤܛܢܐ ܚܨܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܚܨܘܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܐܟܐ (aiōn ) |
As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the world. (aiōn )
ܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܡܬܓܒܝܢ ܙܝܙܢܐ ܘܝܩܕܝܢ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ (aiōn ) |
So will it be at the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous, (aiōn )
ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܢܦܩܘܢ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܢܦܪܫܘܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܢܝ ܙܕܝܩܐ (aiōn ) |
And I on my part say to thee, that thou art Peter, a rock, and on this rock will I build my church, and the gates of the underworld shall not prevail against it. (Hadēs )
ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܥܠ ܗܕܐ ܟܐܦܐ ܐܒܢܝܗ ܠܥܕܬܝ ܘܬܪܥܐ ܕܫܝܘܠ ܠܐ ܢܚܤܢܘܢܗ (Hadēs ) |
And if thy hand or thy foot is causing thee to fall, cut it off, and cast it from thee; it is better for thee to enter into life maimed or lame, than having two hands, or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. (aiōnios )
ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܕܟ ܐܘ ܪܓܠܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܤܘܩܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܛܒ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܟܕ ܚܓܝܤ ܐܢܬ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܦܫܝܓ ܘܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܝܕܝܢ ܐܘ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܪܓܠܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |

ܘܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܥܝܢܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܘܫܕܝܗ ܡܢܟ ܛܒ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܒܚܕܐ ܥܝܢܐ ܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܥܝܢܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
And lo! one came to him and said, Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have everlasting life? (aiōnios )
ܘܐܬܐ ܚܕ ܩܪܒ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܢܐ ܕܛܒ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܝ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
And every one who hath left brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, or houses, for the sake of my name, will receive many fold more, and will inherit everlasting life. (aiōnios )
ܘܟܠܢܫ ܕܫܒܩ ܒܬܐ ܐܘ ܐܚܐ ܐܘ ܐܚܘܬܐ ܐܘ ܐܒܐ ܐܘ ܐܡܐ ܐܘ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܐܘ ܒܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܩܘܪܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܝ ܚܕ ܒܡܐܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܘܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܢܐܪܬ (aiōnios ) |
And seeing one fig-tree by the road-side, he went up to it, and found nothing on it, but leaves only; and he saith to it, Let there be no fruit from thee hencefoward for ever. And immediately the fig-tree withered. (aiōn )
ܘܚܙܐ ܬܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܘܐܬܐ ܠܘܬܗ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚ ܒܗ ܡܕܡ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܛܪܦܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܟܝ ܬܘܒ ܦܐܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܘܡܚܕܐ ܝܒܫܬ ܬܬܐ ܗܝ (aiōn ) |
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is made, ye make him two-fold mole a son of hell than yourselves. (Geenna )
ܘܝ ܠܟܘܢ ܤܦܪܐ ܘܦܪܝܫܐ ܢܤܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܕܡܬܟܪܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܡܐ ܘܝܒܫܐ ܕܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܚܕ ܓܝܘܪܐ ܘܡܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܗ ܒܪܗ ܕܓܗܢܐ ܐܥܦܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ (Geenna ) |
Serpents, brood of vipers! how can ye escape the punishment of hell? (Geenna )
ܚܘܘܬܐ ܝܠܕܐ ܕܐܟܕܢܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܬܥܪܩܘܢ ܡܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And as he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? and what will be the signs of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (aiōn )
ܘܟܕ ܝܬܒ ܝܫܘܥ ܥܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܙܝܬܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܒܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܗ ܐܡܪ ܠܢ ܐܡܬܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܐܬܐ ܕܡܐܬܝܬܟ ܘܕܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ (aiōn ) |
Then will he say also to those on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the everlasting fire, which is prepared for the Devil and his angels. (aiōnios )
ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܐܡܪ ܐܦ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܤܡܠܗ ܙܠܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢܝ ܠܝܛܐ ܠܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܗܝ ܕܡܛܝܒܐ ܠܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ ܘܠܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ (aiōnios ) |
And these will go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into everlasting life. (aiōnios )
ܘܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܬܫܢܝܩܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
teaching them to observe all things, whatever I have commanded you. And, lo! I am with you always, unto the end of the world. (aiōn )
ܘܐܠܦܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܛܪܘܢ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܦܩܕܬܟܘܢ ܘܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܐܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath no forgiveness forever, but is exposed to everlasting sin.— (aiōn , aiōnios )
ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܢܓܕܦ ܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܐܠܐ ܡܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
but the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn )
ܘܪܢܝܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܛܘܥܝܝ ܕܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܫܪܟܐ ܕܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ܥܐܠܢ ܚܢܩܢ ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܗܘܝܐ (aiōn ) |
And if thy hand cause thee to fall away, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having the two hands to go away into hell, into the fire that is unquenchable. (Geenna )
ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܐܝܕܟ ܦܤܘܩܝܗ ܦܩܚ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܦܫܝܓܐ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܝܕܝܢ ܬܐܙܠ ܠܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And if thy foot is causing thee to fall away, cut it off; it is better for thee to enter into life lame, than having the two feet to be cast into hell. (Geenna )
ܘܐܢ ܪܓܠܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܦܤܘܩܝܗ ܦܩܚ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܬܥܘܠ ܠܚܝܐ ܚܓܝܤܐ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܪܓܠܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ (Geenna ) |
And if thine eye is causing thee to fall away, pluck it out; it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell, (Geenna )
ܘܐܢ ܥܝܢܟ ܡܟܫܠܐ ܠܟ ܚܨܝܗ ܦܩܚ ܗܘ ܠܟ ܕܒܚܕܐ ܥܝܢܟ ܬܥܘܠ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܘ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܥܝܢܝܢ ܬܦܠ ܒܓܗܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
And as he was going out into the way, a certain one running up and kneeling to him, asked him, Good teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit everlasting life? (aiōnios )
ܘܟܕ ܪܕܐ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܪܗܛ ܚܕ ܢܦܠ ܥܠ ܒܘܪܟܘܗܝ ܘܡܫܐܠ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܛܒܐ ܡܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܕܐܬܪ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
who will not receive a hundredfold in the time that now is, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions, and in the world to come everlasting life. (aiōn , aiōnios )
ܘܠܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܚܕ ܒܡܐܐ ܗܫܐ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܬܐ ܘܐܚܐ ܘܐܚܘܬܐ ܘܐܡܗܬܐ ܘܒܢܝܐ ܘܩܘܪܝܐ ܥܡ ܪܕܘܦܝܐ ܘܒܥܠܡܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
And he answering said to it, Let no one eat fruit from thee henceforth for ever. And his disciples heard him. (aiōn )

and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (aiōn )

And they besought him not to command them to go away into the abyss. (Abyssos )

And lo! a certain lawyer stood up to try him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? (aiōnios )

But I will warn you whom to fear; fear him who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, fear him. (Geenna )

And the lord commended the unjust steward for having done wisely; for the sons of this world are wiser toward their generation than the sons of light. (aiōn )

And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends with the unrighteous mammon; that, when it faileth, ye may be received into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios )

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? (aiōnios )

And Jesus said to them, The sons of this world marry, and are given in marriage; (aiōn )

but they who have been accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage; (aiōn )

that every one who believeth in him may have everlasting life. (aiōnios )

For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life. (aiōnios )

but whoever drinketh of the water that I will give him, will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become within him a well of water springing up to everlasting life. (aiōn , aiōnios )

Already is the reaper receiving wages, and gathering fruit unto everlasting life; that both the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. (aiōnios )

He that loveth his life loseth it; and he that hateth his life in this world will keep it unto everlasting life. (aiōnios )

and I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever; (aiōn )

according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him. (aiōnios )

And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send. (aiōnios )

he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that neither was he abandoned to the underworld, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs )
ܘܩܕܡ ܚܙܐ ܘܡܠܠ ܥܠ ܩܝܡܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܠܐ ܐܫܬܒܩ ܒܫܝܘܠ ܐܦܠܐ ܦܓܪܗ ܚܙܐ ܚܒܠܐ (Hadēs ) |
whom heaven indeed must receive until the times of a restoration of all things; of which times God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from the days of old. (aiōn )

Then Paul and Barnabas said boldly and plainly, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you; but seeing ye thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of the everlasting life, lo! we turn to the gentiles. (aiōnios )

And when the gentiles heard this, they rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as were ordained to everlasting life, believed. (aiōnios )

For, ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, being perceived from his works, are clearly seen, so that they might be without excuse. (aïdios )
ܟܤܝܬܗ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܬܪܡܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܠܒܪܝܬܗ ܒܤܘܟܠܐ ܡܬܚܙܝܢ ܘܚܝܠܗ ܘܐܠܗܘܬܗ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܦܩ ܒܪܘܚ (aïdios ) |
because they changed the true God for false gods, and adored and worshipped created things rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn )

everlasting life to those who by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory, and honor, and incorruption; (aiōnios )

For God delivered up all to disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all. (eleēsē )

but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God determined on before the world was, for our glory; (aiōn )

which none of the rulers of this world comprehended; for had they comprehended it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; (aiōn )

in whom the God of this world blinded the understandings of the unbelieving, so that they cannot behold the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (aiōn )

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh out for us, in a higher and still higher degree, an everlasting weight of glory; (aiōnios )

Charge those who are rich in this world that they be not high-minded, nor place their hope in uncertain riches, but in God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; that they do good, (aiōn )

in hope of everlasting life, which God, who cannot lie, promised from the most ancient times, (aiōnios )
ܥܠ ܤܒܪܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܕܡܠܟ ܐܠܗܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܩܕܡ ܙܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܥܠܡܐ (aiōnios ) |
teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in the present world; (aiōn )
ܘܪܕܝܐ ܠܢ ܕܢܟܦܘܪ ܒܪܘܫܥܐ ܘܒܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܘܢܚܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܢܟܦܘܬܐ ܘܒܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ (aiōn ) |
that having been accepted as righteous by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of everlasting life. (aiōnios )
ܕܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܢܙܕܕܩ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܝܪܬܐ ܒܤܒܪܐ ܒܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
For perhaps he was separated from thee for a season to this end, that thou shouldst receive him back as thine for ever; (aiōnios )
ܟܒܪ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܡܛܠ ܗܕܐ ܫܢܝ ܕܫܥܬܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܬܐܚܕܝܘܗܝ (aiōnios ) |
hath at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds, (aiōn )

but of the Son: “Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; and the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness. (aiōn )
ܥܠ ܒܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܕܟܘܪܤܝܟ ܕܝܠܟ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܫܒܛܐ ܦܫܝܛܐ ܫܒܛܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܟ (aiōn ) |
as also he saith in another place, “Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
ܐܝܟ ܕܐܦ ܒܕܘܟܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܒܕܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܝܙܕܩ (aiōn ) |
and being perfected became the author of everlasting salvation to all who obey him, (aiōnios )
ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܬܓܡܪ ܘܗܘܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܠܗ ܥܠܬܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
of the doctrine of baptisms, and of the laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of everlasting judgment. (aiōnios )
ܘܠܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܘܕܤܝܡ ܐܝܕܐ ܘܠܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܠܕܝܢܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (aiōn )
ܘܛܥܡܘ ܡܠܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܥܬܝܕ (aiōn ) |
where as forerunner for us Jesus entered, having become a high-priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn )

For it is testified of him, “Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )

—for they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him who said to him, “The Lord swore, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever,”— (aiōn )
ܗܢܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܠܐ ܡܘܡܬܐ ܗܘܘ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܡܘܡܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܒܝܕ ܕܘܝܕ ܕܝܡܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܕܓܠ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܠܥܠ ܒܕܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܝܙܕܩ (aiōn ) |
but he, because he abideth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood; (aiōn )
ܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܥܠ ܩܝ ܠܐ ܥܒܪܐ ܟܘܡܪܘܬܗ (aiōn ) |
For the Law maketh men high-priests, who have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the Law, maketh the Son, who is perfected for ever. (aiōn )
ܢܡܘܤܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܗܘ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܡܩܝ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܘܡܬܐ ܕܗܘܬ ܒܬܪ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܒܪܐ ܓܡܝܪܐ ܠܥܠ (aiōn ) |
not with the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, and obtained for us everlasting redemption. (aiōnios )
ܘܠܐ ܥܠ ܒܕܡܐ ܕܨܦܪܝܐ ܘܕܥܓܠܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܕܡܐ ܕܢܦܫܗ ܥܠ ܚܕܐ ܙܒܢ ܠܒܝܬ ܡܩܕܫܐ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܕܠܥܠ (aiōnios ) |
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who by his everlasting spirit offered himself without spot to God, purify your conscience from dead works, for the worship of the living God! (aiōnios )
ܟܡܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܕܡܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܒܪܘܚܐ ܕܠܥܠ ܢܦܫܗ ܩܪܒ ܕܠܐ ܡܘ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܢܕܟܐ ܬܐܪܬܢ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܢܫܡܫ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܚܝܐ (aiōnios ) |
And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that, death having taken place for redemption from the transgressions under the first covenant, they who have been called may receive the everlasting inheritance which was promised. (aiōnios )

for then must he have suffered many times since the foundation of the world; but now once in the end of the world he hath appeared, to put away sin by means of his sacrifice. (aiōn )

Through faith we perceive that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that that which is seen hath not been made out of things which appear. (aiōn )

Jesus Christ is yesterday and to-day the same, and for ever. (aiōn )

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of an everlasting covenant, even our Lord Jesus, (aiōnios )

make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, doing in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever. Amen. (aiōn )

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity! The tongue among our members is that which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of life, and is itself set on fire by hell. (Geenna )
ܘܠܫܢܐ ܢܘܪܐ ܗܘ ܘܥܠܡܐ ܕܚܛܝܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܐ ܗܘ ܘܗܘ ܠܫܢܐ ܟܕ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܗܕܡܝܢ ܡܟܬܡ ܠܗ ܠܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܢ ܘܡܘܩܕ ܝܘܒܠܐ ܕܫܪܒܬܢ ܕܪܗܛܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܓܝܓܠܐ ܘܝܩܕ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܒܢܘܪܐ (Geenna ) |
being born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth. (aiōn )
ܐܝܟ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܐܬܝܠܕܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܡܢ ܙܪܥܐ ܕܒܠܐ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܒܠܐ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܚܝܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܩܝܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ (aiōn ) |
but the word of the Lord abideth for ever;” and this is the word which was preached to you. (aiōn )

If any one speak, let him speak as uttering the oracles of God; if any minister, let him do it as from the ability which God giveth; that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )

But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, will, after ye have suffered a while, himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios )
ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܗܘ ܕܩܪܢ ܠܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܒܝܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܢ ܕܟܕ ܢܤܝܒܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܕܢܬܚܝܠ ܘܢܫܬܪܪ ܘܢܬܩܝܡ ܒܗ ܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |

For if God spared not angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them over to chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (Tartaroō )

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory, both now and for ever. (aiōn )

—and the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and announce to you the everlasting life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us, — (aiōnios )

And the world is passing away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (aiōn )

And this is the promise which he himself promised us, even the life everlasting. (aiōnios )

Whoever hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath everlasting life abiding in him. (aiōnios )

These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye who believe in the name of the Son of God have everlasting life. (aiōnios )

And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One; and we are in the True One, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and everlasting life. (aiōnios )

for the sake of the truth which abideth in us, and will be with us for ever. (aiōn )

and the angels which kept not their principality, but left their own dwelling-place, he hath kept in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day; (aïdios )
ܘܠܡܠܐܟܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܛܪܘ ܪܝܫܢܘܬܗܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܫܒܩܘ ܥܘܡܪܐ ܕܝܠܗܘܢ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܕܝܘܡܐ ܪܒܐ ܒܐܤܘܪܐ ܠܐ ܝܕܝܥܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܥܡܛܢܐ ܢܛܪ (aïdios ) |
even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, in like manner with them giving themselves over to fornication, and going away after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of everlasting fire. (aiōnios )
ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܤܕܘܡ ܘܥܡܘܪܐ ܘܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܚܕܪܝܗܝܢ ܕܒܗ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܙܢܝ ܘܐܙܠ ܒܬܪ ܒܤܪܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܤܝܡܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܬܚܘܝܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܟܕ ܡܚܝܒܢ ܠܕܝܢܐ (aiōnios ) |
raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (aiōn )
ܓܠܠܐ ܥܙܝܙܐ ܕܝܡܐ ܕܒܝܕ ܪܘܥܬܗܘܢ ܡܚܘܝܢ ܒܗܬܬܗܘܢ ܟܘܟܒܐ ܡܛܥܝܢܐ ܠܗܠܝܢ ܕܥܡܛܢܐ ܕܚܫܘܟܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܛܝܪ (aiōn ) |
keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (aiōnios )
ܢܦܫܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܚܘܒܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܢܛܪ ܟܕ ܡܤܟܝܢܢ ܠܚܢܢܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܚܝܐ ܕܝܠܢ ܕܠܥܠܡ (aiōnios ) |
to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, is glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, and now, and for ever. Amen. (aiōn )

and made us a kingdom, priests to God his Father, to him be the glory and the dominion for ever. Amen. (aiōn )

ܘܕܚܝ ܘܕܡܝܬܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܘܗܐ ܚܝܐ ܐܝܬܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܘܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܩܠܝܕܐ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܘܕܫܝܘܠ (aiōn , Hadēs ) |
And when the living creatures give glory, and honor, and thanksgiving to him that sitteth on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, (aiōn )
ܘܡܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܐܪܒܥܬܝܗܝܢ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܘܐܝܩܪܐ ܘܩܘܒܠ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܠܕܝܬܒ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܤܝܐ ܘܠܕܚܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
the twenty-four elders fall down before him that sitteth on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn )
ܢܦܠܘܢ ܥܤܪܝܢ ܘܐܪܒܥܐ ܩܫܝܫܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܢ ܕܝܬܒ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܤܝܐ ܘܢܤܓܕܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܠܡܢ ܕܚܝ ܘܢܪܡܘܢ ܟܠܝܠܝܗܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܟܘܪܤܝܐ ܟܕ ܐܡܪܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And every creature which is in heaven, and those which are on the earth and under the earth, and on the sea, and the things in them, I heard them all saying, To him that sitteth upon the throne, and to the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever. (aiōn )
ܘܟܠ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܕܠܬܚܬ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܕܒܝܡܐ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܘܟܠ ܕܒܗܘܢ ܘܫܡܥܬ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܕܝܬܒ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܤܝܐ ܘܠܐܡܪܐ ܕܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܘܐܝܩܪܐ ܘܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܘܐܘܚܕܢܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And I saw, and lo! a pale horse, and the name of him that sat on him was Death; and the underworld was following with him; and there was given to them power over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Hadēs )
ܘܚܙܝܬ ܤܘܤܝܐ ܝܘܪܩܐ ܘܫܡܗ ܕܗܘ ܕܝܬܒ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܡܘܬܐ ܘܫܝܘܠ ܢܩܝܦܐ ܠܗ ܘܐܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܥܠ ܪܘܒܥܗ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܢܩܛܠ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܘܒܡܘܬܐ ܘܒܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ (Hadēs ) |
saying, Amen; the blessing, and the glory, and the wisdom, and the thanksgiving, and the honor, and the power, and the might, be to our God, for ever and ever. (aiōn )
ܟܕ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܘܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܘܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܩܘܒܠ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܐܝܩܪܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܘܥܘܫܢܐ ܠܐܠܗܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fallen out of heaven to the earth, and to him was given the key of the pit of the abyss; (Abyssos )
ܘܕܚܡܫܐ ܙܥܩ ܘܚܙܝܬ ܟܘܟܒܐ ܕܢܦܠ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܩܠܝܕܐ ܕܒܐܪܘܗܝ ܕܬܗܘܡܐ (Abyssos ) |
and he opened the pit of the abyss. And there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
ܘܤܠܩ ܬܢܢܐ ܡܢ ܒܐܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܬܢܢܐ ܕܐܬܘܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܡܫܬܓܪ ܘܚܫܟ ܫܡܫܐ ܘܐܐܪ ܡܢ ܬܢܢܐ ܕܒܐܪܐ (Abyssos ) |
They have over them a king, the angel of the abyss, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek he hath for his name Apollyon. (Abyssos )
ܘܐܝܬ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܬܗܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܥܒܪܐܝܬ ܥܒܕܘ ܘܐܪܡܐܝܬ ܫܡܐ ܠܗ ܐܝܬ ܫܪܐ (Abyssos ) |
and swore by him who liveth for ever and ever, who created the heaven, and the things therein, and the earth and the things therein, and the sea, and the things therein, that there should be no longer delay; (aiōn )
ܘܝܡܐ ܒܗܘ ܕܚܝ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܗܘ ܕܒܪܗ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܘܕܒܗ ܘܠܐܪܥܐ ܘܕܒܗ ܕܬܘܒ ܙܒܢܐ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ (aiōn ) |
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that cometh up out of the abyss will make war against them, and will overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
ܘܡܐ ܕܫܡܠܝܘ ܤܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܤܠܩܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܐ ܬܥܒܕ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܘܬܙܟܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܬܩܛܘܠ ܐܢܘܢ (Abyssos ) |
And the seventh angel sounded, and there followed loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever. (aiōn )
ܘܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܫܒܥܐ ܙܥܩ ܘܗܘܘ ܩܠܐ ܪܘܪܒܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܬ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܐܠܗܢ ܘܕܡܫܝܚܗ ܘܐܡܠܟ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, having an everlasting message of good tidings to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people; (aiōnios )
ܘܚܙܝܬ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܦܪܚ ܡܨܥܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܤܒܪܬܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܠܡܤܒܪܘ ܥܠ ܝܬܒܝ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܥܡ ܘܐܡܘܢ ܘܫܪܒܢ ܘܠܫܢ (aiōnios ) |
And the smoke of their torment goeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worshiped the beast and his image, and whoever receiveth the mark of his name. (aiōn )
ܘܬܢܢܐ ܕܬܫܢܝܩܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܢܤܩ ܘܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܦܐܫܐ ܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܠܠܝܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܤܓܕܝܢ ܠܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܠܨܠܡܗ ܘܠܡܢ ܕܫܩܠ ܪܘܫܡܐ ܕܫܡܗ (aiōn ) |
And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. (aiōn )
ܘܚܕܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܫܒܥܐ ܡܠܐܟܝܢ ܫܒܥ ܙܒܘܪܝܢ ܕܡܠܝܢ ܚܡܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܚܝܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
The beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and is to come up out of the abyss, and goeth into perdition; and they that dwell on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and yet will come. (Abyssos )
ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܚܙܝܬ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܘܠܝܬܝܗ ܥܬܝܕܐ ܕܬܤܩ ܡܢ ܝܡܐ ܘܠܐܒܕܢܐ ܐܙܠܐ ܘܢܬܕܡܪܘܢ ܥܡܪܝ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܟܬܝܒܝܢ ܫܡܗܝܗܘܢ ܒܤܦܪܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܡܢ ܬܪܡܝܬܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܘܠܝܬܝܗ ܘܩܪܒܬ (Abyssos ) |
And a second time they said, Hallelujah! and her smoke goeth up for ever and ever. (aiōn )
ܕܬܪܬܝܢ ܐܡܪܘ ܗܠܠܘܝܐ ܘܬܢܢܗ ܤܠܩ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
And the beast was seized and he who was with him, the false prophet who wrought the signs in his presence, with which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast, and who worshipped his image; the two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr )
ܘܐܬܬܨܝܕܬ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܥܡܗ ܗܘ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܬܘܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܗ ܕܒܗܝܢ ܐܛܥܝ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܢܤܒܘ ܪܘܫܡܐ ܕܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܤܓܕܘ ܠܨܠܡܗ ܘܢܚܬܘ ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܬܪܡܝܘ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܕܝܩܕܐ ܘܕܟܒܪܝܬܐ (Limnē Pyr ) |
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
ܘܚܙܝܬ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܢܚܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܩܠܝܕܐ ܕܬܗܘܡܐ ܘܫܝܫܠܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܒܐܝܕܗ (Abyssos ) |
and cast him into the abyss, and shut him up and set a seal over him, that he may deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years are ended: after that he must be loosed for a short time. (Abyssos )
ܘܐܪܡܝܗ ܒܬܗܘܡܐ ܘܐܚܕ ܘܛܒܥ ܠܥܠ ܡܢܗ ܕܠܐ ܬܘܒ ܢܛܥܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܝܗܝܒ ܠܡܫܪܝܗ ܩܠܝܠ ܙܒܢܐ (Abyssos ) |
And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
ܘܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ ܡܛܥܝܢܗܘܢ ܐܬܪܡܝ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܒܪܝܬܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܚܝܘܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܘܢܫܬܢܩܘܢ ܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܠܠܝܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn , Limnē Pyr ) |
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and the underworld gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged each one according to his works. (Hadēs )
ܘܝܗܒ ܝܡܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܒܗ ܘܡܘܬܐ ܘܫܝܘܠ ܝܗܒܘ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܨܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܬܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܚܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܕܝܗܘܢ (Hadēs ) |
And death and the underworld were cast into the lake of fire; this is the second death, the lake of fire. (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )
ܘܡܘܬܐ ܘܫܝܘܠ ܐܬܪܡܝܘ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܘܬܐ ܬܢܝܢܐ (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr ) |
And if any one was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire. (Limnē Pyr )
ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܐܫܬܟܚ ܕܪܫܝܡ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܐܬܪܡܝ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ (Limnē Pyr ) |
But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and the polluted with abominations, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death. (Limnē Pyr )
ܠܩܢܘܛܬܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܥܘܠܐ ܘܡܤܝܒܐ ܘܩܛܘܠܐ ܘܚܪܫܐ ܘܙܢܝܐ ܘܦܠܚܝ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܓܠܐ ܡܢܬܗܘܢ ܒܝܡܬܐ ܝܩܕܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܘܟܒܪܝܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܡܘܬܐ ܬܢܝܢܐ (Limnē Pyr ) |
And there will be no night, and no need of lamp or light, for the Lord God will shine upon them; and they will reign for ever and ever. (aiōn )
ܘܠܠܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܬܡܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܒܥܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܢܘܗܪܐ ܘܫܪܓܐ ܘܢܘܗܪܗ ܕܫܡܫܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܢܗܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܡܠܟܗܘܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ (aiōn ) |
