Micah 5
1 Yet now gather yourselves in troops, O people of troops! They lay siege against us; With a rod they smite the cheek of the judge of Israel.
Συναθροίσθητι τώρα εις τάγματα, θυγάτηρ ταγμάτων· έθεσε πολιορκίαν εναντίον ημών· θέλουσι πατάξει τον κριτήν του Ισραήλ εν ράβδω κατά της σιαγόνος.
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, Who art small to be among the thousands of Judah, Out of thee shall he come forth for me to be ruler in Israel, Whose origin is from the ancient age, from the days of old!
Και συ, Βηθλεέμ Εφραθά, η μικρά ώστε να ήσαι μεταξύ των χιλιάδων του Ιούδα, εκ σου θέλει εξέλθει εις εμέ ανήρ διά να ήναι ηγούμενος εν τω Ισραήλ· του οποίου αι έξοδοι είναι απ' αρχής, από ημερών αιώνος.
3 But He [[Jehovah]] shall deliver them up, Until she that bringeth forth hath brought forth; Then shall the residue of his brethren return to the children of Israel.
Διά τούτο θέλει αφήσει αυτούς, έως του καιρού καθ' ον η τίκτουσα θέλει γεννήσει· τότε το υπόλοιπον των αδελφών αυτού θέλει επιστρέψει εις τους υιούς Ισραήλ.
4 He shall stand and rule in the strength of Jehovah, In the majesty of Jehovah, his God; And they shall dwell in security, For he shall be great even to the ends of the earth.
Και θέλει σταθή και ποιμάνει εν τη ισχύϊ του Κυρίου, εν τη μεγαλειότητι του ονόματος Κυρίου του Θεού αυτού· και θέλουσι κατοικήσει· διότι τώρα θέλει μεγαλυνθή έως των άκρων της γης.
5 And he shall be peace. When the Assyrian shall come into our land, To trample upon our palaces, Then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, And eight leaders of the people,
Και ούτος θέλει είσθαι ειρήνη. Όταν ο Ασσύριος έλθη εις την γην ημών και όταν πατήση εις τα παλάτια ημών, τότε θέλομεν επεγείρει κατ' αυτού επτά ποιμένας και οκτώ άρχοντας ανθρώπων·
6 And they shall devour the land of Assyria with the sword, The land of Nimrod within her gates. Thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, And treadeth in our borders.
και θέλουσι ποιμάνει την γην της Ασσυρίας εν ρομφαία και την γην του Νεβρώδ εν ταις εισόδοις αυτού· και θέλει ελευθερώσει ημάς εκ του Ασσυρίου, όταν έλθη εις την γην ημών και όταν πατήση εν τοις ορίοις ημών.
7 The residue of Jacob shall be in the midst of many nations As the dew which cometh from Jehovah, As drops of rain upon the grass, Which tarrieth not for man, Nor waiteth for the sons of men.
Και το υπόλοιπον του Ιακώβ θέλει είσθαι εν μέσω λαών πολλών ως δρόσος από Κυρίου, ως ρανίδες επί χόρτου, όστις δεν προσμένει παρά ανθρώπου ουδέ ελπίζει επί υιούς ανθρώπων.
8 The residue of Jacob shall be among the nations, In the midst of many kingdoms, As a lion among the beasts of the forest, As a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, when he assaulteth, treadeth down and teareth, and none can deliver.
Και το υπόλοιπον του Ιακώβ θέλει είσθαι μεταξύ εθνών, εν μέσω λαών πολλών, ως λέων μεταξύ κτηνών του δρυμού, ως σκύμνος μεταξύ ποιμνίων προβάτων, όστις διαβαίνων καταπατεί και διασπαράττει και δεν υπάρχει ο ελευθερών.
9 Thy hand shall be lifted up over thine adversaries, And all thine enemies shall be destroyed!
Η χειρ σου θέλει υψωθή επί τους εναντίους σου, και πάντες οι εχθροί σου θέλουσιν εκκοπή.
10 It shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah, That I will destroy thy horses from the midst of thee, And I will consume thy chariots;
Και εν τη ημέρα εκείνη, λέγει Κύριος, θέλω εξολοθρεύσει τους ίππους σου εκ μέσου σου, και θέλω απολέσει τας αμάξας σου.
11 I will destroy the fortified cities of thy land, And throw down all thy strongholds;
Και θέλω εξολοθρεύσει τας πόλεις της γης σου, και κατεδαφίσει πάντα τα οχυρώματά σου.
12 I will destroy sorceries from thy borders, And soothsayers shall not be with thee.
Και θέλω εξολοθρεύσει τας μαγείας από της χειρός σου, και δεν θέλεις έχει πλέον μάντεις.
13 I will destroy thy graven images and thy statues from the midst of thee, And thou shalt no more bow down to the work of thine hands;
Και θέλω εξολοθρεύσει τα γλυπτά σου και τα είδωλά σου εκ μέσου σου, και δεν θέλεις λατρεύσει πλέον το έργον των χειρών σου.
14 I will root out thy Astartes from the midst of thee, And I will destroy thy fortified cities;
Και θέλω ανασπάσει τα άλση σου εκ μέσου σου, και θέλω αφανίσει τας πόλεις σου.
15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and in fury Upon the nations which have not hearkened to me.
Και θέλω κάμει εκδίκησιν μετά θυμού και μετ' οργής επί τα έθνη, τα οποία δεν μου εισήκουσαν.
