Micah 1
1 The word of Jehovah, which came to Micah, the Morasthite, in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah; which was revealed to him concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Palavra do Senhor, que veiu a Miqueas, morasthita, nos dias de Jothão, Achaz e Ezequias, reis de Judah, a qual elle viu sobre Samaria e Jerusalem.
2 Hear, all ye nations, Give ear, O earth, and all that is therein! The Lord, Jehovah, appeareth as a witness against you, The Lord from his holy palace.
Ouvi, todos os povos, attenta tu, terra, e a plenitude d'ella, e seja o Senhor Jehovah testemunha contra vós, o Senhor, desde o templo da sua sanctidade.
3 Behold, Jehovah cometh forth from his dwelling-place; He cometh down, and advanceth upon the high places of the earth.
Porque eis que o Senhor sae do seu logar, e descerá, e pizará as alturas da terra.
4 The mountains melt under him, And the valleys cleave asunder, Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place.
E os montes debaixo d'elle se derreterão, e os valles se fenderão, como a cera diante do fogo, como as aguas que se precipitam n'um abysmo.
5 For the transgression of Jacob is all this, And for the sin of the house of Israel. Where is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not at Samaria? And where are the high places of Judah? Are they not at Jerusalem?
Tudo isto por causa da prevaricação de Jacob, e dos peccados da casa de Israel: quem é o auctor da rebellião de Jacob? não é Samaria? e quem o das alturas de Judah? não é Jerusalem?
6 Therefore will I make Samaria a heap of stones in the field, A place for the planting of a vineyard; I will pour down her stones into the valley, And lay bare her foundations.
Por isso farei de Samaria um montão de pedras do campo, uma terra de plantar vinhas, e farei rebolar as suas pedras no valle, e descobrirei os seus fundamentos.
7 All her graven images shall be beaten to pieces, And all the hire of her harlotry shall be burned with fire, And all her idols will I destroy. For from the hire of a harlot did she gather her ornaments, And to the hire of a harlot shall they return.
E todas as suas imagens de esculptura serão esmiuçadas, e todos os seus salarios serão queimados pelo fogo, e de todos os seus idolos eu farei uma assolação, porque da paga de prostitutas os ajuntou, e para a paga de prostitutas voltarão.
8 Therefore I will wail and howl; I will go stripped and naked; I will wail like the jackal, And mourn like the ostrich.
Por isso lamentarei, e uivarei, andarei despojado e nú: farei lamentação como de dragões, e pranto como de abestruzes.
9 For her wound is mortal; It extendeth to Judah; It reacheth to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
Porque a sua chaga é incuravel, porque chegou até Judah: estendeu-se até á porta do meu povo, até Jerusalem.
10 Tell it not in Gath! weep not in Acco! In Beth-Aprah roll yourselves in the dust!
Não o annuncieis em Gath, nem choreis muito: revolve-te no pó, na casa de Aphra.
11 Pass on, thou inhabitant of Saphir, naked and in shame! The inhabitant of Zaanan no more goeth out; The grief of Beth-Azel denieth you an abode.
Passa, ó moradora de Saphir, com nudez vergonhosa: a moradora de Zaanan não sae para fóra; o pranto de Beth-ezel receberá de vós a sua estancia.
12 The inhabitant of Maroth mourneth for his goods, For evil came down from Jehovah to the gates of Jerusalem.
Porque a moradora de Maroth teve dôr pelo bem; porque desceu do Senhor o mal até á porta de Jerusalem.
13 Bind the chariot to the courser, O inhabitant of Lachish! Thou wast the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; In thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
Ata os animaes ligeiros ao carro, ó moradora de Lachis (esta é o principio do peccado para a filha de Sião), porque em ti se acharam as transgressões de Israel.
14 Therefore shalt thou resign the possession of Moresheth of Gath; The houses of Achzib shall disappoint the kings of Israel.
Por isso dá presentes a Moreshethgath: as casas de Achzib serão casas de mentira aos reis de Israel.
15 A possessor will I bring to thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah; The glory of Israel shall flee to Adullam.
Ainda te trarei um herdeiro, ó moradora de Maresha: chegar-se-ha até Adullam, para gloria de Israel.
16 Make thyself bald, cut off thy locks, for the children of thy love; Enlarge thy baldness like the eagle; For they have gone from thee into captivity.
Faze-te calva, e tosquia-te, por causa dos filhos das tuas delicias: alarga a tua calva como a aguia, porque te foram levados captivos.
