Matthew 1
1 The genealogy of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham.
Յիսուս Քրիստոսի՝ Դաւիթի որդիին, Աբրահամի որդիին ծնունդի գիրքը:
2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brothers.
Աբրահամ ծնաւ Իսահակը. Իսահակ ծնաւ Յակոբը. Յակոբ ծնաւ Յուդան ու անոր եղբայրները.
3 And Judah begat Pharez and Zarah, by Tamar. And Pharez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram;
Յուդա ծնաւ Փարէսն ու Զարան՝ Թամարէն. Փարէս ծնաւ Եսրոնը. Եսրոն ծնաւ Արամը.
4 and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;
Արամ ծնաւ Ամինադաբը. Ամինադաբ ծնաւ Նաասոնը. Նաասոն ծնաւ Սաղմոնը.
5 and Salmon begat Boaz by Rahab. And Boaz begat Obed by Ruth. And Obed begat Jesse;
Սաղմոն ծնաւ Բոոսը՝ Ռախաբէն. Բոոս ծնաւ Ովբէդը՝ Հռութէն. Ովբէդ ծնաւ Յեսսէն.
6 and Jesse begat David the king. And David begat Solomon by the wife of Uriah.
Յեսսէ ծնաւ Դաւիթ թագաւորը. Դաւիթ թագաւորը ծնաւ Սողոմոնը՝ Ուրիայի կնոջմէն.
7 And Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa;
Սողոմոն ծնաւ Ռոբովամը.
8 and Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;
Ռոբովամ ծնաւ Աբիան. Աբիա ծնաւ Ասան. Ասա ծնաւ Յովսափատը. Յովսափատ ծնաւ Յովրամը. Յովրամ ծնաւ Ոզիան.
9 and Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;
Ոզիա ծնաւ Յովաթամը. Յովաթամ ծնաւ Աքազը, Աքազ ծնաւ Եզեկիան.
10 and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;
Եզեկիա ծնաւ Մանասէն. Մանասէ ծնաւ Ամոնը.
11 and Josiah begat Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the removal to Babylon.
Ամոն ծնաւ Յովսիան. Յովսիա ծնաւ Յեքոնիան ու անոր եղբայրները՝ Բաբելոնի տարագրութեան ատենները.
12 And after the removal to Babylon, Jeconiah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;
Բաբելոնի տարագրութենէն ետք՝ Յեքոնիա ծնաւ Սաղաթիէլը.
13 and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
Սաղաթիէլ ծնաւ Զօրաբաբէլը. Զօրաբաբէլ ծնաւ Աբիուդը. Աբիուդ ծնաւ Եղիակիմը.
14 and Azor begat Zadok; and Zadok begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
Եղիակիմ ծնաւ Ազովրը. Ազովր ծնաւ Սադովկը. Սադովկ ծնաւ Աքինը. Աքին ծնաւ Եղիուդը.
15 and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
Եղիուդ ծնաւ Եղիազարը. Եղիազար ծնաւ Մատթանը.
16 and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
Մատթան ծնաւ Յակոբը. Յակոբ ծնաւ Յովսէփը՝ ամուսինը Մարիամի, որմէ ծնաւ Յիսուս, որ կոչուեցաւ Քրիստոս:
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the removal to Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the removal to Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
Ուրեմն բոլոր սերունդները Աբրահամէն մինչեւ Դաւիթ՝ տասնչորս սերունդ են, եւ Դաւիթէն մինչեւ Բաբելոնի տարագրութիւնը՝ տասնչորս սերունդ, ու Բաբելոնի տարագրութենէն մինչեւ Քրիստոս՝ տասնչորս սերունդ:
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this manner. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
Յիսուս Քրիստոսի ծնունդը եղաւ սա՛ կերպով: Անոր մայրը՝ Մարիամ, Յովսէփի նշանուած, Սուրբ Հոգիէն յղացած գտնուեցաւ՝ դեռ իրարու քով չեկած:
19 Then Joseph her husband, being righteous, and not willing to expose her to shame, purposed to put her away privately.
Յովսէփ՝ անոր ամուսինը, արդար մարդ ըլլալով, ու չուզելով որ խայտառակէ զայն, կը ծրագրէր ծածկաբար արձակել զայն:
20 But while he thought on these things, lo! an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.
Մինչ ան ա՛յդպէս կը մտածէր, ահա՛ Տէրոջ հրեշտակը երեւցաւ անոր՝ երազի մէջ, եւ ըսաւ. «Յովսէ՛փ, Դաւիթի՛ որդի, մի՛ վախնար քովդ առնել կինդ՝ Մարիամը, որովհետեւ անոր մէջ յղացուածը Սուրբ Հոգիէն է:
21 And she will bear a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he will save his people from their sins.
Ան պիտի ծնանի որդի մը, եւ անոր անունը Յիսուս պիտի կոչես, քանի որ ա՛ն պիտի փրկէ իր ժողովուրդը իրենց մեղքերէն»:
22 Now all this took place, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
Այս ամէնը կատարուեցաւ, որպէսզի իրագործուի մարգարէին միջոցով ըսուած Տէրոջ խօսքը.
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel;” that is, when interpreted, God-is with-us.
«Ահա՛ կոյսը պիտի յղանայ ու որդի պիտի ծնանի, եւ անոր անունը Էմմանուէլ պիտի կոչեն», որ կը թարգմանուի՝ Աստուած մեզի հետ:
24 Then Joseph, on waking up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife;
Յովսէփ քունէն արթննալով՝ ըրաւ ինչ որ Տէրոջ հրեշտակը հրամայեց իրեն, եւ քովը առաւ իր կինը:
25 and he knew her not till she had brought forth a son: and he called his name Jesus.
Ու չգիտցաւ զայն՝ մինչեւ որ ան ծնաւ իր անդրանիկ որդին. եւ անոր անունը Յիսուս կոչեց:
